HP ENVY M6-1105DX hinges + DvD Drive to good work done?
Hello. I have some problems with my HP Envy m6-1105dx I received some time around Christmas 2012 from BestBuy. It has been a year of very pleasant to use, especially for games and social networks and other, and I was take care of it, ever since. I've never taken to anywhere outside of my home. I just leave it on a cool table where I can use it as a way to office everyday. However, all about the summer of last year, I noticed from my right hinge becomes very sensitive when closing it. So I thought that maybe I should close more slow the next time. After that around December 2013, the right hinge sprung loose on the right side, make some gaps between the right side of the hinge, on the side of the laptop screen and my monitor display 3 slim blue and purple lines, that irritate me.
After that, I sent my laptop to be inspected at first sight to a trustworty computer repair store I've visited when my old Office XP does not work. They were my only hope to the fixing of envy, because how my warranty expired around December of the same year, and someone in my house unfortunately threw the case and the reception I got from BestBuy. They mentioned how some companies use cheap adhesives and plastic to make new laptops. Above all, they took note of my DVD drive, which had a yellow bracelet that was not supposed to be as damaged as it seems. (I never really used the DVD player, since I already have music and videos on my phone). They charged me $30 for another review of the laptop inside, and if they found something seriously wrong with the laptop, they would charge me around $20 - $200 extra. At this time, I refused, looking for another way to fix. I tried to visit other repair shops and got the same answers, needing further inspections, etc.
I really need advice on what to do. I am only a teenager in high school, barely received any money to afford to repair. I have seen videos of YouTube on the repair of several screens of laptops Envy M-series, searched through the internet for several replacements, hinges, etc., screen or other repair shops. The thing is I'm not really confident in my ability to repair a laptop, and it feels like theres really nothing I can do.
My left hinge is at the point where its about to pop, and I'm starting to see good glue cheap ripping off the hinge, as if it was made in fact at a great price. I really need advice to find a way set these hinges and get my laptop back into shape.
Thank you for the time and I'm sorry if I wrote too.
Here are pictures of my desire to M6-1105dx status:

Portege R500 - CD/DVD drive no longer works
Does anyone found a resolution to this?
Like David, my DVD Multidrive on my R500 abruptly arrested recently - I can open/close the player, but he does not appear in Windows Explorer as a disk is valid. Do not think that I have nothing installed on the machine.
Interestingly, I never really use the DVD player. Indeed, because of all the * heat * questions, I used to "Power Off" of the device, via the DVD icon in the system tray (i.e. option enabled me to Power on / off the unit). So while the power was OFF, it's cold the machine, and so the fan was rarely on.
Now that my computer no longer recognizes the drive, this icon it simply shows that disabled, no possibility to the power on/off switch, and this noisy fan is almost always on. In addition, because it seems that the machine tries to recognize the drive subject time at startup, all re-start, reboot the machine now takes a few minutes to start...
For the optical drive firmware update help? Or is there some other fix?
Hello
> but my Portege R500 CD/DVD drive has stopped working the next day, I had attached an external CD - RW drive for me to burn discs. Maybe it did disable my built-in drive?
This could be the key;
Try to access the Device Manager and remove the CD/DVD player listed and all USB host controllers and USB root hub.Again, restart the laptop.
After new check restart if the CD/DVD drive has been recognized again. -

I assume that the reader has worked in the past with the same BIOS version
It is a drive hardware problem or some registry keys are corrupt.I think that it s a hardware malfunction may be a matter of lenses.
But try this;
Remove the drive from Device Manager and shut the laptop computer. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again. Then you can check the functionality.Otherwise, you can remove the disk from the laptop, and then start the laptop without the drive. Then stop the laptop, put the drive in the notebook and start over.
The firmware should again loads. But if these procedures help t, I don t see it differently as for replace the drive

For a new disk that should really be fixed/replaced under warranty.

I tried Mr. Fixit, and I still keep getting the same message again and again... It was working fine, less then a month ago.
Hello
19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.
Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
solves
the question.Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
below.Normally the above will solve this problem if not work your way down through them, even if you
done before.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

DVD drive no longer works Code 10 failure initialization
My computer is less than two years. It came with Vista.
The CD/DVD multi Recorder initially worked, but has stopped working.
Diagnosis say the drivers are up to date, but there is a problem with the device:
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM_GSA - H60N ATA.
I had not used a lot, so it should not really be worn.
My problem looks like the display by "Jackie", but I noticed that our device numbers are different.
