HP DESKJET F4580 SERIES: HP SOLUTIONS CENTER's works do not anymoe

My printer suddenly disappeared and was not able to print. At the opening of the CENTER of the HP SOLUTIONS, received the message impossible to open the centre of solutions such as the installation is incomplete.

I reinstalled the driver and I am now able to print again in the wireless, but the CENTER of the HP SOLUTIONS still does not work and still get the same message.

When reinstalling the driver, I got several error message indicating a file was not found, but she did not give the name of the file.

Can someone please help me because I use the device fairly regularly to scan documents and at the present time, it does not work.

Thank you.

Hey @gigi1966,

I would like to take a moment to thank you. Thank you for your patience and perseverance. I guess you feel like you've been to the Moon and back with all this troubleshooting!

-We will continue to try to catch a solution

It starts to sound like maybe the problem is related to the registry database. Personally, I don't like to tinker in the registry manually, instead, you can use a registry cleaner. My preference goes to CCleaner.  - How to use CCleaner.

Installing software on the computer with a registry key, its place would be like trying to paint a wall with a hole in it, you need to patch the hole first. Repair the registry, and then reinstall the software. Registry cleaners can be useful tools to solve certain types of problems in the registry, as those that are created when a program does not properly uninstall or a malware infection is not cleaned properly.

This suggestion is not a document of HP, it is my own opinion. My preference is CCleaner, I use it on my computers. If you have a registry cleaner already, or that you prefer, you can use it.

Until we move on an attempt to reinstall the software, we will perform a clean boot too. Instructions below:

  1. Click Start and type msconfig in the search box.
  2. Press enter.
  3. On the general tab, click Selective startup.
  4. Clear the Load Startup items check box.
  5. Click the Services tab.
  6. Select the hide all Microsoft services check box (bottom).
  7. Click disable all.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click restart.

After installing the software, restore your system startup with the following steps:

  1. Click Start and type msconfig in the search box.
  2. Press enter.
  3. On the general tab, select Normal startup.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Yes when asked to restart your computer.

Please let me know how it works.

    Cordially Eject2

    Hi @Eject2,

You're no harm at all, in fact, I appreciate your patience and perseverance, a lot more than you know!

8.1 for Windows is designed to be slightly different from that of Windows 8, it appears the restoration forced you in the upgrade and I didn't know it would be. A I knew, I would have told you it's possible and you could decide whether you want to continue.  I myself 8.1 and like you I enjoyed to have the Windows key in the lower left corner which allowed me to make the navigation easier. I installed what is called the classic interface.

Classic Shell™ is a free software that allows you to improve your productivity, improves the ease of use of Windows and allows you to use the computer as you like it. The main features are:

    • Highly customizable start menu with several styles and skins
    • Quick access to recent programs, frequently used or pinned
    • Find programs, settings, files and documents
    • Start button for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
    • Bar tools and status for Windows Explorer
    • Legend and for Internet Explorer status bar

If you are interested in downloading the classic shell you can do it here: the classic interface.

Just open the link and click on download now! button

You restore the files to the USB key? If so you have no need to keep, you can replace at any time, if you have not restored your files use the document in my previous post for the helpful instructions.

If the Solution Center is now working and you agree that we have solved the initial problem that brought you on the Forums, please click on the accept as Solution on the post that you solved the question identify while I solved the problem, and if others can see your problem is solved!

If you have any other questions or need further clarification on my recommendations made me know. Otherwise, I would like to take a moment to thank you once again. You've been more patient with me and the long instructions than others have. You stayed positive and well spirited and it did not go unnoticed!

  • DeskJet F4580: new router cannot get connection and can not find the whole upward on macbook

I had to get a new router as I have had problems with my fixed internet internet problems but now my printer does not work unless I connect with the usb cable, I have tried everything including the abolition of the printer, which now, I deleted the setting up of information out of my macbook and can not install the printer please help it worked very well with my other router...

    Hey @gingerjean1,

Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see that you have replaced your router and are having trouble with your Deskjet F4580 of connection to the network. I can help you with that.

As you use Macintosh 10.7 I recommend the use of a Windows PC to install the printer on and then to add to your wireless network. If this isn't a practical option there are a number of things we could try.

    Apple Software Update

    1. Click on your Apple icon and go to software updates.
    2. Install the available updates.
    3. Apple's HP printer driversdownload.

If during the installation there is no wireless options then:

    1. Go to your Apple system and print and Scan preferences icon.
    2. Double-click your printer icon on the left side of this screen.
    3. In the pop-up window, click on settings, utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.
    4. In this new window, you must have a wireless tab along the top, that you can click.
    5. On the left side, we are looking for a wireless configuration wizard.
    6. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to add the printer to your wireless network.
    7. Once the printer is connected, disconnect the USB cable to the back of the printer.
    8. Return to the Apple, system, print, and Scan preferences.
    9. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
    10. In this window, select your printer.
    11. If there is a line indicating the use that says Airprint click to select your printer in the list instead.
    12. Click on Add.
    13. Try to print.

    Ad-Hoc

If the method above does not allow you to connect the printer wireless, then it can work.

    1. Perform a factory reset the printer. I will include guidance on how to do so shortly in a private message.
    2. Turn on the printer.
    3. Press the button on the front of the printer wireless.
    4. Wait for about a minute.
    5. On your Mac or another wireless device, you should see a network with a name similar to "HP Deskjet F4500 XX Print" listed. To connect to this network.
    6. Press and hold the scan button (the icon of the printer under the red x on the printer) for 10 seconds. When you release the printer should print a test wireless report.
    7. On the device you connected to the printer, open a web browser and type the IP address in the bar of address exactly as shown on the test report.
    8. You should have a network tab along the top of this window.
    9. On the left side, we are looking for a wireless configuration wizard.
    10. When you run that must connect the printer to your wireless network.
    11. Once the printer is connected, disconnect the USB cable to the back of the printer.
    12. If you have connected your Mac to the printer above and then reconnect the printer to your wireless network now.
    13. Return to the Apple, system, print, and Scan preferences.
    14. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
    15. In this window, select your printer.
    16. If there is a line indicating the use that says Airprint click to select your printer in the list instead.
    17. Click on Add.
    18. Try to print.

If it allows you to connect your printer to your wireless network and then do other forum users know clicking on accept as Solution below my post. Even if you have any other questions please let me know.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a nice day!

  • SOLUTION: Get Win 7 printer drivers/HP Solution Center for work on Windows 8

Took me some time to understand it, but I managed to do the work.

    First of all, the preliminaries:

I have a laptop HP dv9700t running the 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro RTM (not the preview, but I guess it will work as well on the preview).  My printer is a HP Photosmart C7280.  If you have a different printer, it is possible that something similar to how I solved my problem will help you, especially by running your installation in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode files.

Windows 8 is provided with printer C7280 stock drivers that work by going to control panel > printers and devices > add a printer, but there is only limited to those features.  As such, I wanted to run the HP Setup files have increased functionality.

Unfortunately, when I run the full installer of HP for my printer, there was no button 'Install a printer', or one of the other usual buttons.  There was only one button "quit".

Here's how to let him run and install correctly.

Right click on the HP full installation file, then properties > compatibility > then check the box "run this program in compatibility mode for:", select "Windows 7" in the drop-down list box, then click on 'OK'.

Run the installation file as you would normally in Windows 7.

I tried this two ways... first when you're connected via a USB cable.  It works perfectly without error.

I also tried with the printer connected to the network via WiFi.  A few problems.

The installation program detects my printer very well, and I clicked 'Next' or 'OK' or whatever the prompt was to install the printer.  The installation would hang 'Response of SNMP' (or something similar) and it would list the IP address of my printer.  I waited, waited, waited for an hour, and it would not go beyond that.  Not to worry.

Proceed with the normal installation until you get the message 'Response of SNMP' and the installation fails.

Enter with CTRL-ALT-DEL Task Manager.  You will see an entry in the 'Apps' to the installer of HP... DROP.

Below the "Apps" list, you will see the list of "background processes".  In this list is something along the lines of "HP Network Interface user", or something similar, consuming a significant amount of CPU.  Highlight this entry and click "End task" downstairs.

The "SNMP" window closes and your installer will end then normally and your printer/fax/scanner will be installed correctly.  HP Solution Center works normally, like printing, scanning, etc.

The next person who uses that will give a few comments and also answer a few questions for me so I can update this post with more specific information?

Please let me know what is the exact "SNMP" message when the installation is blocked.  Please let me also know that the exact name of the background process "HP Network User Interface" is, and the name of app Installation HP.

I hope this will help you.

Glad to hear that a form any of my solution works for others.

  • HP c6380: HP Solution Center stopped working

HP Solution Center has stopped working. I am able to print, but the function in an analysis center solution no longer works.

I use Windows 7. I can scan if I plug in the USB cable, but not using a wireless connection. Works only for printing. I used HP Scan and printing doctor, but that has not solved the problem.

I've seen a number of positions with various suggestions (install Macromedia Flash Player, reinstall the driver, etc.) that did not work. I would like to hear how others have solved this problem or, better yet, how HP addressed.

Thanks for getting back to me anderswolf! Maybe a level 3 uninstall and reinstall, will help launch the software in speed to operate again on your computer.

Perform a level 3 uninstall if you have an HP computer or a level 4 uninstall if you have a computer not HP.
There are 2 ways you can run levels:

    Of the Original installation CD:
    1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup
    2. open "Computer", and then right click on CD drive and open
    3 open the Util folder
    4 open the CCC folder
    5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe
    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
    7. run the download to reinstall the printer: HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers

If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:
    1. Click Start and type %temp% in the search field and press ENTER to open the Temp folder
    2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)

  • HP deskjet hp Solution Center 1051

I am trying to print envelopes and my printer prints off images on the side. I know not how to solve the problem, but unfortunately so do I need to go to "HP solutions Center" and I have not installed on my computer. I'm running on Windows 7 and that you have installed the full download of features for my printer. How to center of HP solutions now because it did not come with my install?

    Hey,.

These options, if they are available in the driver for the Deskjet 1051, are accessible without having to go through the solution Center.

    • Click the start menu on Windows 7 PC

    • Select the devices and printers

    • Right-click on the Deskjet 1051 installed

    • Select print options

    • Select the paper/quality tab or similar (I don't have this printer available to perform a test installation and view options)

    • Look for an option similar to the one mentioned by Praveen_David custom paper size

If these options are not available in this section, you may need to use another driver with the option for custom paper sizes.  Research on the product specifications page, I found that the printer uses PCL3 GUI for printing language.  This means the Deskjet 9800 driver built-in to Windows Update will be compatible with the Deskjet 1051.  Deskjet 9800 driver has built in custom paper size options.

Click here to access a thread with information on how to exchange for a different driver such as the Deskjet 9800 driver.

Let me know how it goes.
