HP DeskJet 1510 noise/hiss sound power adapter

Hello HP,.

A few days ago, I bought the HP DeskJet 1510. Now, a few days later, the adapter began to make this static noise or wheezing. I tried different outlets, switched, but it is a persistent problem.

Fortunately, I can return the printer and ask for a replacement in case there is no solution.

Greetings,

Serenthyr

  • Qosmio X 870: noise hissing sound when you use it with adapter

    Hello

my laptop makes strange noises when _the battery is fully charged and the power adapter is plugged_ (which is in fact the standard most of the time).

Someone else has already registered that noise in a different thread:

First of all, I think it's the Geforce graphics adapter since the sound changes whenever I scroll upwards or downwards. But he disappers when I unplug the power cord.

Is no doubt has something to do with the energy of the oder CPU management any component?

    You have an idea?

    > But it disappears when I unplug the power cord.

I think you should first check if the same noise would be always available with a different AC adapter.
It is possible that this sound appears due to the defective power adapter

I have no idea why the adapter makes this rattling but this does not sound good.
You must use a compatible car for laptop AC adapter since bad car adapter may damage the laptop.
Recommended to contact a Toshiba service point in your country to get a right part.
You can also check some independent dealers online to order this part.

  • HP Deskjet 1510 all in one - all I have to do before I connect the power?

I just got the HP Deskjet 1510 all in one.  Is there something I need to do before you connect the power?  In the past with certain printers, which was a problem - some things you had to do before connecting the power supply or by using the installation CD. The instructions that came with it are not very clear or complete.

    Hello trainerjim22,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking for the installation of the new 1510 Deksjet and wonder if the thing needs to be done before connecting the power supply. You do not want to remove any packaging, adhesive tape, etc.

You would be able to consult this guide to support to ensure you are not missing anything: printer (Hardware) setting.

    I hope this has helped.

  • Satellite Pro L300: Your power adapter also do this?

When I move my laptop to an outlet AC (alternating current) I do this, by Manuel Toshiba:

    1. connect the adapter to the laptop

    2. plug the adapter cable ca outlet

The plug is in my hand and when I insert it in making that a spark is generated and a sounding snap sound.

    Is this normal?

    Hi Michael

This certainly isn't normal behavior of AC adapter!
I imagine that a cable is broken, and this is why you hear a strange noise

I recommend you contact the ASP (certified partner) in your country as soon as possible.

  • His acute appears when the power adapter is plugged into satellite

    Hello

My laptop is four days old, but when I use it and the power adapter is connected and provide electricity, a steep, low sound volume is issued from the fan area. When I remove the adapter it disappears usually, but sometimes intermittently returns in the form of a stuttering occasional, typically when I use many processor programs.

I also noticed that, if the sound is not present and yet I increase the brightness of the screen in the properties of the TOSHIBA power saver, he'll be back with a vengeance. In addition, the power supply makes the same buzz, but at least I can sit several feet from it.

Can someone therefore please tell me if this buzz / your electronic is normal, or if there is something I can do to prevent it being issued?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

I think you should contact your dealer / ASP with this problem. It seems to me that there is some sort of component inside the PC that generates this noise when the processor speed is high.
Also if the power adapter is buzzing, you must show this to them as well.

It does not seem right that the unit should behave like that.

  • Photosmart C309a does not illuminate and its power adapter 0957-2259 LED flashes.

I have a Photosmart all-in-in-one C309a.  A few days ago I started to receive messages from the ink system dailure, with the 0xc19a003e code.  I followed it to corresponding to a unit of printhead failed, so I ordered a replacement parts HP UK store on Friday, October 14, and it came today, Monday the 17th. Great rotation of the order of HP UK - thank you.

When I came to adapt to the new print head today, the printer does not illuminate.  No sign of the power of the power button, the buttons command or display.  The power adapter (model number 0957-2259) has a green LED which was (and still is) very quickly - flashing several times per second.  After that the power had been in the power adapter for a while (several tens of minutes I think, I wasn't timing it) noise started coming from the inside of the printer.  It is a kind of regular knocking and seems to echo the led blinks - but there was still no sign of power - including no movement of the ink/printhead assembly.

I tried to find suggestions online and I've seen a few posts on some websites that suggest that the adapter can be unloaded in some way - but they are almost exclusively on the PC.  Posts read as if there is some kind of capacitor which accumulates (too) charge and discharge it restores the adapter to the operating state.

I just reconnected the power again to see if there is no change.  After about 10 minutes, hit him coming back for a few moments then stopped.  I noticed that the LED on the AC Adpater was green fixed so I tried the power switch on the printer and it began to start.  But then hit him came back, the display panel started flashing white light and then complete disappearance of signs of life (other than sound knocking, which became intermittent, maybe 5-15 seconds each time).  The LEDs returned to.

And then after maybe 20-30 minutes with the power, the printer finally tried to start, the light of the AC adapter / CC has been stable and my computer thought that the printer was (briefly) online.

But the adapter light started blinking and now the printer behaves as if it has no power.

It seems to me that the symptoms is due to a problem with the AC adapter.  Then

    (A) that seems reasonable?

    (B) is there a way to release or otherwise 'fixing' the adapter?

or (C) is it better/more safe to replace the adapter?

    TIA,

    Chris

The adapter can be reset as described here.

  • Satellite A300 may depend on from when the power adapter plugged

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite A300 when the laptop is connected to the power adapter I have no possibility to turn it on, it's only 2-3 seconds once it comes down.
When Toshiba is enabled with the battery power and I tried to connect the adapter it also goes down.
I have no problem with the charge itself, but only with working with AC adapter.

Please help me what can I do with this problem, does anyone has similar problem?

    Hello!

For me it sounds like a hardware failure of the motherboard if the AC/DC adapter is plugged and the laptop is turned on

I don't know but how best to m would be if you go to the authorized service provider nearest with the AC/DC adapter. Technicians can check your laptop and swap the motherboard if it of really necessary. The guys are very friendly and helpful!

  • Defective power adapter?

I've had my laptop for a year or so now, working fine until recently. I noticed that my adapter has begun to make a sort of pulsating squeal noise, now it does not power the laptop at all, no lights, nothing. All I get is an annoying squeal.

I unplugged the laptop to see if it was the power adapter or the laptop and he continued to scream so I can exclude the laptop. Is this to say that I need a new adapter or could the card be defective? I tried different outlets with the same result.

Has anyone else had these issues?
    Any help is appreciated,

    See you soon

    Ray

    > I noticed that my adapter has begun to make a sort of pulsating squeal noise, now it does not power the laptop at all, no lights, nothing. All I get is an annoying squeal.

Maybe the power adapter is dead and you need a new.
But understand that it very difficult to tell exactly what evil without any control of the laptop
In any case try to plug a compatible AC adapter and check if the laptop turns on.

    Good luck

    Hi @Horacio_B,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your installation problem.

I would like to start by disconnecting the USB cable and uninstall all software related to printers. Here is a support document which can be used if necessary reference - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

  • Why is my laptop takes long to connect and made a hissing sound and a flashing light on my caps button

My computer is to take some time to connect and there is a hissing sound with flashing button caps

    [Moved from comments]

When a computer makes sounds, it usually means a hardware problem.  The noise could be a fan, an optical drive, trying to turn or any number of other things.  Without actually hear it, who can tell?

If you have a keyboard lighted, flashing can also have several causes.  You can be a normal self test that passes when the PC starts.  Only you can know that, given that you have and see it boot regularly.  If it is past or did he just started at some point?  If she just started, what has changed on your PC just before this?

Regarding the newspaper slow process, maybe you have many programs in your startup process.  Once logged in, look in the startup folder (Start > all programs > startup, according to your version of Windows, which you decided to keep it a secret) to see how many programs you had added, and remove those that you don't need running whenever the PC starts.  You can also use the "msconfig" program to watch your Startup registry entries, but unless you acknowledge what they mean and are comfortable editing the registry, control the start-up of this way is compex probably more than you want to address.

  • DeskJet 1510 don't copy best documents come out very dark black allmost

Just set up printer but copy documents results in almost total darkness

    Hello

I understand that you encounter some problems using the copy function on your printer Deskjet 1510. I'm sorry to hear you had problems, but I'll do my best to help you.

First and foremost, I would make sure that the device is connected directly to a wall outlet as opposed to a surge protector or a power bar (this document explains just why the wall jack is preferable). If you need to pass the power source, make sure you unplug the power cord at the back of the printer as well. If after that the power is in a wall what is the same thing, I'll let you try a few other things.

Please make sure that there is no film on the glass when you bought, that these things can often be overlooked in the excitement of using the new printer if the movie is already deleted, also make sure that the cover is fully closed when you perform the copy so that the external lights are not interfering with your copy/scanner.

Finally, could you do a scan, as suggested by Simple1234 ? If so, what was the result?

I hope that these measures have helped, let me know if they have not well!

  • Unable to determine the type of AC power adapter. Dell Inspiron 1545.

    Hi all

Just recently I started receiving the error message bad "cannot determine the type of AC power adapter. Your system will run more slowly and the battery won't charge. "Please connect a Dell 65W adapter or higher for a better functioning of the system.

I've had my dell inspiron 1545 since 2009. I had to replace my battery once because I kept getting an error message. The error message above, I have been doing hard for about a week now. I had read that push the cord into the laptop could work. I know it sounds stupid, but I actually tried and for some time the adapter started to charge my battery again. But whenever I turn off my laptop I have to re connect the adapter because I get this error again. About 2 days ago, I tried my usual method of shoving the cord, but now the method does not work and my battery fell to 18%. I must say that I always keep my plugged power cord because my battery never lasted more than an hour before.  It seems that my card still works when I plug it into the wall of blue light still appears. When I plug it into the laptop computer, the icon appears that it is plugged in and the display becomes brighter. I am also able to remove my battery and work on my laptop as long as the AC adapter is plugged. I'm really afraid that this problem is related to the motherboard.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

First thing to try is a new Dell AC adapter - if this doesn't fix the problem, replace the power supply (see link below).  And in the unlikely event, he is not taking or adapter, the motherboard needs to be replaced.
