  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion Notebook 17-e153sa and the function of the keyboard does not. I recommend to uninstall the keyboard in the Device Manager, then restart the computer. It must be reinstalled the drivers for Windows 7 and keyboard. I was wondering what version of Windows 7 do you have installed?

  Please, press the Win + X keys, or simply right click on the Start button.

  Choose "device manager".

  Take a look under "monitor." In similar cases, generic PnP monitor is disabled (down arrow).

  Just do a right click and choose 'enable '.
