HP C4580 cannot print - connected usb or wireless

I have a photosmart c4580. When I first got the Wireless does not work, but it worked very well hung usb. Finally hanging it slowly stopped working. Print jobs go in "printing" but the printer is never the work and nothing won't print, unless I want to unplug the printer, plug it in again. Now even that does not work, so zero impression continues anyway. I literally spent hours scouring posts on this forum to try to fix it and no luck. I did everything I could to go into my router settings and messing around with it, uninstall - relocation of 100s of times. No luck. I don't care even wirelessly right now I want to just be able to print with a cable. Any help?

What operating system?  You have disabled your security system to see if it's getting in the way?

  • HP Photosmart C4580 cannot find network Verizon FIOS wireless

I already had my C4580 connected to my wireless network and then I moved and now I have Verizon FIOS and can not get the printer connected wireless!  It connects via USB, no problem.

Any help is appreciated, I spent 6-8 hours trying to solve the problems without result... :-(

    Facts to consider:

    Router:

    Verizon FIOS network

    MI424WR router model

    WPA

    No Mac filtering

    Printer:

    Wireless Network Test report

    Wireless On = PASS

    Work wireless = PASS

Found the network (SSID) name = FAIL

    Security = PASS

    Networks detected wireless = 4

    Computer:

    ThinkPad x 201

    Windows 7 64 bit

I tried to download and install the HP printing software that I found when searching support and each time it fails with a fatal error, uninstall the software and restart my laptop.  I turned off as much security as I can and retried (6-8 x) same error every time.

I think I need to run a wireless network on the printer config, but may not know how to do that when I can't download the software?

Please help, I am running out of patience.  I realize, it could be the router config, but I thought I would start here.

    Thank you

I was able to solve the problem using my wife's computer to run the HP software, change the network settings on the printer.

The main problem was that I couldn't install the software on my cell phone company (Cisco) to correctly configure the printer.  They must have controls in place that software HP must and cannot get the installation.

  • Problems when printing with USB or wireless - offline message

    Hello world

I use a HP ENVY 4500 with a laptop Acer Aspire laptop and a desktop computer HP Pavilion 500, both with an Intel i7 and Windows 8.1. Initially, I configured the printer to work with both PCs wireless. The wireless network is provided by the modem of my provider (Telenet), so it is not very strong I increased it with Devolo powerline adapters. Print is fine, only when I want to print more pages then 3 print job is stopped in the middle of page 4. I get a message that the printer could not print the document, and the page comes out half print. I connected my printer with a USB cable and configured to work with USB, but also wireless. But that Don t always works, today, I tried to print a document from Mozilla Firefox and it would not start. The printer can be used on both sides without choosing the connection?  Also I get the message that the printer is offline and cannot print the document, even if it's actually printing.

When I open the doctor print & scanning everything seems to be ok wth the printer, no defects are detected. Wrong me?

  • Cannot print/connection of Windows 7 for shared PSC 1315 on the XP Machine

I have a HP PSC 1315, connected to a computer running Windows XP (32 bit).  This printer is shared.  I can access it from other XP machines on my home network.  I can't access it from my computer Windows 7 (64-bit).  I can see the printer is shared on the computer, but when I double click on it, I get the following error:

"Windows can't find a driver for hp PSC 1310 series on the network."  To locate one manually, click on OK.  Otherwise, click Cancel and consult your network administrator or the printer manufacturer's Web site. »

Then I tried to download the driver Windows 7 (64 bit) of HP and installed on my Windows 7 machine:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Al-75052-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=CA&...

At the end of the installation, it asks to connect the printer to the computer via USB.  Because I'm not physically the printer connected to the Windows 7 computer, I check the box that says I can't login now and go forward at the end.

Then I tried to connect to the printer and I get the same error.  I try to locate a driver manually.  I point to c:\windows\inf\ without success (I am * if * the driver info might settle there, but I don't know what the name of .inf).  Windows says that it cannot find an appropriate driver.  Maybe I should be looking elsewhere?

I found some troubleshooters on the HP website, but it does not give "shared printer on a network" as one of the schemes to solve connection problems.

I'm a little confused on this one.  Hoping that there will be something simple, I missed.

    Thank you!

Here's a good explanation of how to share a printer from an XP PC to Windows 7 PC on a network home.  It should work since Windows 7 (64-bit) PC can see the partition Windows XP 32-bit.  What you missed was the type of port to use for the network connection.

  • HPC8180 printer connects to the wireless network, after upgrade firmware to the router wireless

My HPC8180 has been wireless since I bought it some time ago.  I recently had to upgrade the firmware on my router wireless of Netcom NB9W and since then my HP will not solve for the wireless network.

I run the wizzard of wireless network on the printer, select the correct SSID and enter the WEP key according to the instructions.

    It will then not connect.

Print the summary I have says that it passes all except:

    No filtering = Fail

    Connected = do not run

Signal strength = very weak (which is strange because it is about 10 feet away from wireless router).

Other networks detected matching your network name (SSID) = No.

    Summary says:

    Network Name (SSID) altnet (correct)

    Address IP = not applicable

    Configuration source = not applicable

    Communication mode = Infrastructure

    Authentication type = open system

    = 64-bit WEP encryption

I have NOT activated the mac address filtering

    Any ideas?

Your router appears to be a DSL modem-router.  Those who can be difficult to connect to.  In addition, WEP can be problematic and is no longer a measure of security.  WEP can be broken in 10 minutes approximately with the freeware on the internet.

    We will do three things:

    1. replace the WPA or WPA2 encryption.  You can make your own password.  Do 13 or more characters, numbers and uppercase and lowercase letters.

2 reset the default settings on your printer network (configuration > network area).

    3. attach to the router in this way:

Sometimes the DSL providers have more control over the router like the printer.

-Unplug the phone line from the router
-Cut the power to the router, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the power.
-Go through the normal process of the printer connected to the device (wireless configuration wizard)
-Now to find the IP address of the printer (it should be on the self-test printout), type it in a browser.
-On this screen, you will find a tab management network, then on the left wireless, then the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address).
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Let the white gateway and DNS
-Finally, connect the telephone line, restart the router and the test.

Thank you for your response. Yes, my printer - HP6110. • HP 6500 E709n cannot print from Windows 7 wireless

I have 3 computers on my office network at home and a HP 6500 E709n with a wireless connection to the router. The printer does everything it's supposed to the XP machine. On the 2 computers running Windows 7, the printer will scan and fax but not print.

When I used the USB cable to connect the printer to a Windows 7 computer, the functions worked well. So, apparently, is not just a matter of having the right driver (and I now reinstalled Windows 7 driver twice after my hard disk cleanup at best). I've checked absolutely everything, and all the recognitions seems to work going both ways. But whenever I try to send a document to the printer to Windows 7, it just sits in the queue.

Other users have this problem? Is that what someone has solved? Thank you.

    Hello

Try to remove the printer and then add it again by opening the Preferences tab and then selecting «printers & scanners»

From there, click on the sign less under the printer icon to remove the printer and then add again using the sign.

This may help to solve your problem of connectivity.

  • Printer connected to 2 wireless networks?

A printer wireless HP 6500 E710n-z can be configured to use more than one Wi - Fi?  We have a main internet connection, but sometimes we need to use an access point to the top.  The printer seems to be associated with a wireless network, and we are unable to print if you use the HotSpot.   I'm trying to do something of that printer is not capable?

Answer is simple, the more than 6500 printer can do that.  The data sheet contains a wireless network.

    http://www.HP.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2010/InnovationSummit/6500A_Plus_eAIO.PDF

A more complex answer is that wireless modules and printer drivers were made to support wireless at the same time.  Most wireless, until recently, were made in support of a Wi - Fi connection at a time.  This is the case for most laptops and desktop computers as well.  HP has wireless in some of its printers who may have a client and a server (behaves an access point) at the same time.  I don't see this feature on the 6500 has more.

Another comment - the printer doesn't have a function autoswitch like most of phones and computers.  He remembers only the current wireless network to which it is connected.

  • HP Photosmart C4580 - cannot print two-sided, w / color, & don't scan on my Mac.

Hello! I have a HP Photosmart C4580 and just got a Mac. Number of issues,

    (1) after that I finally found the duplex printing option for my powerpoint documents it wouldn't let me not and was gray/gray. I had to change the printer driver to something else to chance, and click on allow "duplex" (tried to do some research). Then when it let me print duplex he'd let me not print in color!

    (2) when I go to HP Scan Pro to try to scan something it says "error, sorry, scanner could not be initialized. Scanner not found. "My printer is on and can print documents, and my software is up to date. So a little confused.

    Hello

Please specify which version of Mac OS you have.

to locate the inform, the Apple icon and click on about this Mac - OS version is displayed on this screen.

    How to set your printer?

Using the CD, download it from the Web or simply connect to your mac and adding the pritner?

As C4580 model State enterprises does not have automatic duplex unit unit 2 faces, the duplex option should be faded out.

In order to manually, double-sided printing, open the print dialog box and click the 3rd selection box (Copies & Pages)

    Now select Paper Handaling

Set the page to print in the form strange only and do printing.

Now place the printed pages facing up and perform additional characters, while fixing pages to print mode only

Now select paper Type/quality (the same menu to select paper handaling)

Devote the Color Options by clicking on the arrow to the left to her.

Make sure that it is set as ColorSmart/sRGB.

On the issue of the analysis, please let me know the version of Mac OS that the HP Scan Pro is designed for older versions of Mac OS, while that for Mac OS 10.6 and above all the appropriate software contains the HP scanning software

  • Printing via USB and wireless error

Hi my printer is a HP deskjet 3050 a printer all-in-one.

He stopped to communicate with the computers in the House when we had questions related to internet. LLA modem has been reset.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled the printer drivers and I can send the documents to the correct printer from the desktop and the laptop, and then I get a print error message. When I click to see what's printing, the document is listed in the queue, but it shows a document with three circles on it rather than on a Word Document.

What happens on both computers and connected printing and wireless.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hey @soleruler,

If the printer only displays in the list programs and features on your Windows 8.1 systems indicates that generally your Deskjet 3050 has e-all-in-one printer was probably not installed correctly in the first place. You can certainly use the option "Remove hardware" under "Devices and printers" on these 3 computers to remove old copies of the printer. Just make sure that when you go to remove the unit there is no print jobs stuck in the queue. Print jobs stuck in the queue will cause the printer go into a status of "withdrawal" but the Deskjet printer will not erase until jobs are deleted. To check the queue just right click on the printer under devices and printers, and left click on 'see what's printing. If something is in the box, then just right-click on it and 'Cancel' jobs. Once cancelled, then you can proceed with the option "remove hardware".

Let me know how these steps go for you. Good luck!
