I think that to get a recovery, I need the recovery CD. However, it is a machine that did not come with a recovery CD because everything has been preloaded. I don't burn the recovery of files on a CD.

Have you tried to insert recovery discs?

Did you create recovery discs before reformat you the hard drive?

When reformatting a hard drive, it takes the operating system and everything related to it off the hard drive. That being said, in order to re - install the operating system and all of its essential drivers, you need Recovery CD or a USB stick recovery. If you have not done one for the laptop, you can follow the document 'getting HP Recovery disks or year HP USB Recovery Drive' .

  • M6 1102sa envy: do recovery

I have laptop Envy m6 1102sa, I bought it 3 years ago, I don't have a recovery disk, and I want to restore to its original state.

I have a folder named recovery has these files:

    Recovery >

    WindowsRE >

    WinUCRD.wim (334 MB)

    _CNBRP2. FLG (1 KB)

    lang.ini (1 KB)

    TypeList.txt (1 KB)

It is the recovery folder (I don't remember if I've made changes to it!)?

Please help me to recover my laptop, as it works very badly!

These files seems to be recovering files Microsoft Windows and no HP recovery files. If you create your HP recovery media when you first set up your computer and that you do not have an HP Recovery partition, you will need to contact HP in your country/region to see if there is support of HP recovery.

  • HP dv6 envy: want to know on the best internal hard drive to replace it with

Hi friends... I return my hp dv6 want 3 years and it has worked well for me so far, but since last month, everytime I turn on my laptop, a message is popping indicating that YOUR HARD DISK has FOUND YEAR IMMINENT FAILURE AND there NEED TO BE REPLACED and I studied a lot of posts here regarding this problem and everyone was asked to replace it with a new one. I don't know what drive should I replace it with. Could someone please help me in this regard. I need the following details:

    1. where can I find new internal hard drive HP ENVY DV6 1 to buy?

    2. can we replace this hard drive with the hard drive to other companies? (such as seaggate)... If so, so, please let me know

    3. can I replace the hard drive with a hard drive of 1 to solid state?

    4. links to vendors who sell internal hard drive?

    Please help me friends...

The answer is Yes in all areas. The laptop will accept any 2.5 inch wide disk SATA 9.5 or 7 mm thick and which includes mechanical hard drives and Solid State drives. Where are you located (one country)? Hard drives and SSDS for laptops are a part of the goods. You can pick them up at a Best Buy or Frys if you live where there are no Frys or you can use amazon.com or newegg.com or similar online service. The prices vary a lot, so it is useful to get a good deal. A 1 to SSD can run more than $300, you know. Need instructions for installing and/or migrating software? We are a bit like McDonalds here in the Forum... served billion regarding replace drive hard/updates to level. One of the specialties of the House, so to speak.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6c75ea Enterta: Recovery windows media 10

    Hello

After a BIOS update the PC does not start correctly. When it starts it askes for recovery/repair windows media. How and where can I download that?

    BR

    Roger

    You're welcome, Roger.

Someone must have upgraded your dv6-6c75ea, because this model initially provided with Windows 7 to factory.

When you start from the disc W10 make you, on the lower left side of the installation window, there will be a repair option.

You can choose that and in this menu, there are a few choices of repair.

But if you must reinstall Windows 10, as I wrote earlier, you will not have a product key as long as W10 has been previously activated.

  • HP Envy: System recovery process

I've recently encountered problems with my machine HP Envy starts is not on Windows 10.  After many attempts to make it work, I finally gave up and decided to restore the device to factory settings by using the system recovery USB stick I created.  The machine was bought with windows 8, and I have upgraded to windows 10 before creating the system recovery disk.  Not sure if it is a factor or not.

The recovery process has failed three times.  He could get to the final step to restart the machine after copying the files on the hard drive and just hang out.  Finally on the fourth attempt that it seemed to work, since I have done to the Windows login screen (it looks like a Windows 8 connection for me).

My problem is that the Windows login screen goes straight to the 'user', and asked a username / password.  I expect since I restore to factory settings it would allow me to create a new user, but this option is not available.  The only sign in options must use a local account (and of course there is no account since it is now a new machine), or to log in using my Microsoft account.  Neither work.  Very frustrating.

Someone has experienced this problem when you perform a restore to the factory settings?

Is there anyway to connect as long as administrator on a new machine so I can create a user?

It is a known problem that doesn't happen very often.

I have recommended to perform the recovery of images an other factory.

I have HP pavilion dv6 3052ee. with windows 7 preinstalled .He has 3partitions on his hard drive... Drive c 444 GB for windows and my files. drive D is called recovery. and drive E is called HP tools.

I tried to install win 8.1 from a USB key. but it just keeps restarting until it reaches even the desk top. so I decided to go back to windows 7. but before you start the recovery by pressing f 11 at startup, I started at the command prompt. and typing "format c:/FS: NTFS" and you press on enter. but it does not format the c drive... He formatted system drive before the drive c. then tried to push f 11 on start up, but it has not begun recovery... He tried to start win 8.1 and kept restarting in a circle as usual.

My question... Is it possible to start the recovery on the D drive in the command prompt?

  • HP dv6 Envy: how to stop the automatic installation of 8.1 to win on HP Envy laptop?

My laptop HP Envy has automatic update downloaded to Win 8.1. He saysit will install on the next reboot. How to stop this instsall?

    PSKROBACK wrote:

I didn't upgrade because I read several reviews that said if you didn't have a touch screen that you would have difficulties to navigation in some applications. What apps not said.

What you say makes no sense and I question the validity of these comments.  Update to Windows 8.1 will do more good than harm.  Very few people who have updated have experienced problems, so comments to keep your receipt no logic.

Here's something you can do.  Download Macrium reflect free and create a hard disk image on an external hard drive, don't forget to create the rescue disk.  Once done, update your system to 8.1.  If you have any problems, then you will be OK.  If it doesn't work or you have problems you can restore the backup of the image on your system that will put the computer to Windows 8 with no ill effects.  An image backup of your system from time to time is the best thing you can do.  You will have no problems with the help of recovery disks, reinstalling programs and data.  Many people use this method and have no regrets.

    Hi @bleach-eminem,.

I'd love to help get rid you of the error you see. I suggest you Open the Device Manager and remove the 'unknown' printer you probably see here.

  • Envy Touchsmart K204TX: Envy K203TX recovery disks can be used to retrieve a K204TX feel like?

Hi, the first thing I did when I got my Envy cell phone, K203TX, was to create a set of recovery disks.

Then I discovered that the laptop has several questions.

HP sent me a technician on-site, and technology, said these problems were caused by a material defective number (display board, motherboard and the case has a defective battery lock). It helped me to return the laptop as DOA.

The problem is, HP store couldn't make me K203TX one another, I paid like $150 and upgraded to a fancy K204 TX.

I have now the 204TX and this laptop has no problem at all, it's as good as it can get.

My drive recovery K203TX of envy is always with me.
