HP envy 700 414: Recovery Manager

The HP Recovery Manager is installed on this computer, or must it be downloaded?

If you have installed how I enter?

Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

If the computer came with Windows preinstalled and you do not have try to manually remove the software HP Recovery manager then it should be there. You can click on the Windows Start button and type the name to search for.

If you do not want to perform a recovery system, here are the official instructions > > http://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c04758961#AbT0

If you simply want to create recovery media, here are the official instructions > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03481733 (even if it says Win 8, he will work to win 10, as well.)

Please, let me know if it works for you.

I recently installed Windows 7 on my hp envy 700-414 and missing a lot of pilots. A user by the name of banhiem gave me a link to download the drivers of a 700-230 hp envy. Hello

The NVIDIA 9600, I've just looked at requires an auxiliary PCI-E 6 pin.  If the 9600 GT from NVIDIA that you require such a connector, then it will not work on your PC, unless you change to food.  In addition, the 9600 GT does not support DirectX 11, which is used with the recent PC games.

Yes, I think it might have something to do with Windows 10 that many have network problems.  Since WiFi as a single screen shows that it is not connected, I would start with that.

Currently, HP has not posted all the drivers for the 700-414 envy.

See if the latest version of the HP Support Assistant identifies a version of BIOS later.

  • HP Envy 700-414: no sound through speakers

You just bought a 700-414 want to replace my 8 year PC.  My TV is used to monitor system and speaker.  For audio, the PC and the TV are connected using a 3.5 mm stereo cable.  The cable is plugged on the "audio out" on the back of the PC and to the "audio in" at the back of the TV.  Everything is properly connected... but no audio signal passes through the TV.  But if I unplug the cable and plug headphones, I get audio.  Here's the other weird part.  My TV and an old PC were connected using the same cable in the same way and worked great.  So I reconnected it the old PC to the TV just to be sure, it wasn't the cable.  When I open an audio file it worked normally, it's just like before.

Thus, the cable does not work on the new PC, but the headphones don't.  However, the fact cable work on the old PC.  If the cable works on the old PC, then I suppose I must exclude the cable as the problem.  That seems to suggest that the problem is related to the new PC.  But then why I would get audio through the headphones, but not the speakers.  I went through the troubleshooting audio standard and all settings are fine.  I have run and rerun the audio test and he said everything is normal. This baffled me.  I am hoping there is a simple solution.  Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi again Rivalkyrie,

    Thanks for the quick response!

According to the integrated video graphics specifications for your computer, the integrated graphics subsystem will automatically deactivate if the graphics card is installed. Given that the motherboard supports a connection of generation PCI bus 2.0 and the necessary 300W for the new graphics card, I recommend install the NVIDIA software first and then the installation of the graphics card. This should help your system to recognize and install the new hardware.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

I love this keyboard... that's what I've been looking for years! It works fine, but the battery indicator which is SUPPOSED to be in the SYSTRAY isn't here. Maybe I'm too picky or petty, but I would like to have this icon to show me when the batteries become weak in the keyboard.

The documents that came with the new keyboard or online mentioned this CD, but I can't find any software or upgrade for this keyboard.

Also, is there a list of compatible mouse H - P, which work with the Receiver USB 5 link? I have at least three HP wireless mouse and none of them work with this receiver.

It would be nice to have a list of all devices compatible!

In seeking to add a second internal drive, there is no motherboard SATA cable.   It's disappointing.  Where can I get a cable?

    Hello

NewEgg.com or most electronics stores like Best Buy should have SATA data cables.  A cable SATA III about 12 "long should suffice.  In addition, wiil you need 4 x HP Compaq blue screw 6-32 SFF Hard Drive isolation mounting Guide-450712-001.  Review the results of Google for 450712-001.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

It would NOT in fact the virus which prevents HP Recovery Manager to work.

While Microsoft says there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always return to your BONES and the original installation program within 30 days, the ugly fact of the matter is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when she fails, she can let machines in a State corrupted - that does not always happen , but it happens often enough to be a problem and you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!

If this is not enough, the Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt partition recovery stored by the OEM that built the original machine. It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Recovery-Manager-Blocked-After-Windows-10-Upgrade/td-p/5170752

What you would really need to do, is to erase the entire disk and restore your PC using something known as HP recovery media.

HP recovery media is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs. You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update". If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entry and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

  • HP Envy 700 - xt desktop: How can I stop recovery of training hard and switch to disk system?

Called Costco to get assistance from the technology with a desktop computer HP Envy. The tech asked me to do a system of hard drive recovery, even if I got recovery discs...

The computer screen showed 100% software installation of recovery in less than two hours and the machine came into fashion "deactivate the tower."

Problem: 'Disable lap' mode is still ongoing, and now it has been a full 6 hours and then some.

Question #1: Can the office be manually stop to stop the process without end 'disable on tour' without harming the computer?

Question #2: Guidance concerning such a judgment and then redo the system recovery once more, but this time with the recovery discs?

Theoretically, the hard drive by using Recovery Manager F11 recovery should produce the same results as the set of recovery disks.  The set of recovery disks will probably replace all and then give the factory settings.  The result should be the same, however, I don't see no harm to do so.  What did you do to try to get out if "turn on, turn off"?

On the thing to try before using the drive set - unplug the PC from the wall.  Press the power button, that would be turning on the PC if connected.  Hold button power in 30 seconds to a minute.  And then reconnect the power cord to back in and try to feed normally upward.

  • Envy TouchSmart d030xt 20: HP Recovery Manager blocked after upgrade Windows 10

Yesterday, after the upgrade my computer to Windows Recovery Manager 10 is now blocked. It wasn't like this until I upgraded. I have a feeling that the operating system may have changed my security settings. (For example, when I try to change something in my pictures folder, UAC pops up) Anyone know how can I get Win10 to unlock Recovery Manager?

OK, I found a solution. This is the certificate.

What you need to do is:

    1. open 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' in the file Explorer.

    2. right click on Rebecca.exe (recovery program) and click "copy."

    3. paste it on your desktop.

    4 unzip this download http://www.fluxbytes.com/software-releases/fileunsigner-v1-0/

    5. drag your copied version of Rebecca.exe on FileUnsigner.exe

    6. right click on Rebecca.exe on the desktop and click "copy."

    7. paste in 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' and say yes to replace the existing file.

    8. search "HP Recovery Manager", click on it and a prompt will come, click 'Yes' and it should open.

You can repeat this for other programs that are blocked. Basically, it removes the obsolete certificate which prevents opening in Windows 10.
