HP Deskjet advantage 3835: scanning paper of legal size by using HP 3835

Hello

I am to buy HP DeskJet advantage 3835.

It is possible to scan legal size paper / Folio is using this printer, especially using the ADF?

Thank you.

Hello

Printer scanner supports a legal paper from the ADF, the size can be selected by the HP scanning software.

You can find the sheet of paper output > supported paper sizes section below as a reference, legal size is supported by ADF top of the page:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-ink-advantage-3830-all-in-one-printer-series/7172328/model/7172329/document/c04655393/

It is not supported on the glass flat, its size is limited to the letter / A4 size.

Kind regards

Shlomi

How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper? He cut scanning letter-size, but the specifications say it will scan the legal size.

    Hello

The analysis of parameters need to be changed to HP Scan App. launch of the HP scan application from your computer and select the option left (PDF or JPEG...) and then choose the size of legal scan on the right.

    Save and close the application.

Now you can scan in legal.

    Note:

You can also create your own settings for scanning HP scanning parameters.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 does not scan full page legal-size

I have seen this question several times in these forums, but solutions do not apply to me - I can not find the applications or the settings or patches do not resolve the problem. I am running Windows 8 32-bit with a HP Officejet Pro 8600. When you scan a legal size document, the entire page is not scan, even when I select a custom size. The bottom is cut roughly where a letter size page would end.

If you respond with a solution, please be very specific, i.e. If you say "Control Panel", you mean the control panel of Windows 8 or the small touch screen of the printer itself? If you want "pull me up to the HP application", please say that the we - there are several installed on this computer, and I've tried them all.

    Thanks in advance...

In fact, the problem was located. I is broke and finally called HP support. It turns out that, contrary to the information that I have seen elsewhere, legal size paper MUST be analysed the ADF, not the dish. You can see a white band across the plateau where the search starts. The dish is physically unable to accommodate legal communication. Once the original is loaded in the ADF, the size of the document options now include legal communication.

  • OfficeJet x476dw: officejet pro x476dw legal size paper adf scan

    Hello

I've been using officejet pro x476dw for 6 months, and I realized that I can't scan legal size paper 2 sides.

It is impossible to scan legal-size documents 2 faces on ADF?

    I need to scan MANUALLY?

If this machine supports 2-side of legal paper scan, are there other ways to facilitate this work?

I often scan more than 40 pages with 2 faces legal paper...

    Please help me experts... TT

I heard, Canon and Ricoh offer some disc to make it possible to use software...

HP offers this kind of software too?... TT

    Hello

Sorry to inform that x476dw model only support scanning two-sided (2 sides) up to letter size but it support simplex (1 side), scanning up to legal size.

I suggest you to analyze manually with the help of flat, if you have only a few pages. But as you mentioned above, you often need to scan > 40pgs double face of legal papers. One way is to digitize the odd pages and even pages separately and try to use 3rd party app for example Pdfsam (www.pdfsam.org), basic version is open source (free to use) to merge the 2 files into 1.

    1. Load your stack of documents by normal with the first pages (pg 1, 3... 39) facing upward on the Doc feeder, ADF
    2. Analyze the stack of papers in pdf & registered as 1 file
    3. Flip & organize your stack of papers since the last GP from (pg 40, 38, 2) meet in AAD
    4. Analyze the stack of papers in pdf & registered as 2nd file
    5. Start of Pdfsam - use the "Different mix" standard Plugin to merge the 2 scans
    6. First select 1 file by the 2nd file tracking
    7. Select 'Destination output file' and 'Run' to merge to a full "duplex" scanned PDF.

Refer to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZf50gRzDho for example on the use of Pdfsam

    Hello Sharon,

I suggest to try to change the settings of your printer properties and change it to legal and check if it works for you.

  • no option of legal size in officejet 8600

    Hi people,

My Officejet Pro 8600 Plus does not show an option for print legal size paper in the settings window. He concluded "Automatic" watch and otherswhich are not legal.

By selecting the "Automatic" option, it only prints the format letter from the bed of glass or the status bar.

    I am using Windows 7, 64-bit.

What can I do copy of legal size documents?

HP support has solved my problem.

Country setting must be defined in the USA. If it is set in Mexico City, no paper of legal size option is available for this region. Can't understand why.

  • Copy of Documents of legal size on HP Officejet PRo 8600 Premium

"When I try to copy a legal-size paper (8 1/2"x 14") my 8600 copy only the first 11" document, even if I have paper of legal size in the status bar.  It doesn't matter if I use the dish or the document feeder.  When I go to 'Settings', 'Resize', it has no option to tell the 8600 as the original is of legal size paper in the tray is the legal size.  Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

The answer is Yes, missed me a setting.  Found the answer elsewhere on this forum, even if I had been previously.  In any case, the setting was found on the control panel by selecting copy, settings and, above all, pressed the arrow down button on the screen to find (drum roll, please) the paper size setting.  I was not somehow, because you can scroll down for more options.  I hope this post helps others who have encountered the same difficulty.

  • I have a doc of legal size which allows to print only in letter format. Help!

I created a form fillable 8.5x14 (legal size) when I sent a colleague to be tested by default to print the format letter (8.5x11). I've attached a screenshot of my setup. I've changed the layout to legal size, but when I send to my colleague, he is always failing in letter format.

It didn't happen for me in the previous version of acrobat so I wonder where the settings are to correct this problem.

I'm on a mac under acrobat pro DC. It is on a PC, almost everyone otherwise access the form on our intranet using a PC.Screen Shot 2016-06-22 at 11.42.13 AM.png

Not much you can do about it. By default, Reader and Acrobat dimensionnera the page to fit the current paper size selected for the default printer current. If the printer of the recipient is not available to legal size paper or the printer supports paper of legal size, but this isn't the default paper tray, the behavior you're seeing is expected. There is no way to force a PDF file to print on a specific page size.

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1015: a4 paper print problem

    Hello!

I have a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1015. The problem is that when I print using A4 size paper, printing (text/image) will be resized to fit in a size letter paper. But if I print on a legal (8.5x14) size or custom size paper (8.5x13), printing will not be reduced.

I don't know what is the issue and I hope that someone can help me since our office uses the format A4.

If I understand correctly the printer prints the customer size and legal size as it should be, but resizes printing A4 to letter size.
Don't worry because I have a few steps to solve this problem.

Although the header can contain a different printer name, the article should solve the problem

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3835: My HP printer Scanner does support the OCR feature?

My HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3835 printer Scanner does support the OCR feature?

Of course, do all scanners. It's the software, not the scanner.

Free OCR software on the web.   Just search.

    FreeOCR

    or

    Free OCR to Word.

    Both work very well.

  • I'm scanning in legal size docs. with my printer/scan/fax. The application of fax scan in windows 7 does not show an option to paper size for legal-size paper.

I have a new HP with Windows 7.  I'm scanning in legal size docs. with my printer/scan/fax.  The application of fax scan in windows 7 does not show an option to paper size for legal-size paper.  I could do this on my old XP computer.  Microsoft forgot add parameters of legal size in this application?

    Hello notnewbee,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

You do not give the model of your printer/scanner/fax machine so I can't direct you to the website of the manufacturer of specifc. However, I would
you go to the website of the manufacturer of your printer and download the latest drivers for Windows 7. Sometimes, if you use a driver that is not intended for your operating system, then your device can operate and install, but some features may not work.

If they do not have an updated driver, then try the compatibility mode for Windows XP and see if your printer will work correctly.
The information below will show you how you can make older programs run on Windows 7 here.

If please reply back and let us know if this helps solve your problem or if you still need help.

  • Not completely scan legal size with Officejet Pro 8600 more Documents

I'm trying to scan legal documents of sizes on my Officejet Pro 8600 Plus new. I have gone through the forums, and this has been a recurring problem in the past (see link- http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Scanning-Legal-Size-Documents/m-p/35416#M14...   ), but doesn't seem to be resolved. If I use the document feeder or glass, the paper is cut down and seems to be stopping at the "A4", legal vs. size. I can't find any setting on the scanner itself, or in the HP Utility software to change this, or even to be able to identify the current configuration, if it is a.

I use a Mac Pro, system 10.6.8 just installed and started using the printer a couple of days, and everything is up-to-date software-wise. Everything else on the machine works beautifully.

Thanks for your help - I chose precisely this particular unit on the next model down because of the glass/size bed legal, and if I can't use it to scan legal documents, well, it's a problem. Thanks for your help!
