  I had to reimage my laptop Dell Latitude 3540, who recently bought with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, and although I could install all drivers successfully, I have a yellow exclamation mark on my device manager next to (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. I sought the support of drivers @ Dell, I installed the software My Dell and even installed the driver Intel utility update but could not solve the problem. Would you be kind enough to advise me on how to solve this problem?

  However, I just thought about it: I did a search of the Bus USB controller hardware id and noticed on the 3540 Dell chipset is Intel 8 running on the processor Interl i5 4th Gen. So I did a search for drivers USB 3.0 on the Intel site and installed successfully.

  The problem is resolved.
  Thank you all to try it.

  Now, the magic software that solved my problem was "pilot identifier. (I didn't know it)

  It can detect unknown hardware ID devices (as you did) and recommends drivers for them.

  The pilot who was the solution has been Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible host controller driver.
  They are different but you choose the one that is compatible with your chipset.

  Pilot identifier recommend correct.

  Installation: Just run a single setup.exe, and that's all!

  Try the following.

  First, right-click on each 'unknown' device and select uninstall.

  Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

  I installed Windows 7 in Acer Aspire E5 - 551G, but there doesn't seem to be an operating system that is supported by ACER, because on the page to download ACER drivers, drivers are available only for Windows 8.1

  I found manually and installed successfully the various drivers for Windows 7, but I'm not able to find the appropriate driver for the "pilot of Serial Bus universal (USB)", and I guess that's the reason for a USB connection that does not work.

  Hello, I just formatted my laptop and now when I goto the Device Manager I see an icon missing drivers. I already have a full windows update. Its about "(USB) Universal Serial Bus controller". I tried to find the drivers to support page here to toshiba, but when I tried to install it, it says that it can be installed with SP1 and I have SP2.
