HP 2520HC: install the software of the printer over the network

Hello

I use the HP 2520HC series at the office. I use a network connection.

Printing works fine, however I want to be able to scan as well. I downloaded the printing software, but the only option I choose, connect via USB? The printer is connected to another PC, so this isn't an option.

such a USB printer allow only all features on a directly connected USB computer.

Sharing a printer over the network allows sharing of a printer, Windows don't offer any scanner, the sharing feature.

You can print from another PC to a shared printer, you will not be able to analyze such, to analyze the use of the computer connected directly to your printer via a USB port.

    Hi, I faced the same problem, and now I have corrected this issue.

    He was vmnet.ko, at least for me.

    Here's how to solve,

    You can find the latest vmnet.ko of /lib/modules/~previous_kernel_version~/misc/vmnet.ko

    Copy vmnet.ko into your current/lib/modules/your_current_version/misc folder.

    And then run vmware, if you fail at the first, please run again.

    If so, you can run vmwre!

    I ve checked the page pilot European Toshiba and found everything to install the drivers successfully on the Tecra A8 PTA83 series...!

    All the XP drivers are available.
    I presume that check you didn t txt file of installation instructions that was placed on the driver page! Am I wrong?

    Please check this document! You must download and install all drivers and tools specified in the right order!
    The proper installation order is important!

    I downloaded latest Win7 RC and installed on a virtual machine in VMware workstation. It not installed the virtual NIC driver so I have no internet!

  • Impossible to install a printer over a network; requires a driver must be installed.

    Recently I got problem with my printer, so I removed and have reinstalled the software. The printer is now works great on the host computer network.

    I have a home network and I want to share a computer, I already checked the box on the properties of the printer for printer sharing. I wanted to add my printer to another computer through the network from my computer, but it would not allow me. I tried to change the permission settings, but it doesn't are not all the parameters or tabs in printer properties that allow me to change anything either, so I went straight to the other computer and he DID I would add a computer on the network, but after I selected the printer to add and clicked on OK another message appeared and he said that my computer does not have the correct driver. INF installed and he asked me to look it up.

    I'm stuck because since this is a computer on the network and not the host computer that can have the file, I don't know how to access my computer through another computer on the network, and I do not know which file is in application or how to find it.

  • Canon MX860 will print over wireless network but don't scan (W7 OS)

    I have two laptops with XP and one with Windows 7 64 bit. Both connected to a router Wireless Linksys - internet connections well, feel very good on the two machines. The XP laptop will scan the network, but the Windows 7 laptop gets a dialog box of Scangear with this message: cannot communicate with scanner, for these reasons scanner is turned off scanner is disconnected. Have uninstalled and reinstalled all the software and drivers (with firewall disabled according to the instructions of canons), loads software successfully - but still no luck with the network scanning. Also downloaded Scangear tool - but when he's looking for the network printer, it does not. Support of Cannon says now there's an incompatibility with W7 and Microsoft can only solve the problem. Also noticed that the Canon IJ Network tool is loaded, but it does not work on W7 - new OK on the XP machine machine. Would appreciate any suggestions.

    Try the driver directly from Intel.  The hardware ID you posted is for an Intel ethernet card.

    The first file listed is for W7 32 bit.

    I have an Elite 8200, which is the same model as yours, except that it's a chipset series 6 Intel a little better than you do.

    I had no problem installing W7 x 64 on it.

    You don't need any CD for install/access to the router.  Go to 192.168.1.1 with a computer wired with your browser.  Username blank password, "admin". Now, you can configure the router manually as all.

    Hmmm... strange, so I'm guessing that you use not NT4 service pack 6 as your installation CD.

    If you cannot use the latest service pack, you should always be able to get from the amd website.
