HP Blackbird 002-01 b LED wiring

There are a few wires inside the chassis which look like they are going to LED lighting (they are black and white). There is one single white male connector with a female hooked up with graphics that say "PWR SW + /" there are a few other loose females black connectors hanging graphics saying unrelated "HDD LED + / ', ' RES SW + / ', ' PWR LED +", "PWR LED -" and a white connector. Should be plugged in anywhere?

Under the access panel right side to the top of the chassis, there are Board of directors where there is a similar connector plugged. A connector is plugged into a connector pins 2 and below is another 2 pins disconnected.

Any help or wiring connections photos would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello id355, the son you mention are normally connected to the motherboard in the lower right of the motherboard. You should find the very small pins sticking up from the motherboard with the appropriate labels on the motherboard for each pin.

These are that the motherboard and, therefore before control cables, control system.

The led "disk" is the connector for the activity of the hard drive Led on the front of the case.

The "RES" SW is the connector for the reset button located on the front of the case.

The "PWR" led is the connector for the power on led on the front of the case.

The largest other connector is usually the speaker connector. She usually can accept up to four sons, but most often only has two, the ends of the connector.

The label "+/-" indicates the polarity connectors. Since the connectors can be inserted in the pins on the motherboard or orientation, if they are connected with the incorrect polarity, the LED will not turn on.

Even if the polarity is connected incorrectly, the power switch and the reset will work. If the HDD and PWR connectors are defined in the inversion of polarity, just turn the connectors around 180 degrees and they light up should work.

I have to admit that I don't know where not able to find an example of the motherboard of your system, but here is a link to a motherboard that has been reported as being installed in your model .

You can see the small blue, red, orange connectors on this forum in the very low to the left of the screen.

As I mentioned earlier, since I am not familiar with your system, I can't verify that this information is correct, however, if your system has a standard motherboard, and that these cables are not connected correctly, the system does not boot.

Sorry to be so long and hope this helps.

  • Wiring and test of the Blackbird 002 video card fan

    I have a Blackbird 002 I bought directly from J & R.  Intel processor (i5 or i7), Vista 64-bit, dual NVIDIA 9800 GT cards.

    It is a great machine for a few years, but after several sessions with torches recent I recently that I booted up and it entered into VGA mode with an error «could not load graphic drivers» Windows

    I tried a clean install of NVIDIA driver but the same result on reboot; Mode VGA and no NVIDIA display options.

    I think one of the 9800 GT cards is dead.  So I opened the case and noticed the top, main card has been connected to both the power supply and a smaller type of connection, 2 white square pins.  I deleted the SLI connector and the power of these two cards, one of them removed from their slots and put the card back in top housing of the SLI.  I started upward and the machine starts normally - no error only VGA, NVIDIA Control Panel with no SLI option (as expected b/c that the 'bad' card remained uninstalled).

    Unfortunately with the single card installed the fan runs constantly and the card works extremely hot.  This happens without any games or from any application - simply slowed down, the fans run constantly and loudly.

    So I have two questions:

    (1) how determine if one of the fans in the case does not work properly?  I think this may have caused the first card to die and can be the cause of the card to run hot.  Looking for a way to review all case fans, check each working properly and troubleshoot as needed.

    (2) what is the additional connector to the first graphics card - connector 2 pin white square, and how to disconnect?  I have been unable to pull the connector of the card first, so it remains plugged in despite the fact that the card remains out of the slot.  I see a connection open white, small square on the map left, but I am unable to disconnect the dead card.  I think that it may also have something to do with the remaining card run hot, because it can be a power supply fan, that I am not aware.

    I simply into a new map (thinking that the GeForce GTX 570) but I'm afraid that she also only will burn quickly if a case fan is dead or if the connection of the second, smaller remains plugged into dead cards.

    Any feedback is very appreciated.

    two drivers of white pine is for sound hdmi so it is not necessary to be connected and can only be removed the pins on the map. 9800 gt cards run hot and the fan is cheesy on them. eVga precision tool allows you to monitor the time of the video card and adjust the fan speed. It is unlikely that one of the three fans died, but it's pretty easy to check the two top fans of the page and see if they are rotating. the third fan is left of the hard drives, so you'll have to see if this one works by removing some of the hard drive platters and watch. It feeds of cold air in the compartment of vga. You can also check the fan speed in the bios. I'd be surprised if you have a bad case fan. Here are the specs for the fans of the plant:

  • HP Blackbird 002 gaming system restart problem

    Product name: HP Blackbird 002 LCi

    Backbround: Fantastic machine and very expensive.  When I bought it, I learned by HP that there technical support (not necessarily free) for life as long as HP was in business.  Apparently is no longer supported by three HP tech, Shsma, Mankish and Ajfhat.  So here I am.  I upgraded hard drives and the operating system, Vista Ultimate original, Windows 7, Windows 8 over the years.  Works like a charm.

    Problem: I had this problem with the three operating systems.  Whenever there is a power failure or I shut down the computer, the led lights in the case flashes constantly and I'm unable to turn it back on by pressing the power button.  I have to unplug the computer, wait a few moments, plug it back, then press the power button.  Then and then only, not this kick in and start.  Is it the power supply?  Is it the motherboard?  Or is it something more simple, like the battery on the motherboard?

    In addition, the front of the box has two buttons.  The left is the symbol of power.  The right one has a circle with a triangle inside the symbol.  If it's the power supply can someone direct me to where I can buy it?

    Thank you!

    Thank you Dean.  I did what you suggest already, several times, but always the MB connection didn't feed fans.  So, I plugged the CPU fans directly to the PSU.  Also, I went to the bios and removed warning if the CPU fan fail.  The system is currently working as if it was brand new.  I will continue to work on the CPU to connect fans directly at the Mo because that's the way it suppose to be.  Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

  • Help! Blackbird 002 - 01b makes horrible noise when starting

    I have a Blackbird 002-01 b with a card mother eVGA 780i NV. When I flip the switch on "on" at the back of the power supply, LED MB internal lights up, but nothing on the front. It will not be powered by the power button, but I have to use the power button on the motherboard. As it starts, there is a strong ongoing high tone that does not stop.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    id355

    Hi id355, glad to hear you are making progress. You can check the cables on the HDD and the DVD player. Make sure that the hard drive is connected to the first port on the motherboard sata and DVD player is connected to the second track, if these are the only drives in your system.

    You must then enter the BIOS and make sure the first boot device is the DVD player and the second boot device is the SATA hard drive...

    If the operating system is installed on the SATA hard drive and it is intact and non-corrupt, and there is no CD or DVD disc in the optical drive, the system should start on the hard disk and the desktop computer.

    I hope this helps.

Go it to battery you settings and switch 'Optimized battery health' to 'Maximum autonomy' and that should do the trick!

  • Will be a pci express 3.0 video card work in my pc with pci express x 16?

    I have a HP Blackbird 002-01 a PC and want to install a video card Nvidia 680 due 1500 cuda GPUS.  Will be the new Nvidia card with a pci express 3.0 design work of bus in my pc with a PCI express x 16 bus?

    Thanks for the info.

    The way I see it is, if I can expect an effect of butterfly-back similar performance for graphics speed, that shouldn't be a problem.  The main reason I am looking at the 680 gtx is due to the 1500 cuda GPU.  I use the Blender 3d graphics program that has the new rendering of engine Cycles that can use the cuda GPU for faster processing.  My current Nvidia gtx 260 has only 200 GPU, for most large number in the 680 should provide a significant increase in render speed.

    Thanks again for you help.

  • Backplane SATA Blackbird of wiring to a new power supply

    I have a rebuilt merle.  In order to get more 12V on a single rail, I had to replace the original ToPower PSU, which was limited to 20 or more.

    Unfortunately, the power of cable plumbing inside basket SATA of the Blackbird is the property of the old PSU.  He expects a plug SATA/IDE 8 pins on the power supply, with the 3.3V line to a particular axis on this takeover.

    All pulling SATA backplane ("BLACKBIRD BACKPLANE REV. 3.0," according to the PCB) my readers to wire directly, however, I noticed several other power on the circuit board connectors: two IDE-style 4-pole, with a SATA type. Neither has been connected in the original system, the original power cable after running a non standard Molex 10-pin on the map.  Some or all of these connectors would be enough to power backplane?  If so, what are their pinout?  Standard version?

    Thanks for all the advice offered.

    2 x 4 pin molex are fine. standard.

    Hello

    After replacement of the HDD in the Satellite U940-100 and the installation of win 7 Prof 64 b the wired lan device is not detected. According to the documentation, there should be a 'Fast Ethernet LAN' in the U940.

    On the Toshiba support site, there is a Realtek driver available, but no luck. During installation a message appears: Realtek network controller was not found. The network cable is plugged in, but no led indicator. On the router the giga bit led will blink.

    There is no unknown device left in the 'management of the computer--> device manager'.

    Went LAN so where? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    And what is stated in the network adapters? Realtek network card is listed there?
    This is really strange.

  • Wiring question: PXI-2501 1 wire 48 x 1

    Dear friends,

    I need wiring help.   I have a setup of the PXI-2501 for 1 wire 48 x 1 with a block of connection TB-2065.   I have an analog signal entering the block I want to switch between 5 different LEDs.   The incoming analog signal has two sons (positive & GND), and my Bank of LEDS has 6 wires (5 separate positive & a shared GND).   I have reviewed the documentation section 'NI Switches Help' 'topology, NI PXI-2501/2503 1fil 48 × 1 Multiplexer', but he has not quite figured it.   Can I connect my two ground wires and then connect the rest like this?

    analog input

    + 1-> the Terminal 27

    output LED Bank

    + 1-> terminal 67

    + 2-> 66 terminal

    + 3-> terminal 65

    + 4-> terminal 64

    + 5-> terminal 65

    Also, should I be connecting GND wires on the block somewhere instead of themselves?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thank you

    Zach Barnett

    Hello Zach,

    Try to move the analog input + 61 terminal connection.  You can a) connect your two ground wires or b) can connect the ground wires to the TB-2605 terminal block.

    The image below shows the resulting configuration if you connect the wires to the Earth to the terminal block:

  • 400 pro G1 MT: pinout header MS-7860 map mother PB/LED (P5)

    Anyone know where I can get the pinout for the 10 pins header called "PB/del" labeled P5 (connector) on the MS-7860 Ver 1.2. (400 pro G1 MT)? I saw manuals which avoid the connector. Note that the PIN "missing or key" is exactly in the middle (PIN #6).

    I've seen many diagrams with the key or missing pins at one end. This isn't my Board of Directors. This is where the cable with the power switch (not to be confused with power) meets the motherboard.

    I replace a failed motherboard (three months out of warranty new with no physical signs of damage) with an ASRock H97M Pro4. I have had each other perfectly cable connector. The only one I'll have to "convert" is P5 (on the very outside edge of the angle of the SATA port). Thank you for your help.

    Just pinned it out (the hard way). For anyone else who might have this motherboard. Here are the correct pinout:

    (1) HDD LED + (3) HDD-LED (5) PWR switch (7) PWR switch (9) n/c

    (2) power LED + (4) Power LED - (6) vacuum (8) jump (10) jump

    \________/

    n/c    (has a hole with No wire)

    vacuum  (a coveredhole)  The key, so you can't plug it wrongly.

    Caveat!  Pins 8 and 10 are a rider or 'short death' (perhaps a 'case' of bypassed self-protection?)

    I recommend that cut you the rider that it will not likely be necessary on your generic replacement motherboard!

    Colors (may vary)

    Drive HARD + LED (1) is (Green) power LED + (2) = (Red) disc HARD - LED (3) is (white)

    Power LED-(4) = switch (5,7) (Black) power = (the two white) jumper to cut (8,10) = (Black)

    The two "Power LED" (white) are interchangeable but LED HDD - (white) is not so be careful here

    and the jumper to cut (deleted) is Black and should not be confused with the Power LED-

    I apologize if I gave too much info here, but it might be useful for a novice in computer wiring...
