    For the most part the media buttons don t work because a driver problems (Toshiba control buttons). I had a similar problem with my laptop and I could solve it easily.

    Well, these buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package).

    Some of my keys on my laptop keyboard stopped working all of a sudden. I don't know if I accidentally pressed something or if it is something to do with the FN keys, but I'd love to help if someone might be able to!
    Keys does not:

    Question mark and the slash key
    the last letter of the alphabet key
    the arrow keys
    and the 0 on the right side of the pad numbers

    I can't say for sure, but I think that it has nothing to do with the settings. It is unclear to me that there is an option where you can disable certain keys on the keyboard.
    To be honest, I think it's a malfunction of the keyboard.

    My laptop is a Pavilion DV7-3020sa.

    The sensitive keys on the Panel just below the screen suddenly stopped working.

    I can't adjust the volume using the "cursor" key, I can't cut the volume either, nor can I turn on my wireless (I'm on a cable ethernet for the moment)

    Any ideas how I can get the touch sensitive screen working again please.

    If both SHIFT keys are the only keys with which you are having problems, it is more than likely a driver problem.
    1. If you click Start in Windows and in the empty space, type "Device Manager" and open it
    2. you should see a section "Keyboards", or you can find it under "Human Interface Devices"
    3. Once you find the reference of the keyboard, right-click on it, select "uninstall."
