• When scanning, the ADP does not work on my HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer

  Ok.  This is my second time to enter in this.  I have an ADF and have tried SEVERAL times to scan but my scanner WILL NOT use the ADF.  I chkd information available on this forum but nothing I've tried has worked.  It is "operator error" or "hardware error"?  I tried to use this feature because I bought the printer and it never worked.   I just bought the HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-one printer-J611g a. The manual has shown to do the printer double-sided printing odd pages then only print even pages only, and it works very well for one page on one side of the sheet. However, when I want to print two pages on one side of the paper and another of two pages on another aspect of the sheet, print the odd pages or even pages only just does not work! Ditto to print more than one PowerPoint presentation on one side of the page, if I click on print the odd pages only, then the printer will display the odd number of powerpoint slide instead of print odd number. I used to have another printer HP Officejet and never had any problems with two-sided printing. This printer comes with the function double-sided printeing at all?  If so, how can I do duplex printing?

  This is a limitation of the software that you use and how the HP printers recognize the incoming files. When compress you multiple pages on a single "page" this page is actually two pages, with even and odd numbers. It is therefore difficult for the software to determine the page numbers 'odd' and 'even' when printing, because it is no longer applicable to the relevant pages, but the format in which they are being printed.

  I read on how your prints and scans are now completely black when you use your Officejet 8500 printer and wanted to drop to help. Try the steps and answer all the following questions please and responds with the result, and we can go from there if necessary.

  Reset the printer and make sure it is plugged directly into a wall jack, avoiding the power and surge protectors toolbars:

  With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
  If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  1. How the printer is connected (USB / wireless / wired / Bluetooth)?
  2. Did you test functionality of the hardware (made copies) and they work successfully?
  3. Have you tried printing from different programs?
  4. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the software?
  5. Run the print and Scan Doctor and understand the results.
  6. Have you made recent changes to your establishment (moving, upgrade, downgrade, new software, new router, etc.)?
  7. Have you tried using a different USB/Ethernet cable?
  8. You see messages of error codes and if so, what they say and where do you see them?

  Scan and copy are two different functions: to the scan function, you can save scanned images/files to your computer and to copy funtion, it copies and gives you on the discharge papers. Back to your question: Yes, it can create and save files to your computer using the scan function.

  When trying to install the full feature software & driver I confronted with the following problems:

  1. I downloaded the driver & software above ok
  2. The Installer started extraction done ok and ok
  3. When I'm the appear 'Select install to begin installing new device HP' and click 'Install', I received the message "system cannot find the file specified."
  4. When I tried the troubleshooting described in http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04206080; searching for a file hpoins*.dat or hpwins*.dat, the file %windir%\System32 where not found!

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

  Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

  If the problem persists, continue following the steps below:

  2. open the dialog box run by clicking on the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir%, and then click OK.
  3. type hpoins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
  4. type hpwins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
  5. start the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /Unregister. in the Run dialog box and click OK.
  6. launch the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER in the Run dialog box and click OK.
  7. run the installation file and check all difference.

  My network consists of two computers, Windows 7, 64-bit and Windows XP Home edition and the printer. Talking about Windows 7 with the printer and the internet. Speak it XP with internet, but NOT the printer. Messages enter the queue and stay.  Computers must must be synchronized with the network by pressing a button on the router.   I'm no expert, but I'll try

  In your network and sharing Center (Control Panel > network and sharing Center > edit Advanced settings) check whether you have the file and printer sharing. Are two computers in the same workgroup? (Conttol Panel > system > properties) Mine are both set for the WORKING group. Note to set up between an XP system and Win7 you can not use the homegroup settings, you must set a home or work network (home is preferable).  If you have not configured it, I can help with that too, I spent many a harrowing, trying to get mine to work.  What type of firewall do you use (that is to say the I have Norton 360 and Internet Security and use their firewalls, (another issue)).

  I just installed a new black cartridge of hp 564xl with an expiry date of 30/01/2017. Low and behold the black is not printing and the printer was bought in 08/2012. I did everything what was proposed in the support forums and nothing helps nothing worked. The three other colors print fine except the black. Based on the responses of everyone I guess that there is no compensation for her and I should scrap this device after three years of constant use.   We have a Deskjet 3050 j610a (all-in-One printer), which has recently started to display error code 620060E0. This happens when a wireless print job is sent to the DJ3050 by a Windows laptop or a Kindle. The problem seems to disappear briefly whenever I turn off / printer and we send the printjob. Then the print job seems to print Ok, but the 620060E0 error code seems to reappear in the next a few print jobs. What does error code 620060E0 for and how to prevent this DJ3050 of print jobs stop and later have to be resubmitted? Our HP DJ3050 diet bad?   It is strange that HP has never answered and did not display of error codes for simple problems like this for the benefit of other users of their products. Turn the printer on/off/as suggested does not solve the problem. This simple problem requires no expensive 3rd computer service. The problem was solved only when I noticed black in the accumulation on the ink cartridge close contacts computer & replace the cartridge. The printer now works fine.
