• Photosmart 7760 installation stops at 7-9%

  7760 received used without the software CD.  Software downloaded from this site.  When I try to install the software, the installation freezes at 7 to 9 percent.  I use the Task Manager to restart the computer.  There is a link to "Fix" associated with this Web site.  There is a section "Installation stops at 7%.  This topic dealing with installation problems associated with Dell laptops; I have a Gateway desktop computer.  The site said to solve the problem, should I open the Task Manager and syntpenh.exe close file and then insert a CD.  Once again, I don't have cd, but have downloaded the software.  Unfortunately, there is no syntpenh.exe on my task manager.  This is the case, say instructions start close everything that is running; This computer warns me when I close something necessary, and that I should not go ahead.  This doesn't seem to be the case.  I close the operations, finally I close something vital and eventually clear the screen.  This requires a stop holding the power on button, which results in a loss complete of what ever I made progress.  All solutions to this, or all go in the trash and buy a Kodak photo printer?

  What operating system are you using, have you tried the Msconfig - disableing all starting on the Startup tab, navigate to services - click Hide all microsoftservices than to click on disable all services. Restart try to install now, don't forget to turn on disabled services and commissioning.

  The printer uses a driver of operating system, the only editable in the driver parameters can be minimal. That being said, if you don't know how to access the devices section and printers on your computer for tweaking the settings, please have a look to manage the devices section in this document Microsoft Add, remove, and manage your devices and printers .

  Once there, right-click on your printer, select properties from the printer (not only of the properties) and this is where you can change the default values. Please be aware that some programs have the ability to override the settings of the driver, then you might find some programs require that you go the properties or preferences within the program to adjust the setting again. If you don't see the setting you are looking for, please click on the Advanced button to see if the option is there.

  I'm sorry but Pavilion 7760 has not been tested for Windows 8 and it will most likely not all drivers available for Windows 8 on this unit.

  As a solution, if you want to keep 8 Windows on the computer, you can try a Windows 8 compatible USB wireless adapter.

  I understand that you want to implement your 7760 Photosmart wireless to your new laptop to Windows 8. Unfortunately, after checking the printer specifications, this printer is only USB supported, for the wireless connection is not an option.

  

  The only way to connect the printer would use an update of Windows, as this model of printer is older and does not support full feature driver for Windows 8, Windows 8 is a newer operating system.

  Try following the steps here to connect the printer to your laptop: install a 8 Windows with Windows Update driver

  If the printer does not work, I would say looking into a printer updated which is fully compatible with full drivers available for Windows 8. If you want to give us a call directly, I'm sure that we can discuss your options of the printer with you.

• Photosmart 7760: restrict the rows included with normal printing

  I cleaned cartarages, calibrated printed page and test page. The colors are great. Prints all documents, but added random horizontal lines close interval about 1 centimeter on paper. At the end of the text, the lines bow down and then make a vertical line. My computer is Windows XP and my laptop is Windows 8. I've only used the windows 8 during about six months. It has always worked fine until 4 days ago. Help, thanks!

  I would like to help you to solve the problem of quality of white lines that you encounter during your computers print to your HP Photosmart 7760 Photo Printer today. • The 32-bit driver for the Photosmart 7760 isn't in Windows Update. Please post somewhere.

  I'm trying to install the driver for my Photosmart 7760 (7700 series) on a 32-bit version of Win7 and Windows update is stating, that it does not exist. I consult the list of drivers after their update by using the windows update button in the Add Printer Wizard and there is the 7400 series and the 7800 series. Series No. 7700. I go to your support site to download and it tells me to use Windows update.

  I'm now stuck in a time loop in and out. It never ends. Use windows update, there is no. Go to your site, tell you to use windows update.

  I love my Photosmart 7760! But recently traded in office with Windows XP laptop with Windows 10. Print things, and some things don't (some docs printed, others do not; I can print of painting, but not Notepad or Quicken.) I ran "HP printer installation wizard" and got the following text, "For the selected printer drivers do not seem to be properly installed." Then, the "printing software seems to be missing or configured incorrectly for the selected printer." When I click to fix it, it goes back to the screen first, and nothing is fixed. I uninstalled and reinstalled Quicken and updated at the latest.  I have the latest drivers for the printer. In addition, I saw that this printer is not supported any longer. Is there a hope for this printer work with Windows 10?

  You're right, that HP can't stand the 7760.

  Windows 10 comes with a Basic for your 7760 driver, but not all programs will work with him.

  For a long time, my printer malfunction which I then returned to HP under warranty. When they gave it back to me, the printer LCD display in German. For a long then I ignored it & confused through, but now I'm getting a flashing red light which I suppose means an error state but I can't read the dialog on the screen to correct.   I understand that your HP Photosmart 7760 Photo printer has the German value on the screen on the front and you want the printer must be set to English you have a flashing red and error on your printer and you don't know what that means. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Now, you should know that the only way to manually set the language on your printer is in arrow from the front panel menu and select the language, and then select the language you need. Because your printer is in an error state, it is possible that the front panel display will fail to answer correctly. Also, because of the age of your printer, I am unable to access menus on front panel of your product. I have the path that you must follow to change the language, but I can't tell you how many clicks and arrows need to be affected between each menu. This will create challenges that we will need to decipher what is on your monitor to make sure that we are accessing the correct menus. That being said, can I please have you follow the steps below.

  1. On your printer control panel, select the Menu button
  2. Press the down arrow key to select the Preferences menu (may say Vorlieben)
  3. Click OK to access preferences
  4. Then arrow down to what the language will be highlighted (may say Sprache)
  5. Click OK to access the language menu
  6. Press the down arrow key to select English and click OK

  Your printer's LCD screen will now appear in English. Please take note of the error. If you need assistance troubleshooting error please let me know what is the error message.

• HOP, 7760 Photosmart printer Mac OSX 10.6 - offline

  I got Photosmart 7760 for quite awhile and have been using it extensively with MAC OSX 10.6 until 2 days ago.  Then printing guest said that it is in offline mode.  I've been online for 2 days to look for solutions... with absolutely no success.  Downloaded the drivers... all unplugged and reconnected... downloaded the drivers.

  I can't get the printer appears in the printer preferences... I am at a loss and really, really need this printer.  There must be a solution, but my intermediate understanding of all this technology completely failed me.

  Any help - will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

  I did some research in your question about drivers for the Photosmart 7760 on Mac 7.6.1. There are not. I don't see a way that this printer works on the computer.

• HP Photosmart 7760 printer will not print, the error message in the queue

  I have Mac 10.6.8.   Printer (HP Photosmart 7760) has stopped working.  Reinstalled the drivers updated. Went through the steps including unplugging cables USB and all the other steps recommended by HP. When I press print, the document goes to the queue and and the error message is displayed. When I press the resume to print, nothing happens.

  We will restore the print system:

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
  -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
