HP Envy 5531: HP Envy 5531 - question of Control Panel

I just installed the HP Envy 5531.  It prints.  The problem is that the control panel shows just the logo of hp, "Configuration" / "Detail Demo" lower-left with a blue background on the lower right.  As much as I try to push the "Setup" - the control panel is unresponsive.  How can I fix?

Called technical support.  The guy remotedly consulted printer, tried to update the firmware, but it has already been updated.  No other option other than what you gave me.

BUT taking what I read on another blog (the touchpad being aligned by the control), I started a pressure under the buttom (where black meets money; just under the 'Setup' button - see photo where I placed my finger) and VOILA!  I managed to do the work.  It was difficult to find that spot again and again then the printer put in place, but I had finally finished it and now it works perfectly!  Hope this helps someone else!

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and the only problem I found was that the Beats Audio Control Panel does not work.

I also tried to uninstall drivers and reinstall it from the hp website, find my model number and appropriate IDT Audio driver software, but this does not work too.
Already when I got windows 8, beats audio has worked, but as soon as I upgraded to this 8.1, this error.

    Hi @MegaArm ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

This is a fantastic place to find answers and suggestions!

You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the HP Forums Learn how Post and more

I understand that your audio Beats worked very well until you upgraded to 8.1 Windows now, you get a dialog box indicating the "'IDT Audio of PC has stopped working". "

You have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver now prevail.

If you go to Device Manager, what is the error on the audio device?

Have you impossible to uninstall the driver or unable to reinstall the driver on the HP website.

If you access the Device Manager can you right click on the audio and update the driver from here or do a driver roll back.

Then, I'll try to do a HP PC - refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8) .

The question must always be, if a recovery to factory.

HP computers - performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system

During recovery, you will receive an option to backup your personal files to avoid data loss. If you have not already done one, I suggest do you it now.

HP computers - restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8)

Once you have completed this process do all your Windows updates.

Now run the HP Support Assistant to acquire the HP updates.

  • Question on Control Panel

I am a newbie, while the export of sites to Wp is possible to create a custom panel to edit the site in the Wp dashboard?

Saying the content can be accessed, I mentioned that the page objects can be viewed from front end.

By a control panel design, means that we are talking about a User Interface where you can order the functions and features of the application. This can be done with Muse.

Issue. On the touch screen when there is more than one page to any topic (ie 1/2), how to scroll the next page?

In the upper right corner, there is a small icon (key) to get the settings. It works very well, however, some of the parameters have 2 pages. How do the next page?

    Hi fgoodjr,

Thanks a lot to visit the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you are interested in learning how to navigate the control panel of the HP Photosmart 6520.

The best way to explain this is to drag upward slightly with your finger, when you see other options you can browse just slide up to see all available options, when you see the option you want to press down until you see open option.

I could find this document which covers the touchscreen notebooks, but it gives you some common gestures touch screen: using the touch screen

  • HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe: Beats Audio Control Panel is missing after upgrade to Windows 10 anniversary

OK I need help with my HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe desktop computer. My pc came with Windows Pro 8.1 and it had an audio panel where you can set the audio beats. When Windows 10 came out I've upgraded to Pro 10 Windows and my control panel audio beats was still on my pc and worked very well. Then, when Windows 10 anniversary came out August 2 my pc automatically updated for the anniversary edition. Everything was normal, but my control panel audio beats had disappeared and I was able to find it anywhere. Do anyone knows how I can get it back or if there is no driver I can download to get it.

    Hello:

If the W8.1 driver does not work, this W10 IDT audio driver should restore function Audio Beats.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • HP ENVY 114 e-all-in-one printer - D411c control panel problem

The printer has been used for a HP Pavilion with Vista and an HP running Win 7 laptop.  It is configured on a local wireless network.

I've had the printer for a year and I am very very happy with it, but:

The Panel recently has stopped working properly.

It does not complete the boot process and remains with the small blue HP graphic on the screen.

The printer continues to print correctly on both computers.

On Vista machine I can run the series HP Envy 110 support demand and access to ink, preferences and analysis levels correctly.

Win 7 does not demand full support on the machine. I don't get the included links for features like 'see what's printing","Set preferences", the"estimated ink levels"and others. And I can't scan from this machine.

I have power drove the printer a number of times.

Is there a secret way to reset the printer, so a default configuration that could properly start whe the control panel is not available?

I consider myself at least able, both for the work of PC and networks of intermediate level.

I'm not aware of any HW or SW change other than the frequent patches issued by Microsoft.

    THX,

    Jim

  • HP ENVY 7640: Control Panel printer is not responding.

control panel touch printer does not respond. The power button is sensitive and the button of the nfc. Need help please

    Hey @mrjunior,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that the front panel of your printer does not work e-all-in-one HP ENVY 7640.  I want to help you with this.

Have you tried a hard reset?

1 make sure that your printer is on.
    2. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.
    3. wait 60 seconds.
4 reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
    5. press the power button to turn on the printer (if it does not start automatically).

It has more advanced reset steps available, but they are not good for you if the printer will not allow for you to navigate the touchscreen menus.  If this basic trick restores façade features let me know and I will private message you the semi full reset steps.  Otherwise, I recommend that join you our technical support team. • Windows 8.1 update, my documents, and control panel questions

I have a laptop HP Envy m6 and a few weeks ago, put PC updated to Windows 8.1 Windows 8. It was working fine until yesterday.

When I open Explorer file it says that the 'My PC' folder is empty. Other times it works fine when the file Explorer is the first open but will not work if it is closed and reopened without restarting the computer. I also discovered that the Panel does not work. It opens but the window is empty. I can not access anything which would be normally accessed through the control panel as change the wallpaper, add or modify the equipment, etc.. Finally, with the exception files, icons indicating the type of file for example the Word Document, Pdf etc. do not appear when displayed in the file Explorer, but view correctly on the desktop computer. The computer works - I can access the internet, save, and create documents, but struggle to access later (if possible).

    Thanks for your help.

    NeedHelp55,

If the upgrade has been done for weeks, while the problem is probably not the upgrade itself, although something is certainly wrong since then.

    Thoughts on the subject...

    ==========================================================================

    Windows updates

If you have not done recently (or at all) be sure that you have all of your updates to Windows Installer.  Some people are 'Anti update' and the world can be a scary place with updates that don't always work as planned.  You have not to install updates for Windows 8.1 after the upgrade - this isn't a choice.  You can always disable them again later.

    ==========================================================================

System Restore - back in time

If the system has recently installed updates, and then if the system has created a Restore Point before these updates applied, then you can "back track" to a date / time before the changes have been made.

Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

Don't forget: you can create a Restore Point manually any time you want if you have these "back points."  This occasionally - it of a good thing and could save your back one of these days.  The smile.

    ==========================================================================

    New user account

You could try to create a new account - create with administrator privileges, just in case you need the account later.

If you can get the PC settings, then you might be able to create a new account.

    Long way around:

Windows key > type anywhere pc > click PC config > other accounts > add account

You can name the account that you want, and you can use with your current Microsoft account, login if you wish.  You may need to obtain a new Microsoft login code - you can use another device (phone, Tablet, another computer) to pick up the email containing the new code that will be sent to Microsoft.

Log in to the new account and put in place the "settings" for this account.  Check if the new account actually works as expected.

IF the new account is working and that your old account is messed up, then - use the new account, at least until you have one fix for the other.  You can always copy your documents.  Configure the settings for the account manually, however, to minimize the chances that 'break you' the new account.

Click on the thumbs-up Kudos to say thank you.

While I strive to reflect best practices of HP, I do not work for HP.

  • Two screen question: Control Panel appears on the screen 1 but the mouse is on the screen 2 and so I can't access

I have a Sony Vaio laptop connected to a stand alone monitor. I don't use the laptop screen unless there is a problem and then I had to alternate between the two screens using Fn F7 key.

A problem has occurred with the rundll32 process (which I'm trying to fix separately) and this led to the PC automatically flicking between screens and then stick with the independent monitor but in low resolution (so I couldn't access the tool bar along the bottom).

I went to control panel to change the resolution to high, but the question of rundll32 kept close the process.

This left me with icons on the desktop of the monitor stand alone, a white color on the laptop screen (it is normally black) and the ease of Fn F7 does not (said the service is not available).

When I click on Control Panel on the screen of stand alone, it opens on the screen of the laptop, but I can't access it because the function of the mouse is on the screen to stand alone.

Can someone help before I go out drinking?

    Thanks, Temp.

I seem to have solved the problem. It seems that display order has been reversed and so I just had to move the mouse to the right of the screen to stand alone (I had been pushing against the left hand side) to move on the screen of the laptop. From there on, I played a bit with the display settings in the control panel and, although the issue of the always kept dllrun32 throw me out, seems to be back on the screen of stand-alone only, with the correct resolution and the Fn f7 works again. This means I can put the top back on bottle of vodka, at least until the next issue of dllrun32 arises.

  • Question about the control panel user accounts in windows 7.

This might be a bit of a strange question, but I'll see what I get. Basically when I enter the control panel via my username (not the admin account) and click on "Add or remove user accounts" and enter a password to admin, the photos on my user and admin account both fail (but they are there on the log on screen, etc.). But the guest account (which is disabled) the image of bag of comments showing. But if I enable the guest account, the image disappears. Strange. Any ideas how to get the pictures to show up there?

Also, I will add that this occurs only in the standard user, not my account Admin accounts I converted my standard account to an administrator account, and the pictures then decided to appear.

    Thanks for your time.

I have the same problem, and that this does not affect my usage, I don't worry in this regard. Frankly, I was wondering that myself...

  • 7640 envy: envy 7640 questions.

I had a printer photosmart and loved. Unfortunitly I wore him out.

    So, I bought a HP ENVY 7640 printer all-in-one.

I'm having serious problems with this one and want to know if others have had the same problems.

    This thing sucks!

It came with a black and tricolor cartridge that worked well the first week.

A week thereafter when I use it and when I tried the color stop working except yellow.

Tried the cleaning process and each time, it improved a bit, but never 100%.

This cleaning process emptied the cartridges to capacity of about 1/3.

I bought a second set of cartridges at the same time and install them.

Back in business, has worked well.

Another week went by, and I tried to print and to the same question.

Performed the 3 own process and it has improved, but only about 60% of what it should have been.

Removed the cartridge and clean the printhead manually with a handkerchief, reinstalled and it has worked again.

This seems to be a SERIOUS design flaw if the ink will dry the printheads, butcher, not work, and not even a triple pass of cleanup is fixed.

I've never had this poor performance of a printer before!

I am concerned by the fact that request has a total size of money to purchase extra cartridges and inscription in ink on the program.

I'll take it back and exchange it for another one again and if it does the same thing, this is the last HP printer that I will never buy! I wanted to stick because I worked for HP for 25 years, but if their products have got this bad I will go to someone elses!

Please let me know if anyone of you have experienced these problems.

Ink cartridges it uses are the cartridges '62.

    James

WOW, HP your entire response is intended to force someong to enter positive comments.

I have been an employee of HP for 25 years and this new approach is VERY EMBARISING!

    My solution?

I brought back to Staples and exchanged.

Time will tell if my problem is a design flaw!

I reported OBVIOUS design flaws in the past and had engineers agree HP!

Ads that do not come even close to matching the product, etc.

I know because I did the analysis of the root causes for HP for more than 25 years.

I love HP, again in 10 years they are emptied down the toliet by the CEO who did not have the slightest idea what direction or is quality!

I sincerely hope that HP gets their act together.

  • HP Envy 5530 question about Online versus WiFi and access by HP for ink monitoring program

    Hello

I am new here and also back to the program monthly fresh HPs for the programme of replacement of ink as well, I tried to find the answer to my question but could not.  Then...

My question is, as I don't have a WiFi router (used for tv, netflix etc. at all hours of the day) to use my new HP printer Envy 5530, and given that I am enrolled in the program of ink, this means that my computer itself must stay online 24/7? Or just have my WiFi on 24/7 gives the printer access, it must be monitored by HP for its ink for the monthly subscription levels to be enrolled in the program of HP ink?

    Thank you

    PhyAnnie

    Hello

No need to be on 24/7. Whenever you turn on the printer, it will connect to HP Server you set up normally (you can print, scan, and send it to print).

    Kind regards.

  • Envy 17: Questions about New 17 "computers laptops Envy with 6th Gen Skylake processors

I see the new Skylake i7 CPU showed in the line of envy (I waited for my purchase), but he has very little information provided on the HP site and what's next is some confussion. I mean, I'm looking at a $2,000 laptop - a little information on the sales page would be nice!

There are 2 17 '' want options (not the best value) that are customizable - display a touch and the other not.

No touch lists a 256GB SSD option, and 1 TB spinner - touch lists a SSD 512 GB or double spinners.

Basically, I can assume there are 2-Bay 2.5 "as previous models of envy, but what is the SSD? It is a 2.5 "SATA? What is M2? Is - this mSATA? If it's M2 or mSATA is on the lower part of the Board of Directors and easily replaceable?

Which in the end line want is a bunch of fo SSD 512 GB (or 1 TB) and a cone of 1 TB for storage and available configs don't happen. Can I do it myself?

Well, I guess I answered my own question...

(manual for the 2015 Envy 17 is located @ http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04696907)

The manual shows a connection for the SSD with two m2 2 2.5 "bays. For those who wish to have a second (or third) car related parts appear to be:

Hard drive cable 813795-001 (not shown)

Kit (not shown) hardware hard drive 813796-001
