HP Envy 17 Notebook TS: upgrading the window

When I am notified that there is an upgrade of the window, I run it and it downloads and installs it but when you check to restart the computer, it starts, but States that it cannot complete the downloads and product to remove all the day that has been done.

Hi @Gary46 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook dv6-3180ea and issues with updates. I would simply ignore the update. It happens from time to time that the update will not go through your system is already updated and it's why it fails.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers who might need to update on your system.

It shows me it seems to be interference with the task of software, usually your virus protection.

You may need to disable this software, and then run Windows Update.

I hope this fixes things for you.

Thank you.

    Hello

I've noticed that the new Windows 10 will be free for people running windows 8.1

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: Envy 15 empty show - but the windows facing up and running - and can be accessed via Team Viewer

    Hello

I used the laptop for almost two years, and today I came across the following problem (yesterday everithing worked fine):

I opened the laptop and the power light is on, the finger scanning led was light but no display on the screen.

I use team Viewer and I can access the computer laptop, scanned the finger and loads of windows 8.1 correctly, but still nothing appears on the screen of the laptop.

Using Team Viewer: right click on desktop-> screen resolution and there are:

    Display: 1 Digital Flat Panel (1024 x 768 60 Hz)

    Resolution: 1024 x 768 (recommended)<- is="" grayed="">

The screen should generally at a larger display: 1920 x 1080.

So far, I have tried the following: Hard reset, serveral reboots, but no idea what to do next.

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you connected an HDMI cable to the displayport to see if an external monitor works?

You should have seen a normal window with Teamviewer. As I understand it, the window of Teamviewer for laptop is grayed out.

This means that the solution of video display in your laptop has very probably.

The previous suggestion, I did check.

  • HP Pavilion g6-2330dx Notebook: keep displaying the "Windows Installer" dialog box and pressing OK button to restart over and over again

    Hello

I tried to update my laptop Win8 to Win10, but before that Win 8 must be upgraded to Win8.1 then Win10. Unfortunately, I encountered the problem after you install the free upgrade to WIn10.

I decided to use the system recovery and the source is from my USB.  (I created the USB key recovery).  The restoration was completed and started making configuration suddenly my laptop just because of the excessive heat caused my laptop stop does not complete the installation of windows 8 and finished to get the dialog box of "Windows Installer".

I inserted the USB key, but it seems that its not reading. I tried F2 - mode of the system, but it only shows the Bios and other tests not the usual display of F2.  I haven't tried F11 and same thing no chance.

My question is, how do I make my laptop back to the operating mode as the way to reinstall the entire operating system and HP Recovery Manager or HP configurations.

Do I need to buy a CD of HP recovery my laptop?

I have HP reactions appreaciate or someone who is ready to help and assist.

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:

How to reset the Windows Update components

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.

I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.
