HP B209a?

I have a HP B209a Photosmart Plus, which is a wireless network printer. Print network settings appears that Microsoft Web Services are enabled, but this doesn't show any code. This printer is compatible with eprint and if not, is there any update next to be so? Thank you.

The Photosmart B209a more isn't compatible ePrint. I don't think that there are plans in place to enable printing on this printer.

What is the best replacement fo printer b209a HP? (photosmart liked)

    Hello fredilys,

If you are looking for something similar to the Photosmart B209a, I would say the Photosmart 6520. By comparing the features between the two printers, technically speaking the Photosmart 6520 is an enhanced version of what you currently have.

I have included the "HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 6520 e-all-in-one and HP Photosmart 6520 e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications" for you to look over.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Photosmart B209a more: what printer active uses 364 cartridges?

My HP Photosmart Plus B209a reports a phantom paper jam and I forgot to fix that.   If I replace this machine I want to use my big stock of 364 genuine cartridges, then should what active printer I buy?  Help please.

    Hey @Brambley,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you have a problem with a false paper jam in the printer Photosmart Plus B209a all-in-one. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve paper jam errors on your printer.

If after following the above, you cannot clear the jam, the printer will need to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking this link and fill out the form below to see what are the options available to them. When you do so, they should be able to offer a model that uses the same cartridges, or they may be able to swap cartridges for you.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to clear the jam or come up with a solution, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B209A does not print black ink despite trying two separate NEW ink cartridges black

    HP Photosmart B209A more

    MAC

No error messages but trying to align or check colors - black doesn't print at all

No change - knew ink was low so I tried to install a new black ink cartridge - then one day later tried an another new black ink cartridge

I tried all the techniques of "Troubleshooting" listed on the page Web - align, clean the print heads, install the new cartridges, looking for trouble with the vents, etc.  I have only used HP ink cartridges.

    Hi abruce,.

Usually, it is a result of dried/clogged ink nozzles in the printer or the print head.

According to some other users on the forums, you can remove the print head (use this guide if you are unsure how: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01944580)

Make sure the cartridges are removed from the print head

Dive head in hot water, nozzles downwards. (about 1 in. of water) and leave any residue of ink to flow. This process should take about 15 minutes. Ensure that the print head is completely dried out and there is no moisture in the electrical contacts or the rest of the part.

    I hope this helps!

  • HP b209a printer range will not connect to router comcast using the WPS button

HP b209a printer range will not connect to router comcast using the WPS button. I try to use a new Comcast router (technicolor TC8305C). When I try to connect the printer times out and says that no connections are when I check for wireless connections. Yet, when I print the network configuration page, the SSID for the new router is at the top of the list. I reinstalled the software by the support of Comcast, but it did not help.  I'm ideas please help!

    Thank you

Never use WPS to connect.  If done it should be disabled in the router for security reasons.  Connect manually via the SSID and password following the instructions in the manual.

  • Our HP Photosmart Plus b209a-m this that it is not connected after a change of modem.

Lightning struck the power line outside our House. We had to replace the modem. Now our HP Photosmart Plus b209a-m shows that it is not connected. Connect us wirelessly. What should I do to get this operational return.

Go to Applications > Hewlett-Packard > [your printer model] > setting up the printer and software.  Run it to re - connect your printer to your wireless network.  Need you a USB cable temporarily.  Connect it only when the software asks you.

  • Printer HP B209a does not get the IP address of my router

Computer is a HP G71 running under Windows 7 64-bit

Router is a NETGEAR's WNR3500L with the latest firmware and a unique SSID

Using the latest version of the software install HP B209a

Towards the end of the installation for the wireless feature, the installation stops and tells me that my PC is on a network other than my printer.  All wireless devices connected to my router have 10.0.0 # IP addresses.  Through many installs the printers IP address is constantly as 192.168.0.109.  The summary on the printer wireless shows my unique routers SSID but when I open my router software and devices attached, the printer is not listed.  My router is attached to a simple DSL modem with no wireless features.  I tried the following hotfixes recommended in these forums.

    1. Connect the printer to the router through WPS with push button.  Connection is returned as a success, but identified printer router SSID as grabbled alphanumeric characters and not an IP address.  Router does not show the printer in the devices.  During the printing installation software PC and printer fail to communicate when the USB cable is connected.
    2. Connect the printer to the router through WPS with PIN.  Connection is returned as a success, but all the information in the router has been changed and all other wireless devices disconnected.  Connection to the router has shown the SSID THAT became grabbled of alphanumeric characters and the security key was changed.  No wireless device was attached to the router, but the wired connections remain intact.  Fixed key SSID and security.  All other wireless devices back in place, printer does not have.
    3. Ping network devices.  Ping 10.0.0.1 to 7 came back as successful.  192.168.1.109 ping failed.
    4. IP address of the printer has entered into a browser address bar.  Returns a Google search page, but not for access to the network printer.  Address of more than one entry address bar and couldn't connect to 10.0.0.1 (router) and 192.168.0.1 (DSL modem)
    5. Unplug the DSL modem router.  All wireless devices to connect to the router but do not have access to the internet.  During the installation of the printer software, when you are prompted to connect the USB to the PC, printer and PC fail to communicate.
    6. Turned off the Windows Firewall, both public and private without success
    7. Used the Hp network diagnostic utility and it does not can find printer.

I have installed and uninstalled the software several times.  The printer has always identified my identifier SSID is correct and the network key.  But during the finalization of installation I get the message and cannot connect PC printer because they are on different networks.  I have no idea where the printer receives the IP address.  It should be an address from the router, but it is not.  IP address of the modem DSL IS in the format # 192.168.0, but given that the modem is the base model with the wireless or network capabilities, the printer cannot logically connect to it.  I tried to unplug the router and the printer several times without success.  The possibility of changing the IP of the printer through the browser is not possible for the reasons given in 4.  What are the other options to change the IP address of the printer?  If I can assign an address # 10.0.0, I think it will solve my problems.

Is your DSL modem is a modem/router combo (most are)?  If so, it probably has a structure of 192.168.0.X and is probably a wired router (only).

This DSL modem/router is attached to the WAN, or one of the LAN ports on the back of the Netgear?  Try to move to the other type of port, and then restart both routers.

On the front of the printer, click the settings 'Restore defaults' and wireless the wireless radio.

Finally, the Netgear settings, here are some tips:

1 make sure that DHCP is active, the SSID is not hidden and that MAC filtering is not enabled.

    2. ensure that the 802.11 g mode (as well as other modes is very well).

    3. use WPA or WPA encryption, not WEP (it is not secure and may cause connection problems)

4 change the channel of the Netgear to 11 (Yes, I know it makes no sense, but it works).

  • B209a printer cannot find the new wireless network

Let me start that I am not very tech savy to start so I read other discussions related to this and could not find a snwer to solve my problem.

I upgraded my router wireless internet 10 days ago and since then my printer cannot find a wireless connection. That's what I've tried so far, I tried to restart the printer, unpluging it and pluging reconnect, restart my router, myrouter to reset (which knocked my internet at home for hours). The rest of my Office Home phones and cell phones all pick up my network, but my printer can't seem to find it. He said only: "No connection found" on the touch screen.

I run a wireless network Test report, and he says that he cannot find a SSID. But when I printed on a Page of Configuration of HP network it states that he discovered 5 networks, including mine.

My wireless router is a rhythm. I have not installed it, did the tech from my service provider. He seemed brand new. I have no way to update its firmware (whatever it is).

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have solved my problem after reading this thread. http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/Photosmart-plus-B209a-won-t-connect-to-wireless-router/m-p/177144#M7026

  • How change HP Photosmart B209a default scanning, such as changing .jpg at the exit of the .png file?

Since upgrading my all-in-one HP Photosmart B209a, I can't find any more a link to the dialog box used to change things like .jpg .png output files, or the folder in which the Photosmart stores.  How to make these changes now?

are noffkehw, you referring when you save scanned images? If Yes can you scan from the printer to the computer or through the software on the computer? If you use software on your computer, then you should be able to designate which files should be saved in format.

If you use the printer to scan to a folder on your computer, you will need to use the printer software to activate several formats for the file to be saved as. This should be under actions to scan in your printing software - normally under the Scan of the computer.

    Let me know!

The driver has been corrupted, corrupt yourself, an incompatibility with daily updates of Microsoft, I do not know what upgrade but here is the solution.

I changed the group from my home network to the public, that the public at home, that the printer was visible on the HP program. So I uninstall all HP programs and use the driversweeper to clean all.

That, I install the complete program with the HP driver as administrator and in compatibility win mode 7 (as I said, I use win7).

    SOLVED by myself.

HP abandons us, I have a high end of my time printer and don't bother HP (it's time laugh you!) HP CARE)

You guys make a driver and programs more accessible Microsoft and compatible! Tha'ts started too much programming at the end as it is, is simply take the best, see for the snippet of microsoft that the discovery of your printer and install, when YOUR programs don't.

  • Photosmart B209 more: how to share a B209a Photosmart Plus between Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers?

I have a Photosmart Plus B209a I used with a pair of Windows 7 laptops. I use the Center (blue icon) HP solutions to interface with it.

I recently bought a HP laptop, Windows 8.1. The Solution Center does not work on it. Printer support site HP says I must uninstall Windows 7 Solution Center (blue icon) and replace it with the version of Windows 8 (gray icon).

This will make my printer works only with the Windows 8.1 machine? I want to print and scan from all my computers without having to uninstall/reinstall the version 7/version 8.1 Support centers.

It is a mixed Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 question. I don't see a way to select two operating systems.

    Hello

You don't need to reinstall all the software on existing machines. You only need to install software and drivers for NEW machines or any old machine after the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 for THIS computer.

    Kind regards.
