The laptop is returned to Toshiba (they have installed win xp from an original cd of microsoft, so I need activation, and I have to do this on 20 computers laptops and good course that no, the toshiba cd creator app, win the dvd...)

I contact toshiba, I'm not sure that they understand what I want, I got a new dvd of restoration with the same problem

Anyone has a solution I would be very happy

Maybe something to change in the bios but I don't know what?

    Thanks for any help

In General original Toshiba recovery image is tested and should work properly on certain model of laptop. If there is a problem with recovery original you should clarify this with Toshiba directly.
As far as I know the BIOS should be set to default settings and nothing should be changed in the BIOS settings when you want to use the recovery image.

All I can imagine is that there is something wrong in the image itself. In the past, I had a similar problem with old Portege 2000.

Is done: If you want to use the original image you must clarify this with Toshiba. Toshiba must offer good job recovery image. If you want to use own WXP then you must purchase the license for this. Toshiba has nothing to do with the activation of the OS.
(> I have to do this on 20 computers, laptops and of course not, the toshiba cd soft > creator, win the dvd...)
    How to understand this?
You want to buy a recovery disk and install it on 20 laptop computers Tecra absolutely identical?

  • Create the set of WIN Vista recovery disks

I have version OEM of WIN Vista Home Premium installed on my Dell Studio 540 desktop computer.  No recovery disk which came with my computer's operating system.

How to create a set of WIN Vista Home Premium recovery disc?  As can an alternate option, I save my OS on my 500 GB external hard drive that I currently use to backup photos, music, emails and other files?

Thank you very much for the help.

Contact Dell or look in the manual or on the Dell support Web site to learn how to create a recovery media. Another good option is the image of your system with a program like Acronis True Image and save the image on the external hard drive. This way you can go back to a system that works with all your programs, improvements, etc. very quickly instead of having to start over with a clean install. True Image is also incremental backup image so that your image is always cool. There are other imaging programs too - TI is exactly the one I use. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Recovery disk. ISO?

Is it acceptable (legal, etc.) and possibly to create a. A manufacturer of PC WIN 7 recovery disk ISO image and burn a disc so I can install on old remains portable hard drive via a USB adapter cable. When I try to use the recovery disk, I bought manufacturer, that it will not allow to install via a USB adapter cable. I hope that I could work around this problem by creating a bootable CD or live and by installing this way via a USB adapter cable but I have'nt has found a way to create a. ISO image of the recovery still floppy.  I'm not even sure manufacturers recovery disk will allow disc be turned into one. ISO image. In this case I still don't know exactly how to create the recovery disk ISO (disc; who files etc.).  There are 2 recovery (disc 1 & disc 2) disks and there is also a copy discs in a folder in the computer. I already spoke with the support of the manufacturers, and that they do not have a problem with me make an image ISO they have not all the tips on how to do it. I tried a couple of creators of image (Daemon Tools; CD BurnerXP, without success. Any input would be appreciated gratefully.  Thank you very much.             P.S. I am not forum read and write; I hope I sent this to the right place

I have moved your question to the Windows of the feedback topic area.

I assume that you bought the recovery disk is designed for the PC you are trying to use it with the option - in other words, it is provided by this provider of PC.

You should be able to create ISO using any number of CD/DVD burning tools. If the ISO that results can be used to restore this PC is another question.

If you are looking to use ISO (or the original recovery disk) to get Windows on a 2nd drive, it would be against the terms of the license for Windows.

  • 2000 HP recovery disks don't work

    I have a laptop HP 2000 with Win 7 64 bit.

I tried to reinstall using the recovery disks that I made to my computer, they do not work. I got a box saying that my computer is not taken in charge, etc.

I ordered the HP recovery disks, using the number of my product, they finally arrived and same result:

This computer is not supported by the system recovery media

you will not be able to continue to recover this system with these media

    error:

    0100-3676-358B-358C-358D-358E-358F-3590-3591-3592

I called HP support and I gave to the first person information (product, series, etc.) and he insisted that I ordered the correct disks. I explained that I had ordered online, provided all the information requested and could not reinstall. He told me that I need to reorder online and it would help me so I came back and began to reorganize, even if I didn't feel I should have to pay. He then told me since it is their mistake, he would transfer me and I would like to get free new disks. I was transferred to another number, I began to explain my situation and he said that they were not supported and it would be for me, but back I'll transfer. They started to ask me the same questions and asked what I was getting the error... I had to end the conversation in order to prepare for work.

I installed Ubuntu to see if there is no problem, no problem. I was hoping to reinstall the original software, but could not. I reinstalled Windows 7 (I have the key that is on the bottom of the laptop), but there are a few unknown riders I need to reinstall it. Difficult, when we look at and no indication as to what the drivers that they are (network, etc.)

    I need help, suggestions.

    Thank you.

Paul, I'll give you a kudo for your help, not only for me but for others.

  • Satellite Pro A10 recovery disks fail to reinstall Win XP

My A10 Pro Sat operated happily running a system dual boot (XP and Mandriva) before a failure to start a day.
I've successfully used the Toshiba recovery disks and everything was OK for a year or two before the same problem reappeared.

Now the recovery disk Nr.1does not restores the system and the laptop turns off after appearing to run normally for about 20 seconds.

Restore the MBR and fitness by using a recovery disk Win 98 could not solve the problem.

    Anyone has any ideas please?

    > Now the Nr.1does recovery disk does not restore the system and the laptop turns off after appearing to run normally for about 20 seconds.

Sorry, but this sentence confuses me. What you mean under function normally? Start your laptop computer, enter BIOS settings and leave it with that. Laptop does turns off after a short time or what?

Maybe you should explain a little better what happens when you start your laptop.

  • Re: Need to win 7 for my L750 Pro Satellite recovery disk

    Hi all

Could someone tell me where to download or get a copy of the OEM Win 7 for my L750 Pro Satellite recovery disk? The laptop has a new HARD drive without a job recovery partition and I don't have the recovery CD.

    Help please.

    > If you have not done some recovery disks, toshiba very kindly will give you some... for $66!
Of my knowledge in Europe you can get it for 30

However, as you say, there is an option to create recovery disk _For free_ and this must be done on the first day of the purchase. In case something goes wrong with the HARD drive, you can use these recovery disks to reinstall the _For free_ system.

By the way: the license at the bottom of the device key belongs to the version of Windows OEM preinstalled on your laptop. Its share of the recovery image.

  • 2000-2B19WM HP: 2000-2b19wm recovery disk

Where can I find the disc of recovery for this laptop?

    Hello:

You can order it by going to the support page for your laptop computer, select the Drivers section, and then select the operating system of W8 and the link to order recovery disks will be the last element on the Web page.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-2000-2b00-notebook-PC-series/5296210/model/5360117

But it is a problem right now...

All the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from pages support again.

This happened earlier in the week also.

Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.

Whether the weekend will not help much either.

  • Help! -New Dell i3847 - Windows 7 Pro - Dell Recovery Disk Win 8.1 & DBaR don't make a backup of the system

I bought a new Dell i3847 and it has Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed at the factory on it.

I wanted to make a complete backup of the system, but the Dell Backup and Recovery software does not allow me to make a backup of the system.  In addition, I was unable to create a system recovery disk using Dell backup and restore.

I can't use the drive system recovery expected Dell because it clearly states Windows 8.1

    (1) why is a Win 8.1 drive included with a Win 7 Pro 64 bit system?

    (2) what is the problem with Dell backup and recovery that she:

    (a) cannot create a recovery disc factory

    (b) allow me to create a backup system so I can go back to the factory State

    Help!

It has been 2.5 hours and it is still "initialize disk" to create a recovery of the plant.  It usually somewhere fails during initialization or in writing.    Spend hours for each failed attempt to create a factory recovery disc is NOT GOOD!

The factory restore disk was finally created.

Dell is now a person pays create a backup system and the user must download a update to do so.

Microsoft has a tool to create a system image and make a recovery / restore disc which is free.

So, I used DBaR do restore disk by the factory.

However, to make a system image and a recovery / restore for that, I used windows 7 built in software.

  • Replacement drive hard need to re - install Win 8 no product key, no recovery disk

Hard drive of my niece Envy HP dv7 is on it is the last step. I will soon replace it. Problem is that I can't find product key to win 8. I've read up and find that the key is embedded in the BIOS. My quest is: when I have reinstall Win 8 it automatically inserts the key from the BIOS? I also need to find a copy of win 8 64-bit to use, because it does not have the recovery disks. In the past, I found img copy of Win 7, 64 bit online and it worked fine. Is there an img to Win 8 64 bit? I think that the main problem is the product key. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

First, create a backup of your installation of Windows 8 on an external hard drive:
