  Not sure what you mean by 'computer based Wi Fi' so what follows cannot help. However, if you have a router Wi - Fi and your Mac is connected then see the following:

I have to be sure that it is not complicated, as I want to install the upgrade to Windows 7 (family pack) on 3 PC/laptops running Vista. I would upgrade as detailed instructions on how I would do a new installation using the Windows 7. This is important because I don't want to create a nightmarish experience of backup, install the original operating system, install the upgrade, etc. etc. etc.

It happens from time to time that the update will not go through your system is already updated and it's why it fails.

  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers who might need to update on your system.

  It shows me it seems to be interference with the task of software, usually your virus protection.

  You may need to disable this software, and then run Windows Update.
