HP 15 laptop: DRIVE HARD DO PARTITIONNE NOT VISIBLE AND INITIALIZATION is NOT POSSIBLE

My laptop worked fine until that currently when my brother introduced it is impossible to return to the start and the error message indicating that "no boot found device, took it back to where I bought it and they have installed a Windows 8.1 which worked for about 3 hours, then began trolling." tried to restart it to see if it will win its normal pase but it never restarted, it opens but could not pass the HP logo in the middle of the screen, when I took it back to the shop to check. They tried to reinstall the operating system, but the hard drive partitions are currently not visible. Help, please.

This message indicates that the file system is damaged, and as a result, one or more of the boot loader files is no longer working properly.  The general solution - that no matter what RENOWNED repair shop would know well - is to start repairing Windows Media and run Startup Repair machine, probably three times.  If that did not set her, the next step would be to start the computer from a hard disk utility and run a file system check.  If defective, which would be more likely to say that the hard drive was not - and then only, the reader will have to be replaced and windows resettled.

In addition, Win8.1 comes with quick start already on.  This force the machine to fall into a new form of hibernation when you stop - preventing access to the disk partitions hard while they are in this State.  Once more, any store repair FAME SAURIEZ cela and told for sure you.

Looks like where you bought is occupied by people who are incompetent when it comes to diagnose and repair Windows PCs.

I assume the unit is no longer under warranty, otherwise you would have contacted HP for repair.  But, that being said, your first step should be to contact the HP Support to see if you have repair options: Contact HP customer service | HP® customer support

An alternative would be to buy a new hard drive, order of HP recovery materials and use it to reinstall the machine.  See the details in the link: HP computers - getting HP discs recovery or a USB HP recovery disc | HP® customer support

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M - drive HARD recovery is not possible

    Hello.

I bought the satellite A660 - 11 M two months ago. A week before, he started to cause a problem that when turned on, boot HARD drive is not possible in the first place and boot priority option page is shown. Only after that I have reset a start command, it started.

To resolve this issue for good, I decided to format the HARD drive using the HDD recovery procedure. Unfortunately, I had to cancel this procedure after 2 minutes, and the start-up is not possible at all since then. He continues to display the message "Boot failure" etc. and staging to the BIOS screen. So, I can not access the recovery procedure even if I keep the F8 key. I am afraid that a recovery on the HARD drive partition can have been damaged due to the forced cancellation.

I have not created a DVD of my own laptop recovery, and the only option seems to buy one from Toshiba (https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx). Before you order a recovery disc, I would ask if my problem can be solved using the disc. Anyone who has experience with the recovery disc could advise me? Another question is to know if a standard warranty let me send to Toshiba ASP? Thank you for reading.

    Hello

    > Another question is to know if a standard warranty let me send to Toshiba ASP?
    Warranty only covers hardware issues.

Question you seems to be related to a software problem.
Therefore, I doubt that installation of the OS would be covered by the warranty.
You should order the recovery disk and must attempt to define the notebook back to factory settings.
Then you should check the features of the laptop.

    Good luck

  • Drive HARD recovery does not not for Satellite Pro L450D-12 x

I have a laptop that I'm fixing for a friend.
According to toshibas official specification it is than a HDD recovery partition which is hidden.

For a reason unknown to me, now the 0 (zero) key does not work. F8 does not work either and the windows system restore does not seem to get me there either.

Can someone please explain to me why this is happening?
Nobody ever touched the hard drive on the alleged recovery hidden partition which is toshibas official specs 100%...

Anyone share a few ideas with me here please

    Kind regards
    Andrew

    Hello

The HARD drive recovery partition is not hidden
In my case the image files when placed on the second partition in Toshiba HDD folder.

However, the fact is that HARD drive recovery could be launched by pressing the F8 key, and then choose the option called repair my computer and in a new window the recovery HARD drive option should be chosen.
If this is not possible, then you will need to retrieve the laptop using the recovery disk.

I guess that this disk is not created in the past. Right? You can create the disc using the recovery disk creator which is preinstalled on all Toshiba laptops.

If this is not possible, then you must order the CD here:

  • Drive hard WD Passport not able to detect Windows 7, only the PC restart can work

    Hello:

I have 500 G WD Passport hard drive. My laptop Dell Win7 64-bit not able to detect it. It does not appear in Device Manager, and disk management. When I show the hidden device, I can see the driver properly installed passport but windows says no device detected. The work around I have to plug my passport for PC and then restart my PC every time. I have no problem with an other laptop Win7, but I don't remember now if it is a machine 32 or 64 bit. Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

    Hi MightyMiro_WD:

Just to say the good news before the explanations below. Your method worked partially. :-)

I followed your instructions as below:

    1. I go to control panel-> device-> Universal Serial Bus controllers Manager and uncheck the "allow this computer to turn off this device' for everything USB with this option: Hub USB root, Generic USB Hub, USB Hub 2.0 MTT and etc.

2 insert the disc WD Passport to my PC. PC cannot detect. Then I insert USB so that my WD Passport always connected. The PC is able to detect the key USB and WD Passport.

3 eject my USB. My WD Passport must always be able to be detected by the PC, even I Plug and unplug several times.

4 remove my WD Passport and connect to another USB port. PC cannot detect. Insert my USB then my WD Passport always connected. The PC is able to detect the key USB and WD Passport.

5 eject my USB. My WD Passport must always be able to be detected by the PC, even I Plug and unplug several times.

6 now I plug/unplug my WD Passport to one of the 2 USB ports without my USB connected.

I then in Power Options in Control Panel to change "USB selective suspend settings" to "disabled". The "turn off hard disk after" has already been fixed forever. Made the start of the procedure from step 2. And behavior are the same from step 2 to step 6.

I restarted my PC, just in case the changes I did for Device Manager settings to take effect. BLUE SCREEN came out so that the closing of my PC. Do not remember the exact error message. After you restart, done at the beginning of the procedure from step 2. And behavior are the same from step 2 to step 6.

Then I restored the changes to 'allow this computer to turn off this device' for all USB items except USB root hub. Just to see if a single USB root hub has been changed, it gives the same result. I also restored the "settings USB selective suspend" "Enabled". I restarted the PC after that. BLUE SCREEN again. Do not remember the exact error message. After you restart, done at the beginning of the procedure from step 2. And behavior are the same from step 2 to step 6.

At this point, I wasn't looking to cancel all changes back to the original and do like to see if it still works as it is.

Conclusion, your method worked partially. I don't know why the WD Passport cannot trigger the PC to recognize by itself for the first time after restarting the PC. It needs USB key to accompany. But I'm happy now. At least I do not need to restart my PC now. :-)

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

  • Drive hard USB is write protected and will not run backup

After the upgrade from Vista to 7 I formatted a drive hard Maxtor Plus and backup is complete with image.  A week more later in a attempt to a backup I received a message that the backup failed, disk is write protected.  I tried to take possession through the prompt command > takeown /f e: and received message disk is write protected.  Formatted drive in another computer with XP, then windows 7 machiene always write protected. Attempted to seize properties.  current owner is a numerical value of the letters about 35.  Will not let me take ownership as administrator again tells me disk is write protected.  Is it possible to remove the write protection this drive E:

Thank you for your response.  It was not a strategy of storage devices in my registry.  I tried to create it manually. I was able to get a folder, but the value is default.  Not believing that I could create the key correctly, that I resorted to restore my system before the first backup and I got access to the external drive at this time.  I will install a new backup and hope that I find not write-protected again.

the problem is when I want to explore my drive hard does not me and it does not appear on my computer but it appears on the printer and Devic as a USB to SATA bridge. Why im not allow exploring my hard drive?

It appears in disk management with or without a drive letter?

I guess that it is an old internal hard drive you have connected to a third-party device so that it can be used as a USB?

  • Drive hard internal are not not in devices

I just upgraded to El Capitan.  What I notice is that one of my internal drives appears on the desktop, but not in my list of devices when I try to save a file, or if I double click on the MacHD and look at the list of devices it.

    Suggestions, please!

Open utility disk from the Applications\utilitaires folder. If you have more than one drive in your computer (not more than one volume on one disc), then take a snapshot of the utility disk with the selected out-bumpy drive entry window and the other with the entry of the volume back to this same disc. This only for the disk with which you have a problem.

  • Drive hard ext appears not

    Hi all

I'm trying to solve a problem with a hard drive. Yesterday I plugged it into a computer and everything worked, I saved all my files, it ejected safely and put it in my bag back. Today, I went to work on other cases and it is plugged. It does not appear on the computer or disk utility. I tried on 3 different computers, as well as using another cord. I tried all the courses of action on other forums of Mac, but nothing has worked. The hard disk itself seems to work - the unit makes noise when it is plugged properly - but does not at all appear.

Any help would be great. The drive cannot be cleaned because she important data on this subject.

It does not appear on the computer or disk utility.

The next thing to look at is if it seems about this mac >... > report... under SATA or USB.

If this is not the case, this is often caused by the failure of the interface card, not the drive itself. Move the reader to an adapter or a different case, it can bring back to life.

    Hello

I think first of all you must check the information contained in the warranty booklet which should end in the area of the HARD drive.
Why? Because as far as I know, Toshiba hard drives are covered with a valid, standard 2-year guarantee from the date of purchase

    Here are the details:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/contents/Toshiba_teg/EU/others/SW/WL_HDD.PDF

You will also find this info:
This warranty is warranty return service and is applicable only in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region where the Toshiba or its authorized service providers.

Unfortunately, this means that this collateral standard isn't available and valid in India

I think you should contact the retailer for Dubai because the dealer did not provide you the correct information on the warranty.

  • Drive hard internal does not appear in Device Manager or disk management, but IT IS there.

According to disk management and Device Manager, I don't have a C in any case, a HD partition at all. (I mean on an internal hard drive) So of course, I have a HD since im typing this now. Laughing out loud. the computer seems to know it's got a HD, because it starts very well, but he can't see it. In addition, I can see it in Explorer and see all the folders and files, but that's all. Everything works as usual. What can I do to fix this?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, 232,88 GB Hitachi HD, NTFS, 4 GB of ram and sound on an HP laptop. I tried to restore windows, ran several antivirus scans and scans of mal-ware/spyware/ad-ware - all came up with nothing and all updates, still the problem persists.

Have you updated your BIOS? This could be a long shot, but have you tried to run the tool it Fix ?
