  • Satellite P10 304 BIOS does not detect HARD and CDROM drive

My HDD p10-304 has recently failed.
I bought a new 60 GB western digital 2.5 drive "and installed today.

At startup, the BIOS does not detect the drive, but also, it does not detect the CD-ROM drive.
This makes me think that maybe it's not the player after all, maybe the onboard IDE / motherboard.

I'm kinda stuck, so it's a new drive should work fine, and I have no way to test the motherboard.

The only difference is that the insulation on the original drive sleeve should be reduced by half.
The bit important (low, where the circuits would otherwise affect metal) is always there, it is the
Few albums I had to remove but that should be no problem.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

When I install the Chicony camera drivers, I get the "Webcam driver open fail. Error message.

The fact that I can't see the Webcam in Device Manager tells me that there may be a hardware failure.
However, I hope that this is a setting that I can fix myself.

I tried to uninstall all the USB controllers and reboot the PC.

Is there something I can do?
    It's maybe a software problem?
    There may be a setting?

Best way to test the operation of the equipment is to check with the factory settings installation operating system with the Toshiba recovery image. As I see that you have done this already.

So if cam still doesn't work properly, I fear that there is a problem with the hardware.
It cannot be matter of software because the recovery image contains the driver for the cam.

  • My computer says webcam not detected

I have a HP computer and I when I try to use the downloaded client webcam with my computer, CyberlinkYouCam, he says that the webcam is not detected. I went into the Device Manager screen to find it under imaging devices, but there is nothing there. I scanned for a new hard drive, downloaded the new software YouCam, but I don't know what else to do. It does not anywhere what the pilot is supposed to be, but I guess it comes to YouCam. I read a lot of questions but nothing says what happens if you can't find what you did driver, or if it does not work. It's a built-in camera.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the query on the Microsoft Community Forums. You have reached the right place. Let us work together to find the cause of this problem and try to solve.

    1. What is the model of the CyberlinkYouCam number?
    2. do you get an error message?

When you install the Microsoft LifeCam software, and then you plug the LifeCam hardware, the LifeCam hardware is not detected. In addition, in Device Manager, the properties for the LifeCam entry display one of the following codes. I suggest you try the steps from the following links and see if that helps.

  • New Pavilion dv7, HP TrueVision HD webcam not detected

Just bought my new Pavilion dv7, and when I run the Cam software, it tells me that my HP TrueVision HD webcam is not detected. I tried this for a few days, at a point when I was trying to play with the settings you Cam, webcam light on for aprox. 2 seconds and then died again, since then, it won't let me even in the settings of YouCam.

Right now I am more and more convinced that it is because of my laptop being assembled outside the United States. Need a fix for it immediately.

    Hi guys,.

I had the same problem with a HP Pavilion dv7-6e22b. I read on a short cable inside the screen.
I found the post on the way in which the display is connected. It's an older model but I was curious to know how to remove the cover of the machine. It contains 2 screws (that I didn't have to remove to access the camera) just be causious does not break the bevel.

    http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-LCD-screen-inverter-Board-HP-Pavilion-dv7-notebook/

It is an older model in the new model, the connector of the webcam is located directly under the lens of the webcam itself.
I pressed connector you slightly. And suddenly I hear a USB all OFA linking sound. After that my device manager showed a "device-image", and the software work directly.

I jump it will solve your problems. I say read all messages and do not find a solution to the driver or software and after seeing the connector, I think it's an effort of poor deisgn by using short cables and small connectors.

    good luck to all!
