HP ENVY 17 - J075EZ: Cable for 2nd Bay hard drive for HP ENVY 17

Hi all! I wanted to ask a question. I own a HP ENVY 17-J075EZ, and in it there are two locations for hard disk, including the main used from the hard drive... Because I wanted to put an SSD, but still keep the HARD drive, I wanted to know how it's called the second cable to connect a second drive hard and, eventually, the price and where to buy! Thanks in advance!

  • Drive hard County Bay & hard drive Bay opening in HP ENVY 15-3090

    Greetings,

I have a HP ENVY 15-3090 ca I bought last year that I believe has a failing hard drive.  It's discs hard perfect excuse for me to install a larger (or more?) and I would like to ask for some information on the laptop.

First of all, are there two hard drive bays or just one?  I know that I could use my optical drive to a new hard drive Bay, but I'd rather not.

Second, how deepen access to the area of the hard drive Bay so that I can install it with a new drive hard (or readers?).  It is not immediately obvious to me how I could open this laptop at first sight and inspection, but I could be missing something painfully easy.

Thanks in advance for your time, I appreciate it.

    Hello

Your laptop has 1-Bay HARD drive: the drive sits under the same cover that conceals the battery.  There is a catch, you have to slide before that this coverage will release - see the description & images on Pages 43-44 of your & Maintenance Guide.

  • Portege S100 Ultra Slim Bay HARD drive adapter take 2.5 HDD?

As the title says really, think to add a second hard drive to my portege s100, but not sure if the Ultra Slim Bay adapter HARD disk can take normal 2.5 "HDD, or just the special Ultra Slim Bay HARD drive.
    Thank you

    Hello

First of all, you need to use the HARD drive adapter selectable right Bay which is compatible with the Portege S100.

I found an and it seems that the HARD drive adapter Bay selectable PA3408U-1ETC is the right!
Case Interface is serial ATA (SATA). And the Serial - ATA 80GB HDD Kit PA3407U - 1 H 80 must be compatible with the select Bay case

  • Tecra M5: Need for a Slim Select Bay HARD drive adapter

I bought the Tecra M5 last week and I'm very happy with it, but I also bought the disc adapter HARD Slim SelectBay (number PA3134U-2CTE)
I already have a hard drive to go inside, but upon arrival, I found that they are not compatible, and I need a caddy / adapter plate so that it all works!

Anyone have any ideas on a market after copy?
I spent the last 4 hours of the day on the phone with various departments within Toshiba and suppliers, of which none seem to be able to help. I'm going to spend 280 on a 100 GB HARD drive, when a 120 gig on his own is only 120, I think 160 for the plate of the evasive / caddy is too expensive!

    Cheers in anticipation.

    Nick

    Hello

I found information on the net that the adapter Slim Select Bay drive HARD PA3134U-2CTE is a really good part, and I imagine that you must now only a compatible HARD drive.
The drive HARD and any other compatible parts, you can order from the Toshiba service partner in your country.

  • Second Bay hard drive to replace the Blu - Ray player

Does anyone know if this drive Bay would work on the Y580?

    http://www.Amazon.com/micro-SATA-cables-optical-adapter/DP/B005L94EAM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&QID=1354201...

I need to find one from a seller we.

It worked fine on my z580, who seems to have the same chassis as yours:

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B0056EW4A4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00

and while you're there you can get it too, in case you need the STRANGE:

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B00274HQY0/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01

BTW, it is difficult to get off the bezel, I had to push the vertical tab on the left side (if it is viewed from the front) for awhile I didn't break it. Those in the middle are off easily and the last one (horizontal to the right) is more difficult to identify, you slightly rotate the bezel away from him.

And do not forget to move the rear support in metal in the new Assembly, otherwise the HARD drive is only required by the SATA connection

  • Start HP DV9000 of the 2nd SATA HARD drive

I have a HP DV9000 with Windows 7.  I cloned the original boot on a Hitachi 1 TB drive and, after hours of hacking and frustration (documented on another post), it now starts and works very well.  I then installed the original (bootable) 250 GB HARD drive in Bay 2 and it works fine - as a second data drive.

Now, I want to be able to boot off of it (dual-boot).  'Change Boot Order' various options on the ESC and function keys and in the configuration allow you to change the order of * device-type * (CD, USB, SATA, NET), but no specific device * number *.  Therefore, I can choose "SATA Drive", as the primary boot device, and defaults to O Drive (first internal SATA).  There is no other choice I can find for a start on internal 1 (2nd SATA) drive.  Can I put thatsame drive in an external USB adapter and it start fine - but not as the 2nd intern.

Someone at - he need one?

Don't you have figured on the second Bay is not bootable. The second span is just for storage. It is actually a usb connection and is not a true SATA interface.

  • Satellite A500 - is there a model with the 2nd internal HARD drive?

Is there a model A500 with 2 internal drives?

    Hello!

You can check it on the Toshiba site in the specifications of the laptop if it s equipped ;) 2nd HARD drive

But I checked the Toshiba Web site for you, and it seems that Satellite A500 isn't equipped with the 2nd HARD drive.
If you want a 2nd HARD drive therefore use an external that you can connect via for example fast eSATA port.

    Good bye

  • I'm trying to interconnect a XP home and a XP Pro with a Firewire 1394 through a Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus HARD drive cable to share the HARD drive and also run a home network.

Is it possible for me to take the files of XP Home that has installed 1394 controller and use the 4 files that I found marked 1394 in I386 to form the controller on my XP Pro, more driver 1394 in \WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS to close the loop and enable the ethernet connection both 1394 on both computers to have two computers connected to the Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus as well as HARD drive the network. I was hoping maybe even replace the ethernet cable and use the connection 1394 through the Maxtor which has several types of connectors on it.  Again, I am trying to install a controller 1394 on a computer that has no 1394, than USB 2.0. so that the XP Pro machine will recognize the 1394 card with my home XP firewire cable to the Maxtor HDD which it is already connected to the XP Pro via USB 2.0? I have you confused yet?

I found a post of S.W. video dated the 05/01/11, which has been handled by Gokul T and treated with the Firewire cable and video on a newer operating system, so I thought I would test Gokul T or someone else to resolve this situation. I couldn't find a controller IEEE 1394 I could just download and install on my XP Pro machine. These are the two Dell, is an inspiron 5100 with installed 1394 with taking and the GX280 is one without the 1394 controller installed, or the socket.

You will need a firewire to XP Pro card. The drivers are already on the hard drive. Once the card is installed, you will see the icon of the network for this adapter. So you can use it.

The reason why there is no 1394 net adapter on XP Pro is now, because there is no firewire card

  • can 2nd hand hard drive, I put vista on it?

    Hi all

First is the hard drive (Vista) on my wifes laptop packed in so I managed to find a 2nd disc from the hand of the same type that had vista on it too, but it has been cleaned. I have the recovery for the old disk cd hard and im wondering can I put vista on the laptop with the 2nd disc of hand and work there cause it have the product key for this. Make sence?

You can replace the hard drive of the computer and reinstall Vista. You can't have an install licensed so if the old hard drive still works, you need to remove Vista from it (if the old drive is broken it's OK).

Insert the recovery disk, and then restart the computer and boot from the drive to start the installation process. If the computer does not start from the disc:

BIOS - how to enter the BIOS and change Boot Order To Boot from CD/DVD

The computer might need to be set to boot from the DVD drive.

Each computer is different, when you turn on the computer, it should tell you what button to push to get into the BIOS. It is usually one of the following options and you have to push it in the first 5 seconds:

    F1 F2 F10 F12 ESC LED

Once in the BIOS find the menu with the boot sequence and change it if it starts from the CD/DVD drive first. Each computer is a little different for this process as well, so I can't give exact directions.

If your BIOS settings are correct and if you have a DVD player, when the computer restarts if there is a message "press any key to boot from the disk", you press a key on the keyboard to boot from the DVD.

  • How do I know if my laptop has two bays HARD drives?

    Hello

    Dv6-6093ex product name

    Product number: LM610EA

If I had upgraded to standrad HDD in an SSD and want to leave the HARD drive installed in drive secondray Bay. Can my laptop cause two bays for HARD drives?

I install SSD on the main drive Bay. If I don't need the HARD drive storage space, I'll just move to the disk bay secondary school (I assume that my laptop has two bays for HARD drives).

Your laptop has a 2.5-inch HDD Bay. There is no WSSD slot so you can have a single hard drive, unless you are willing to give up the optical drive, in which case you can use an optical drive for hard drive adapter. If you want to use a SSD put in the slot 2.5 internal and a hard drive in the Bay optical adapter.

  • 2nd IDE HARD drive problems

    Hey,.

    I'm having a problem with a 2nd drive HARD IDE, I,

For some reason any used on my PC recognize it,.

I have a 160 Gb SATA HDD (which is my first HARD drive with the OS on it) and a 40 GB IDE HARD drive (which is for storage, etc.)

Now I want my second HARD drive (where is also 40 GB) of additional storage space, but my PC used to recognize both IDE, one of them at a time with the SATA HARD drive.

The two IDE is fine and working properly I know (I ran the Tests and others), they both are recognized when put with the SATA, one at a time but not when I put all three in all

    My Pc is:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00892923

SATA is: Western Digital Caviar WD1600JS (160Gb) (OS = XP Pro 32-bit)

    IDE 1 is: Maxtor 2F040L0 (40 GB)

    2nd IDE is: Seagate ST340015A (40 GB)

No idea as to why its doing this and a way to fix it?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

Sorry its been, lived a hard time lately, not had much on my mind.

    The problem is solved!

It may be a combination of things you suggested or the fact that I saw my PC the other day and re-installed the OS completely.

Suffice it to say: all three now work together

Thanks a lot for your help, you two

  • Disk management will not read the 2nd internal hard drive more!

    Hello

I am a user of windows 7 and later than yesterday (2016_Feb_02) managing disks stopped to read the secondary internal hard drive (it was working perfectly well before). Does CPU, a beep when it is turned on or even rebooted and more when it comes to the windows logo, the PC hangs for a good 15 seconds.

The hard drive was an external hard drive and I removed the cover must be installed on my PC, but it has worked well for more than 5 months so far.

I would like to reuse the hard disk without losing any data.

    Information on PC:
