HP 15 laptop: screen turns is not on

When I turn the laptop on when it's on battery everything starts very well. If I turn on the computer when it is connected, or connect after booting, the screen remains black. Don't know what to do about this.

Thanks, but I solved the problem. I think it's a matter of windows 10. I removed and returned to 8.1 and have not had any problems. It's the second question, I've had with windows 10, black screens and my HP laptop.

  • Computer DV7-1825dx laptop screen turns off at least connected to the HDMI

I have a Pavilion dv7-1825dx running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  The other day, I simply closed the laptop into hibernation.  At the time, it was only connected to a printer and a wireless mouse.  The next day, I opened the laptop and it turned on but the screen stays off.  I shut down the computer by holding the power button and then turned back on.  The screen appeared and asked me if I wanted to start Windows normally.  Then, I got the loading screen for Windows.  As soon as he was done loading, the screen turns off and the chime sounded for the login screen.  I repeated again than having the same problem.  I typed my password, but the screen stays off.  Because I often hang my computer to our TV via HDMI, I thought I would try it, and that is, both screens lit.  I then disconnected the HDMI cable and the computer screen exploded again.  Plugged into the HDMI and activated.  I went into options for NVIDIA and noticed that there is an analog display with the screen of television and laptop (up to three screens on the list).  I restarted in safe mode, and the screen of the laptop works great.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  That I can not connect my laptop to the TV whenever I want to use.

    Thank you advance!

Save the driver on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

Create a Windows restore point before starting.

During the installation of the new driver, click on "Custom" and there will be a link to uninstall the old drivers and all of your current settings, this before you install the new driver.

  • Laptop screen turns off but the system never sleeps when closed.

    Hello!

I have a laptop Alienware M14x and quite frequently when I close my laptop, the screen turns off but the system will not. When I reopen it, the screen stays off and the system seems still to go but no matter what I press on, the screen does not turn. To fix it, I just turn it off power then back on the power button. I know that my laptop is still running because the fans are still running and the lights on the front and on the keyboard are lit. I don't know if this is a problem common or not, but it's really annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! If there are other details that might help, do not hesitate to ask!

    Thank you!

    -S.

Firstly I find a windows command can tell you if you have something that prevents the mode 'sleep'. Run as administrator command window and use the command: powercfg-query.

If you have my problem and SRVNET is active, you will see this:

    SYSTEM:
    [DRIVER] \FileSystem\srvnet
An active remote client recently sent requests for this machine.

    2. to add SRVNET to the exempt list, do the following at the command prompt (EXACTLY as shown below.)  DRIVER MUST be written in capital letters):

powercfg - requestsoverride DRIVER '\FileSystem\srvnet' system Awaymode

and for good measure (not sure if necessary but I did anyway)...

powercfg - requestsoverride DRIVER "srvnet' system Awaymode

    3. once all is said and done, it should look like this after you run:

    powercfg - requestsoverride

    [DRIVER]
    \FileSystem\srvnet SYSTEM AWAYMODE
    srvnet SYSTEM AWAYMODE

4 enjoy again the "sleep mode".

    Hello

It is very rare for not working. Make sure that the computer is completely shut down. To make sure that the computer is shutdown, you can try to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds straight, and once done. Press the power button once and keep tapping F8 or F10 as many times as you can.

If it still does not work.

Based on the specifications of your computer, you should have a Help button on the top of your keyboard. While the computer is completely shut down. Press the Assist.

If all else fails, I fear that already corrupt FBI Virus even your recovery partition then its time to get a recovery media disk. You can contact - parts and accessories for the 800-488-7669.

  • Laptop screen turns off during an update of the windows system

    Hello world

I got a new acer laptop with windows 8 last week. Today, there was a small system update that requires a restart of the system to apply the updates. So I restarted my laptop, but I have not seen any sign of update 5 minutes (maybe my internet connection is slow, I don't know...) So (stupidly), I decided to manually cut my laptop and maybe he would return to his State to not update so I might update later. But now the display lights. I can hear the fan working and lights are turning, etc. But I don't see anything. Please help me.

You are amazing for the quick response. Seriously. I got to the store and they said it had nothing to do with the update or turn off the power. It is the LCD LED screen. It was defective, and I got a new free of charge. Thanks again

  • Laptop screen turns off during a rotation to 90 degrees. OK, less than 90.

The laptop screen will be empty to a blank screen when the screen is rotated about 90 degrres or more. (a ususal viewing angle)  If the sc reen turned 30 degrees, the laptop works very well and the screen is fine. Unfortuantely I can't work with the screen almost completely closed.  Microcenter computer says it is the logic board but the problem seems so mechanical in nature.  MAchine works fine otherwise. Logic board of expensive repair for a 4 year old laptop. Any suggestions or ideas.

  • Pavilion dv6tse - 3100: laptop screen turns sometimes and sometimes does not work

When I turn on my laptop, there is a chance that the monitor does not light. What to do when this happens is I turn it works again and again until the screen lights up finally. When it lights up, it works very well and stays on until I turn it off and then the problem can repeat once again. Notes: I tried to connect to an external monitor and the TV via HDMI, and there is no signal when the monitor won't turn on, but works perfectly if the monitor does not light. If the screen lights up or not, everything else seems to work fine as I can blindly off keys and hear the music of connect/disconnect.

    Please help me!

    Hi brianh123,

Without a doubt, a connection problem. You can give us a call on repair options. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. If you are the guarantee, there will be a charge. • Opening, Firefox screen turns blue, not a failure, just the entire screen is blue.

There isn't a "Blue Screen of Death", the site does not load and the Firefox screen becomes completely (without search left bars) tinted blue color that uses Windows 7. Hello Thomas_Hunt, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...

If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem. It would also be interesting what graphics hardware (description of the adapter, driver date and version of the driver) you use - you can access this information in firefox > help > correct information to the bottom of this page... Thank you

  • Satellite A215-S4747 screen does turn off not moored with Dynadock.

I am now running XP on my new laptop and I am VERY happy that I could find all the necessary drivers. A behavior while also happening is when Vista has been loaded, it is that I could not get the laptop screen turns off when it is docked. I have searched and read and followed the instructions to the letter. I'm not not a newbie lazy posting before search... it just doesn't happen as it should.

If someone managed to solve this problem, please guide me to the promised land!

The feature you are requesting cannot be provided by the Dynadock.
It's a USB-dock worker with a generation of additional graphics card in and no docking solution.
The only thing you can do is disable any action when you close the lid in power management, then close the laptop screen when it is docked with Dynadock.
The display is off when you close the display cover.

Hmm have you tried to reinstall / recover the laptop to see if it helps to solve this problem?
In my opinion you should try it because it could be a problem in the system.

Otherwise if new system installation / restore does not help you, it could be a malfunction of the equipment.

  • Satellite 1800 - 752S - the screen turns off

    Hello world.
    I have a satellite 1800 - 752S.
Since an ew months ithas a weird problem: the screen turns off. If I press and release the button the lid on what it is, but after that turns off again quickly. OT goes off sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few minutes, or even hours. Sometimes it provides be when I run out of battery and bothers me on AC, sometimes against. It works fine, after I turn sleep or hibernation several times, and after a reboot, it bothers me. I've updated his BIOS for the lates on this site, which would not help. I guess it's a hardware problem, because it's the same problem under Linux, and I tried to install different versions of drivers and windows (not only the one of the recovery CD). Anyone have the same problem before. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you very much

    Hello

I think you're right, it's a hardware problem. But to be sure, try connecting an external monitor. If it works without problem while laptops, screen turns off, then it must be a hardware failure.

I guess it's a problem with the FL inverter. You have to give your machine a service partner Toshiba for repair.

    Good bye
