HP Envy 810-260na - no sound

Product name: 810-260na

Product number: G9C79EA #ABU

Windows 8.1, Beats Audio.

I just bought this desktop computer, but cannot get the sound to work.

I connected a 5.1 speaker set that works fine on another desktop.

I use the analog output 3 (orange, black, gray), not the S/PDIF as speakers do not have an optical connector.

However, the sound control panel shows speakers/headphones as "not connected" and it shows the digital output (S/PDIF) as the default device. I am not able to change this configuration.

Any help would be appreciated.

The speakers are Dell MMS 5650.

However, I stumbled upon a solution - I did an additional connection, namely the line of the pair of speakers on my monitor: it worked well, and in addition the other 5.1 speakers were suddenly detected! Then I was able to configure as a 7.1 configuration. Although not exactly what I designed, I am satisfied with this arrangement.

    Hi Mike,.

Consult this publication of the article.  A measure such as the graphics card that you referenced is long of 11.6 ".  You may need to choose an another 760 from NVIDIA.

I don't foresee a problem.  Your PC has a 600 Watt power supply.  Check that the power supply of your PC has a power PCI-E 8 connector pins and a connector to power PCI-E 6-pin.

If you are having problems, and then consider the information posted by HP below.  You may need to disable secure boot to get the card to work, but after that, you should be able to re-enable this feature.

  • HP ENVY 810-445qe: mSATA in HP ENVY 810qe

I just bought a HP ENVY 810-445qe with a 16 GB mSATA drive.  How do I know if it works correctly?  The startup time is somewhat less than a minute.

    Hello

The 16 GB mSATA is a data caching solution and it will be faster compared to using an SSD for the start.

Data caching with the motherboard in your PC could be performed by a service via hardware or software according to the question if this feature is enabled in the BIOS.  Usually the HP in the past has used a software service with W8 for the caching of data.

Try some boots and see if the issue changes.  If this isn't the case, then contact HP support. If you are still not satisfied with the boot time then return and exchange the PC within the 21-day return period.  After 21 days, it becomes a warranty issue.

Your PC has a chipset Z97.  My Z97 PC chipset which is fully configured with several hard drives and SSD boots much faster using an SSD, given all the bells and whistles that are enabled.  However, I can boot from a 7200 HD using Windows 8.1 in about 30 seconds and less than 15 seconds using an SSD.

  • HP Envy 15 t (G0T59AV): HP Envy laptop speaker poor sound quality (particularly acute) as the volume increases.

I had been without my HP Envy laptop a few weeks after he bricked on me and I had to send in for repair, and when I came back the sound quality seems to be noticeably worse than what I remember. The sound in general seems a little intestine initially, and it does not handle certain tones fine treble, producing shrill notes that almost seem like they're clipping or something, as if it's too much for the speaker to manage. The volume level refers to it - it's much worse at higher volumes, but its volumes, it should be able to manage, and has dealt in the past. 30 is basically normal, I'll hear parts of it start happening about 40 volume or so, 60 sounds evil, and 80 is almost inaudible.

My first suspect is the dustbin of Beats Audio with what they sent this thing.  He gave me problems before. I fiddled with the Beats Audio settings for a bit and couldn't find a lot of luck. The strange thing is, I searched Beats Audio driver updates, and I came to the top completely empty. All links to them were either broken, be directed to the page of HP support containing the drivers for the specific device model questioned. The driver for my laptop page shows nothing about the drivers of beats. And my device manager doesn't seem to show that no driver present Beats, either, even though I SWEAR there drivers for them in the past. The only present audio device is the Realtek HD Audio driver. The Beats Audio utility in the taskbar does not seem to think there is something wrong, however, so I don't know what's the case. Can someone help me?

(I know of no reason that the question I sent my laptop in for repair would be linked to this, nor do I have any reason to believe that the person who repaired the laptop could have done anything, as all my files on my HDD seem to have been completely intact, but just for the sake of rigour : A couple of weeks, apparently caused by me accidentally stick a 3.5 mm headphone jack into the adjacent USB and damaged brick my laptop. The computer, stop immediately, if she was able to start right back up. The next morning, it was completely insensitive and would not start until it was. I knew with certainty that it is the USB at the time, I thought that it was unlikely that a damaged USB port might cause a full brick computer, but when I got back from repair, the repair summary said that the only thing to do for she was replacing a USB port.  Other than the good question, my computer was working perfectly since.)

  • Upgrade Windows 7 to 8.1 Pro for HP Envy 810 - 145qe (J0X43AAR #ABA)

I just bought a HP Envy Phoenix 810-145qe which is preinstalled with Windows 7.  Specifically, I bought this system because it was faster than my old desktop processor and I could spend 24 GB memory to 32 gb that I did.

I went to the HP site and checked if this model has been tested by HP that came back had not been tested with Windows Pro 8.1.  Can someone tell me if I've stuck with Windows 7 on this new machine?  I really need to have Windows Pro 8.1 because I develop e-Learning programs that need to be tested in an environment Windows OS 8.1. Please notify.

    Hello

I don't see a problem with the installation of Windows Pro 8.1 on the 810-145 envy.  HP has released drivers for Windows 8.1. There is little difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows Pro 8.1.

    1. Check with the manufacturers of your application to make sure that you don't have a problem with Windows 8.1
    2. Run Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade assistant
    3. Don't forget to create the external HP recovery media.
    4. Back up your data and also download drivers HP Windows 8.1 posted on external media.
    5. Buy licensed Windows 8.1 and download Microsoft support.  The Microsoft download process will allow you to create a bootable USB flash drive or an optical medium.  I would recommend that you download the ISO support and then create the desired boot media.
    6. Follow these instructions from Microsoftto install Windows 8.1.

  • HP Envy 23 display: no sound: Macbook Pro (retina) with HP monitor

I just got a HP Envy 23 monitor to use with my Macbook Pro of retina and so far it has been a serious struggle. The problem, I'm focusing on today is healthy. The monitor has a headphones Jack Beats Audio. Headphones are connected but my Macbook claims 'the selected device has no exit controls' and there is no sound at all. The monitor and the laptop are connected via an HDMI cable. What is the problem? I don't want to return to the screen, but it seems that I could roll up to spend hundreds of dollars on cables and Adaptateures to find the right combination to get a clear picture and sound. Ugh.

Thank you for any help or advice.

Here is the manual for a HP ENVY 23 IPS monitor, which may be the one in question or just a similar but reading of the record, I believe that there can be no speakers.  By reading the description, it could lead the user to assume there are speakers: "HP ENVY 23 23 inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor with Beats Audio" but it must just be a thing of audio processing.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • TouchSmart ENVY 17-j140us: no sound for tv when you use HDMI to the computer

I just put my 10 year anniversary build Windows Update specifications 1607 an older version (build 14xx) and I can't get sound in my TV connected via HDMI. I installed the latest driver from the HP Web site. Audio driver does not work well. Here's a screenshot of my device manager:

    Thank you for your support

    Hello:

    See if it works...

Since the graphic driver works, let's not trifle with the actual graphic driver.

We need to install the Intel HD audio driver, which is why the audio does not work on the HDMI port and it is the HD audio device problem you see list.

First download and install this free utility file, as the file 2nd on page is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save but do not run the Intel graphics driver from the support page of your laptop.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp72370.exe

Once you have saved the graphic driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the driver in its file name (sp72370).

After that 7-Zip does its thing, go to Device Manager and click on the audio device problem HD in your screenshot.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should get audio and video HDMI port.

  • HP Envy Phoenix 810 - 170st: Startup Hp Envy 810 - 170st problem

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=bmpOezTOfPU

    Greetings,

My pc is having a serious problem to initialize. When I turn it to be closed, it will not display. The lights come on, but the graphics card is not set up to start the monitor. And the fan is running at its top speed. It will be either do it for about half a minute and close, or should I stop it manually. Usually, the next attempt to start, will show the power comes on for about 2 seconds and then right back off the coast. After that, he goes on, and then will begin a normal start procedure. The problem started a while after obtaining a SSD hard drive.  The SSD is used as primary Windows startup disk and 2 3 TB drives were used for storage.

The problem is very confused, as one of the 3 TB drives the windows main drive helped, but do not solve the problem. So, I can not link on the SSD drive, running the pc on ACHI vs sound original RAID, or if there is a real problem of power or the motherboard.

I have a box from looking at it, but this brings us to another problem. I don't have the pc in the configuration that was causing the most problems, because an associate of HP called me, said that if I sent all the additional parts, they would probably not returned. I could lose my extra HDs? And if I can't properly present the problem, is it possible that it can fail, and my machine is back with the same problems?

SSDS are sometimes a problem and I don't really understand it.  In the early days the cloning software was having a problem with the SSD drive.  Different manufacturers have problems with the motherboard controllers, etc.  Now, I assumed that the problems are more or less solved.  It could be in one of these areas, but check with the Samsung forums to explore options for this SSD model.

  • HP ENVY 810 Phoenix 293d: update BIOS for HP Phoenix 810 Mainboard (293d) with (MS-7826 (Kaili))

Hello. I need BIOS update for HP Phoenix 810 Mainboard (293d) with (MS-7826 (Kaili))

My current bios is dated to the 29.05.2014 80.21

You can try to extract the .exe for the files. Just more work but not a guarantee and it would even work. HP has made the bios updated mainly to run through the OS itself when updating. Or they would put the files to a USB stick as another choice. That's what I guess.

  • ENVY 17-j053ea: no sound on TV connected to the laptop via HDMI

When my laptop is connected to my TV via HDMI computer laptop if poster on the TV but the sound is played if the laptop speakers and not the TV.

I had this problem since I bought the laptop in October 2013, while she was running Windows 8, it is now running Windows 10, which actually has no difference.

I tried to update the drivers of graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740), Intel HD Graphics 4600 graphics card and speakers. If I'm in the playback devices, that the TV does not, even when it is set to display disabled and disconnected devices, but I do not know why.

I know that the problem is something to do with my laptop and not on cable TV or HDMI because it works with 2 other laptops in my house, and the TV is shown as an audio device on both.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

OK, this driver must have worked.

Just click on this folder 7-zip created because I want to show you where to find the driver.  We will now try to force the installation.

Click on the file and it will show several records.  Click the DisplayAudio folder.

Then, there are two folders inside this one.  Click on the top a list (6.16.00.3178).

Then click on the configuration file IntcDAud and you will see the driver for the hardware ID you have posted.

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2807 & SUBSYS_80860101.

    Close to this now.

Go to Device Manager and click again on the HD audio device.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select the browse my computer for driver again software option, but this time at the bottom of this window, select the let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.  Then click on disk and browse the right to this configuration information IntcDAud file and see if the driver will be installed in this way.

If this is the case, restart the PC.  If it is not, unfortunately, I have no idea why this driver not install because it must have worked using the first method.

But this lack of driver, that's why you have no audio from the HDMI out port.

I'm at my wits end! I searched on the web and this forum and tried every conceivable method to get things to work with no luck.

In Device Manager, I have the error this device cannot start. (Code 10). In playback devices, I have no option for my TV or HDMI devices, only speakers.

    Some of the things I've tried;

1 update the Windows ' a determind that my driver is up to date.

    2. start in safe mode, uninstall the device and driver installation (see above for the result)

3 using the update tool intel

    4. download the latest drivers from HP

I am so frustrated and angry with this. It shouldn't really be that hard. Is this a MS or HP problem?

    Help is appreciated.

    Hello:

Here's what I suggest you do...

The graphics not working, let's don't mess with the real display driver.

Download and install this free utility for files. The file 2nd on the list is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save, but do not run the graphics driver Intel W10 support page for your laptop.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp72370.exe

After you save the graphics driver, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the file in the driver folder (sp72370).

After 7-Zip created the folder, go to the Device Manager and click on the audio device Intel HDMI problem.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and I hope that the driver will be installed.

Then restart the PC and you should be good to go.
