HP 364XL ink cartridge performance

Hello

I find it really frustrating when you buy replacement cartridges for the performance is never made clear on your changing? I guess the SM596EE from HP's higher performance, but your store site Suresupply fails to tell you that my hypothesis is based on the price.  Why not give clear markings of performance on your pacakging I see the frustration of consumers on different websites to complain that they buy what they think is a reasonable priced at replacement of your choice but then find the performance is so small that it push and then to not compatible brand cheaper!

My questions are what is the official return of each batch? and what are the correct references you place your order?

Regular size black has a yield of 250 and the colors are each 300.

If you can open the links I've included, you can find the answers to these questions, get the product numbers and prices. Welcome to the HP store< simply="" search="" the="" 364="" cartridges.="">

T1) I have a Photosmart 7520 aged 8 months with 5 ink cartridge connectors.  Previously I need only to purchase the large black 364XL ink cartridge.  Last week, as my color was exhausted, I bought the pack-4 364, which, to my surprise, a big black, little Rose, blue and yellow cartridges - no small black.  Can I buy the small size black separately?

Q2) I was also surprised that every 5 went out at the same time, while still showing a small amount on screen.  They aim to stop after so many copies, regardless of the necessary ink left in one of the cartridges?

The small cartridge "black" is a photo cartridge, you can buy a 364 or 364xl photo cartridge separately.

There is a boot process that uses little ink when a cartridge is replaced to remove the air the printheads.  If some cartridges are low on ink (but perhaps not completely depleted) change a different cartridge may cause enough ink to use to exhaust the cartridges of weak.

I now am getting an error for ink problems cartridge to remove and then reinstall, first black and now both cartridges. I reinstalled them several times and have restarted the printer twice.

Hello @Mikegaand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have problems with the cartridge. I would like to help!

I recommend you start by removing the ink cartridges and perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also say to following the steps found in this document:

  • Re: Black ink cartridge does not work

I'm having the same problem.  New cartridge.  I bought a pack of three for $59.00.  I think to install a new one and return to the rest of the three Pack if one is defective.  Don't know what else to do.

    Hello Traceey,

Please perform the below mentioned steps, which should solve the problem.

    1. Check the level of ink on the ink cartridges, it should be full of > 25%.
    2. Press on the SETUP ( button tool key icon), and then
    3. Press TOOLS , and then select CLEAN PRINTHEAD.

You may be able to execute the above mentioned as follows at least for 2 - 3 times.

If the problem persists, call the HP TECHNICAL SUPPORT for assistance.

If you are in the United States, the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836.

  • HP Deskjet 3600 series. Initializing ink cartridges? More than 3 partners? s

    Hello:

I was recently offered a printer HP deskjet 3620 or 3650. I have only the manual for it to 3600 series moment.

    There are 27, 28 & 58 ink cartridges.

    My questions are:

1} require initialization of ink as many HP printers do or can I use regular cartridges. The original inks disappeared somewhere in transit.

2} If initializing cartridges are required are they still available?

3} it is my understanding that this printer has never been created or had it ink.

y at - there a way to tell if this is true? There is now no cartridge inside and it appears unblemished, even if all the original packaging has been removed.

4} am I correct to assume that if the ink cartridges installed previously to a point that this printer is useless that the print heads are probably blocked.?

    Please notify.

I saw this place is around the same time that your other post.  If you just want to know about the initial optimization process of your printer for the best performance?  To install ink cartridges are available and are used to prepare the print head, but are not absolutely necessary.  You don't have to contact HP for Setup ink cartridges for him.  You can call technical support at 1-800-474-6836 (US) or follow this link to get the phone number for your country and ask them to order it.  Or call 1-888-999-4747 HP Home and Home Office, but I don't know if you can get them at the store. Just as a previous tech support agent I know I could order setup of ink cartridges.

A lack of alignment can occur if you do not use the first time ink installation cartridges, but I doubt it.  There is no way of knowing if she has never had ink in it before without having already inked and install on the computer in order to access the Toolbox and then choosing to print a test page that may have this information on it.  On newer models,'s called it a Printer Status Report.  It will tell you all about his prior use.

I don't think the printer hangs another ink in there if there is no ink installation cartridges installed the first time.  I don't know the refilled ink cartridges may damage the print head, but I think that you will be sure to use regular ink you'll be safer if you call, your printer is in or out of warranty.

Here is a nice little document all about these issues and much more.  I hope this helps!

  • How to remove, head clean print Photosmart C6380. 6515 Photosmart ink cartridge compatibility

I had found information several months ago on how to remove and clean the print head, but I can't find it now.  I replaced the Photosmart C6380 with a 6515 Photosmart because when the 6380 stopped working I had to buy a large amount of ink and the 6515 used the same ink cartridge #.  However, the 6515 will not accept the cartridges with the error message they are an older generation.  I think that if the cartrides were not compatible, a number of different cartridge should be used.  So now, I want to try to solve the problem with the C6380 printhead, so I don't have to trash my entire ink supply.

Here is a document on how to clean the contacts on the cartridges themselves.

I think that the removal of the print head and of cleaning you're wanting is in this post here.

Please note that soaking the print head should only be performed on the print heads that are out of warranty. Check that warranty end date to the printhead located by the contacts on the print head to make sure he went from warranty. The reason I put in custody which is a printhead soaking, a guarantee will be cancelled.

  • Usable difference quantity ink between regular and XL ink cartridges?

I have the Pixma MG5420 printer (in fact, the MG5422, which is the same thing, just labeled for sale by Wal-Mart).  It takes ink CLI-251 (IGP-250 for the pigmented black cartridge).

Canon (or anyone, as in a magazine or computer magazine) makes available any information that would allow to quantify the difference in amount of usable between ordinary ink and cartridges XL?  I just need information on a form (such as how many grams or ounces of usable ink or how many pages of the same content can be printed before the cartridge was empty and printing is broken) that would allow me to make a comparison objective between the various offers on the regular and XL cartridges.

    Thank you.

    Hi Peva,

Go to Canon inkjet page yields. http://www.USA.Canon.com/Cusa/consumer/standard_display/resources-and-learning-consumer/reference_ma...

The ordinary Canon cartridge lists the number of ink and other important information, i.e. the color and maximum performance of page. For most canon printers, it is usually around 150 to 200 pages, depending on the model number.

The Canon XL ink cartridge will be twice the amount of ink and can be cheaper than buying two regular packs. Looking at the packaging of the cartridge you will find that the XL prints generally 300 to 420 pages for most Canon printers.

I bought the XXL ink cartridge. Hard to find in stores, but he found online at amazon.

Good luck in your search, but remember only the use of ink cannon on your printer. My mom once bought a generic ink to save money and ruined his printer.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: new ink cartridges

The number on the printer indicates no 364 ink cartridge should be used, but shows that no 564XL is necessary when checking the Internet for replacement cartridges. Please indicate if 564XL cartridges can be used or where I can buy any 364, I don't see much of that number when searching can.

    Hello

Depending on where you live actually. To be sure is to ensure: ONLY use of the number contained in the existing cartridges unless you are in a new country now.

    FYI,.

HP 364 and 364XL are for 7520 printers in Western Europe

HP 564 and 564XL are for 7520 printers in the Americas and Asia Pacific (excluding the India, China and the Japan)

    ...

Where to buy: Please check your local stores or stores of HP/vosBoutiques in your country.

  • New ink cartridges show empty

    Hello

HP Photosmart C6380 All in one

Despite the purchase of authentic HP ink cartridges from a reputable supplier, the ink is not recognized or shows empty as they do now. Eitherwayi unable to print. I bought several and still get the same message. I installed also the latest version of the software whicg was a nightmare in itself, I have vista on a machine, and there is no way I can load the software.

I understand that manufacturers often include a date of birth on the chip in the ink, I thought was illegal, because it requires you to buy more ink, even if the printer ink is still usable. I tried to call help HP but they wanted to charge me for technical advice, hmm I prefer tray to the printer and completely avoid the HP products.

I don't know if there is a solution to this or the printer / software is completely unsuitable for the use nor HP are trying to scam people with ink through illegal chipping.

    Hello world

OK, if you started using this cartridge is it a date of guarantee on the cartridge. If the cartridge is considered defectiver we can replace the cartridge, as long as it's still in the warranty period on the cartridge. Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. S set of standard print samples:

HP publishes page performance data based on the industry standard to measure yields (ISO 24711) cartridge. Under the ISO 24711 testing guidelines, a standard set of 5 8 1/2 x 11 pages are printed continuously until the cartridge reaches end of life. For various reasons, these test conditions may not reflect what you encounter in everyday use. Standard ISO page yields should be used only as a starting point for comparison purposes, and not to predict actual performance, you'll get your cartridge and HP printer. Actual performance varies considerably according to the content of the printed pages, frequency of printing and other factors. What I need to do is print the printer status report just until you are ready to install your new game cartridges and then scan. Send this page to me using the line attachments in the message box. Once you begin to receive messages that the cartridges are low or need to be replaced I need to print you another status report, and analysis that he be sent to me. Once we have the front and after the reports, we can then take a look at what is being printed and how real pages you had with the cartridges. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Suddenly and without reason: Incompatible black ink cartridge Message

Suddenly and without apparent reason, I get a message (on my HP Officejet printer 4500 G510) telling me that my black cartridge is not compatible.  I removed the cartridge and cleaned as well as contacts in which he welcomed inside my computer, have disconnected and reconnected my printer (in an attmpe of "reset" it) and I continue to have the same message with a flashing red exclamation mark on my screen!  Uugh!  Please advise and thank you!

    Godsabode,

Thanks for trying my recommendation, I'm happy are you upward and printing! I wouldn't say that HP is crack down on the reloaded cartridges that you can use them in your printer, but HP does not guarantee the performance or quality of the reloaded cartridges.

To get a better understanding of take a look here: I can refill the ink in my HP ink cartridge?

You can also check out some of the tests performed by HP: HP vs done cartridges

Still, I recommend that you use genuine HP cartridges, if you are still having problems with the cartridges don't forget that they also have a guarantee.

    I hope this helps!

  • Ink cartridge incompatible cartridge message

I have a HP Officejet 3525 bought 1 year ago. I have chenged the original cartridges and replaced by 670 well worked cartridges.

Now the 670 cartridges are all weak and the ink needs to be replaced. I couldn't find a replacement 670 to staples or Best Buy here in Calgary so I used only the 564 black (3525 model is indicated on the packaging of the ink cartridge).

When I came home and replaced the 670 with 564 black, I received the message Incompatible cartridge.

Before replacing the 564 to best guy and try this again, can you tell me if this is the correct replacement for the 3525 cartridge? and if not what should I use for a replacement.

I use this printer on a Windows network 7/8 PCs and laptops.

    Thank you

Good and bad news. I got this information by myself and share it.

    GOOS NEWS:

HP may change the region associated with your printer if locally available for your model of printer ink cartridges can be used. (Why HP is this information easily available for this problem)

They cannot promise to repeat this step if you regularly move or happen shortly afterwards.

You must buy the cartridges available locally for your model and make install when HP communicates with you to perform localization. The reset process takes the data from the new cartridges and VOILA you are in service again

    Bad news:

Like my printer, if for some reason any printer accepts not all combinations of keys for reset of that regionalization can not be prformed and you will need to get a new printer available locally. Or, if under warranty, HP may choose to send you a replacement.

Given that the answer was not the person of HP in answer to my question here on the blog, I hope I have good answeted my question and help the person next to such a question.

I just bought a map of the HP Instank ink. I'm about to use the first black cartridge, but I still have another cartridge new color I need to use. I start support fully if I use only one cartridge?

    Hey @EMJ-00.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some questions about the instant the ink program. I can help you with that.

When you print, the system determines if an instant ink page is printed according to it there a moment cartridge in the printer. If you insert the black cartridge, your only color pages into account. My suggestion is to insert two instant ink cartridges and save the color cartridge for emergencies.
