HP Envy M6-1105dx: help of trade-in value?

Hello

First of all, I am a user of HP of LONG date and with the experience I've had so far, I would stay like that, although recently it seems very difficult to navigate in the website of hp for technical support sales etc.... None of them are linked together so if you go to the turnover and ask about a trade-in value they don't know and they don't know where you must go and ask to find the way. So I've owned say 4 laptop computers hp in the spent 8 years or less than the most recent being this m6-1105dx HP Envy with the quadcore AMD A - 10 8 GB ram ATI Radeon 7660 G etc etc etc. Well with all the new computer games that I really need to go to something much more powerful do not misunderstand that this puppy is always a beast! I need something in the sense of an i7 quad w / Nvidia so I wanted to know how much I could get for this laptop if possible trade if it's a total waste of time scam then I will be a little upset because I know its worth a couple hun, its in very good condition has bell and whistles of backlight keyboard etc. So I did some how find a section repeated here on HP, but its way out dated from what I saw. So could someone please help me get in touch wih a real human response? Thank you all! Be vigilant and G-bless!

Brent

Have you tried that?

OK, I tried to run to your laptop and you're right that it doesn't have the option to include your specifications. I ran it as much as I could and generated an offer of $45. It seems that it is not designed for a single consumer unit but for businesses that have many units to trade autour. Honestly, I don't think that HP has a program to accept the times of single unit.

For the record, the last two full portable computers 'new' condition as yours that sold on ebay were a little less than $300:

  • HP ENVY M6-1105dx: Synaptics Touchpad freezes briefly after typing

The touchpad of my HP Envy M6 1105dx hangs for several seconds after you type on the keyboard, each time. This problem started after I upgraded to windows 10. My drivers are up to date. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, but that has not worked. I would rather not reinstall windows if I didn't, so I decided to come here. All advice is appreciated.

Hey, I had the same problem and it's really frustrating.

Here's what I did to solve the problem, I hope it helps.

Open 'Control Panel' by clicking on search and enter the control panel.

Then, open "Synaptics Touchpad", it will have a version number after it I think. Mine did.

Then click Advanced in the upper tabs.

Then you should see that a "filter activation time" set it to zero seconds.

Test now by typing and then move the mouse and see if that fixes the problem... it's me.

  • Sound goes up and down in the HP Envy m6-1105dx laptop bat

    Yes, Hello.

I just bought a hp envy m6-1105dx (windows 8) yesterday and I was put in place, I realized that the volume of the music in winamp told fort suddenly and they went there. It happens with all the songs. I downloaded the new drivers but the problem is still there. I've read about this problem in other types of laptops want to, but I don't see anything about my portable individual. Any help will be appreciated. This problem is started to irritate me.
I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Yes, thanks for the help, but I found a solution that works for me, thanks to KGB999

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-PC-sound-and-audio-e-g-Windows-8/volume-swings-during-songs-with-beats-audio-enabled/m-p/2292249#M32895

If a lot, you have problems with you audio just follow these steps:

    Follow these steps:

    (1) press on [Windows] + [X] on your keyboard and go to Device Manager

    (2) go to the sound, video and game controllers

    3) click IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

    4) click on the driver tab

    5) click put updated driver

    (6) select Browse my computer for driver software

    (7) select Let me pick from a list of device driver on my computer

    (8) select it Audio device high definition

    (9) to read the warning and click Yes if you understand the risk

    (10) restart the computer

    When your computer restarts:

    1) click on the Control of the Volume (speaker) in the bottom right of the taskbar.

    2) click on speakers

    3) click on the enhancements tab

    (4) If you do not know a lot about audio and to help prevent speakers, earphones, ear lesions, click the Equalization of the volume and click settings, and then move the slider to 3/5-4/5 in the direction of Long, then click OK and apply

    5) enjoy its AWESOME.

BE CAREFUL, the sound of unlocked chip IDT is VERY STRONG, and based on my experience in audio engineering, I wouldn't recommend listening to it more 45% volume without the Equalization of the volume turned on.  I'm listening to a modern CD and without the limiter and compressor, 50% by volume, border level EAR ENDOMMAGEANT level on my helmet.  Also, without the pre-installed, limiter high volume CAN DAMAGE YOUR SPEAKERS.

A little bit of my solution:

This solution essentially replaces the IDT pilot with a Microsoft driver.  If you damage your laptop using, your warranty may does not cover repairs, so please, please, please use the limiter or prudent.  On the same note, don't damage you either; hearing loss is very difficult to self-diagnose, because you lose hearing gradually by the loss of sensitivity to higher frequencies.  It is not 'feel' special, just somehow, you notice that you stopped to hear the singing of the birds and leaves rustling a day, in order not to blow your music.

Finally, I'll probably revisit this solution some time, as I prefer to use the IDT pilot and have my EQ work.  This is possible through the IDT folder in Program Files and hacking essentially parameter files in a text editor, but it is rather tedious and complicated.

  • HP ENVY M6-1105DX hinges + DvD Drive to good work done?

Hello. I have some problems with my HP Envy m6-1105dx I received some time around Christmas 2012 from BestBuy. It has been a year of very pleasant to use, especially for games and social networks and other, and I was take care of it, ever since. I've never taken to anywhere outside of my home. I just leave it on a cool table where I can use it as a way to office everyday. However, all about the summer of last year, I noticed from my right hinge becomes very sensitive when closing it. So I thought that maybe I should close more slow the next time. After that around December 2013, the right hinge sprung loose on the right side, make some gaps between the right side of the hinge, on the side of the laptop screen and my monitor display 3 slim blue and purple lines, that irritate me.

After that, I sent my laptop to be inspected at first sight to a trustworty computer repair store I've visited when my old Office XP does not work. They were my only hope to the fixing of envy, because how my warranty expired around December of the same year, and someone in my house unfortunately threw the case and the reception I got from BestBuy. They mentioned how some companies use cheap adhesives and plastic to make new laptops. Above all, they took note of my DVD drive, which had a yellow bracelet that was not supposed to be as damaged as it seems. (I never really used the DVD player, since I already have music and videos on my phone). They charged me $30 for another review of the laptop inside, and if they found something seriously wrong with the laptop, they would charge me around $20 - $200 extra. At this time, I refused, looking for another way to fix. I tried to visit other repair shops and got the same answers, needing further inspections, etc.

I really need advice on what to do. I am only a teenager in high school, barely received any money to afford to repair. I have seen videos of YouTube on the repair of several screens of laptops Envy M-series, searched through the internet for several replacements, hinges, etc., screen or other repair shops. The thing is I'm not really confident in my ability to repair a laptop, and it feels like theres really nothing I can do.

My left hinge is at the point where its about to pop, and I'm starting to see good glue cheap ripping off the hinge, as if it was made in fact at a great price. I really need advice to find a way set these hinges and get my laptop back into shape.

Thank you for the time and I'm sorry if I wrote too.

  • HP Envy H8-1485ea help/tips

    Hi guys

Hope that fully, I put this in the right section.

I recently acquired an HP Envy H8 - 1485ea infographic Office due to a family bereavement.

He y astill has a bit of personal info on the computer so I intend to reformat the computer and perform a clean installation.

The computer has windows installed 8.1.

When I got the computer I had no paperwork or records with him so I thought that it is better to ask here before doing anything.

Research in the computer, it appears as a disk of semiconductor 15.2 GB which, in file Explorer is called restoration.

There is also a 2.7? TB disk divided into 3 partitions.

Now, I tell myself I just reformat the section of the disk that contains the program & let the SSD only.

How can I reinstall from the disc of solid state, this disc includes all drivers etc, I need.

Can someone point me to the docs etc. for this computer should they be stored on it already or are on the restore disc.

    Hope someone can help.

    At soon JPS71

Look on THIS page.  I think that's what you ask the subject.  That explains how to reset PC to factory State, and it will do what you said.  Scroll down to factory reset.

I know that the installation can be done, I just need to know if the drivers are from? or will support me the installation of windows 7 Home premium. 64 bit. I can't get an answer from HP support.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

    Hello:

Support pages are working again and all the W7 x 64 drivers for your PC are on the link below...

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-700-200-desktop-PC-series/5399651/model/6529884

Don't forget to make your set of recovery disks before installing windows 7, because once you do, the recovery partition very probably will not work any longer.  See this guide for how to do this.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733

In order to start from a DVD and to run Windows 7 on your PC, you must first change two settings of the BIOS.

Check out this guide for which parameters to change.

  • HP ENVY M6-1105dx - won't boot to the top

I had a HP ENVY M6 - A10 (1105dx) a year ago. The Laptopn worked well... I did not use for about a month I was away and when I put on there no start but a CAPS light kept flashing twice.so I did a recovery of BIOS by pressing Windows key + B and pressing the power button...

A week after the same problem... but this time when I go to the BIOS recovery... the machine does not start, but the CAPS LED begins to blikn once...

I'm a little helpless as to what to do with this...

Appreciate the Heads up on the people of this problem... !

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Vish_hp,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you are unable to boot up your laptop.

Bad news, if the Caps Lock flashes once, it is a failure of the CPU. Two flashes is a failure of the corruption of the BIOS, so you that dealt appropriately with the BIOS recovery. I see a previous post that you made on a fan failure which is very probably the catalyst to the problem.

Take a look at this document for more information on startup with flashing lights problems: computer does not start and the lights blink or computer beeps.

    Sorry for the bad news.

Bought my HP Envy in January 2015 and received this error message at start-up. Read all the suggestions here, but was afraid to try to remove the drivers on my own. Instead, I used the HP support chat service. HP technician took the screen control (with my permission) and does all the work while I watched. It was a rather technical and complex challenge that took about 15 minutes, including two reboots. When the computer restarts, the technology was already ready to continue once completed starting. He has solved the problem, waited patiently for a start more to make sure that the error message disappeared and then proposed to call me 1 hour to see if everything was still OK. Cannot recommend this service enough.  Surpisingly good service of HP. It's my first HP because I always heard bad things about their service, but their obviouly working on fixing it. Not sure if this service is available only if your computer is not in the warranty. Maybe for a fee, but still worth it.
