HP 564XL cartridges

Where can I use the 'photo' included in the package 564XL cartridge? It is too small for positioning the notch in the black print cartridge and is not labeled as a 'color '.

Hi nitrocpl, thanks for the nice comment, brought a smile to my face on this cold Tuesday morning

I recently bought the cartridge 564XL (I need a longer life of the cartridge). The standard cartridge 564 is empty, which I did not replace.

Why should I get both black cartridges? A photo and a copy? I wish HP are available that you need both to work, because I would have ordered the 564 both 564XL together.

Please tell us if I can print using only the 564XL.

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

The answer is that you need not the two Photo black ink and regular black ink in the 7520 Photosmart printer and printer Photosmart 7525.

Media type / paper selection plays a role in the way the ink is selected.

    ====================================================

The following is provided by our own Provost Expert Bob_Headrick

The document explains how to use the ordinary black and photo black ink cartridges used in the 7520 Photosmart and printers Photosmart 7525.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Partial extract:

The smallest cartridge is the photo cartridge, used for printing of dark areas when the photo paper is selected in the driver, or 'automatic' paper selection is enabled, the media type is detected as photo paper.  It can also be used in some cases when you print graphics on plain paper.  If you are printing on plain paper make sure "plain paper" is selected in the selection of the type of media for the driver.

The Photosmart 7525 [and Photosmart 7520] may require ink in all colors (including photos and black) to avoid any clogging of printheads.  See here for more information on how the ink is used.  PhotoSmart 7525 is an IIC printer in the terminology of this document.

  • 564XL cartridges Cyan, Magenta and yellow for Photosmart Plus B209

Before my shift or I turned off and spends a lot of money for the ink cartridges for our Photosmart Plus B209 printer, can anyone tell me for sure ifXL 564 (cyan, yellow and magenta) color cartridges will be really appropriate in this printer?  I looked at the connectors of the cartridge in the printer and they don't look big enough to take something bigger than 564 regular cartridges I have there now.

I already made the mistake of buying a combo pack of cartridges with 564 yellow cartridges, Cyan, Magenta and black Photo.  I discovered, after the fact, the 564 Photo Black does not fit into the B209.  So, before you make the same mistake with color cartridges, I was hoping that someone could tell me if the 564XLs of Cyan, yellow and Magenta in fact fits.

I know the black cartridge 564XL will adapt, but it is obvious because of the cartridge housing is greater.

Anyone can answer this question reliable?  I would really appreciate it.  I need to order a certain number of cartridges and if color XL cartridges will be adapted, I want to get these.

564xl color cartridges will fit the Photosmart B209a.  Color xl cartridges are the same physical size as the cartridges 'standards', but are filled with ink more.

  • HP Photosmart 5510 564XL cartridge error

I just went to OfficeMax and bought a XL 564 cartridge "Black" replacement for my photosmart 5510.

I was careful not to get the black cartridge that said it worked only with the 5 printers cartridges.  On the side of the box shows the 5510 as being compatible.

I removed the black cartridge which was in my printer and installed a new.  Now my printer shows me an error that says that you cannot use a cartridge configuration once the printer is already initialized.

True, the replacement cartridge is labeled on the barcode of the cartridge as a "Setup" however I replaced that was also labeled "setup."

From what I read, install cartridges are not supposed to be sold as a replacement.  What can I do now?

Then contact the retailer or HP support for the replaced cartridge.

  • replace the ink cartridges and now I get no output black (although the colors seem to work). Help?

With the help of a printer C410e/HP Photosmart Premium e-ALL-IN-ONE, I went through the original ink cartridges without any problem.  I have received warnings that the ink was low and bought the HP 564XL cartridges and installed according to the instructions.  Now, the output seems only to print the color inks, but not black.  After trying help indicating to try pulling the plug for 30 seconds and then plug, I got about 2 pages of output stained and white pages and then again.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I solved this by buying another cartridge of black ink.   Guess I got ripped off on my previous purchase.  The two were the same shop HP ink cartridges.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: new ink cartridges

The number on the printer indicates no 364 ink cartridge should be used, but shows that no 564XL is necessary when checking the Internet for replacement cartridges. Please indicate if 564XL cartridges can be used or where I can buy any 364, I don't see much of that number when searching can.

    Hello

Depending on where you live actually. To be sure is to ensure: ONLY use of the number contained in the existing cartridges unless you are in a new country now.

    FYI,.

HP 364 and 364XL are for 7520 printers in Western Europe

HP 564 and 564XL are for 7520 printers in the Americas and Asia Pacific (excluding the India, China and the Japan)

    ...

Where to buy: Please check your local stores or stores of HP/vosBoutiques in your country.

    Kind regards.

  • With the help of HP ink cartridges which have been refilled.

I'm having my cartridges refilled at costco 564xl. When I install the reloaded cartridges the ink level is very low. How can I solve this problem

    Maxie,

If this is the case, then

    • These people mean that perhaps it is a way of deterrence - as a way to deter you from using filled cartridges in the first place?  Personal opinion: printing software is not likely to be vindictive.
    • The results can be completely benign - the printer and/or the software may not be able to read the contents correctly the cartridges 'foreigners '.

I was never in a position where I had to use reloaded cartridges.

I use in my PhotoSmart 7520 564XL cartridges - HP cartridges show completely full when it is installed.  The conduct of the audit software say "estimated ink levels".

    Try / review

You can get a better idea of whether the ink is actually 'low' for starters if you check the number of pages printed - compare the number when you start a new cartridge (s) (game of) for the number of sheets printed when you need to replace the cartridges.  Check the total against the number of sheets that must be printed at the size of the cartridge.

You can check with Costco for the number of estimaterd of leaves, you can imagine by charged cartridge.

Another important factor: the printer will answer as seems it.  If Costco said you should get 200 sheets per cartridge and you get 100 sheets, then this is what you get.  This is true for any cartridge.  You must take into account the types of documents or printed photos.

It's certainly a bit of work for an ink cartridge - it will give you an idea of whether you are in fact save money using reloaded cartridges.

    Happy 2014!

  • Confusion with xl cartridges

    Hello

I hope someone can clear the air with the confusion with xl cartridges,

    I just bought a HP Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-in-One Printer (C410a);

I need to buy replacement cartridges. The specs. in 564, will the 564XL

to adapt. They work for all colors and photo and black.

    Thank you.

    Gabe

This camera takes 5 cartridges (564 and 564xl)

All the 564xl will work in this printer. I noticed that black (picture not black) xl is slightly larger than normal size. All other 564XL cartridges are the same size, but have more ink in them. But they fit in the same locations.

If you don't print often no pictures, I'd just get the black xl. I preffer print documents in project using the black cartridge only because I'm cheap and I don't replace my ink very often.

I can't find 564XL color cartridges in a combo pack, unfortunately. So I don't know if it is cheaper to buy the combo pack regular or XL cartridges.

But to answer your question, yes the 564xl black, cyan, magenta, yellow and black photo all work with this device.

    See you soon...

  • Black ink cartridge 564XL will work in the 6510 AIO printer?

Black ink cartridge 564XL will work in the 6510 AIO printer?

A cartridge of the same size that the color cartridge would be the photo cartridge.  This is not interechangable with the black cartridge, you will need a black cartridge.

  • Photosmart 7520: Photosmart 7520 and cartridge 564XL

My documentation of the printer, the output of SureSupply and 564XL box (black) cartridge all indicate that the 564XL black cartridge is compatible with my printer Photosmart 7520.   I took out the cartridge configuration and does not have the XL cartridge.

Returned to the store, bought a cartridge "564 Black" to discover that it is too big also.  This box also indicates that it will work with my printer.   He said a PHOTO so presumed it would fit in the regular slot for blacks.

I don't know what to buy.  I suck with two major inappropriate cartridges.   The cartridge door does not seem to adapt for larger cartridges.  What should I do?

Well, my dumb ass figured it out.

I had for some reason any thought the photo cartridge door installation had regular black.  My diagnosis on the HP printer also stated that the right cartridge was the photo cartridge.   No wonder!

Am now printing and just need to buy the replacement of the photo.

Well, I'm frelieved to know that I am dumb, not crazy

Thanks for your comments.  I was out to give up.

Peace to you and happy new year!

  • 564XL black ink cartridge doesn't fit, even if hp site says it should. What's wrong?

I have a Photosmart HP 5510 printer, model # B111A. I bought a black cartridge 564XL for her, and I can't get to fit. I checked the instructions on how to change the ink, but it said nothing about why does not the XL. The HP Web site States that it is compatible with my printer, then why doesn't he take it, and is there something special I need to do to install it?

Thinner 564XL black ink is figure 1, Ciara_B of post.  Please just make sure that the number is CN684W or CN680W.  I know that eBay has them.  Which are sold in the general store retail package doesn't have a part number.

Another issue that I see in this thread, some users confuse black with 'black photo' which are not the same.
