HP HDX 16 Flex show

My laptop is about 2 years old and I noticed during the first year that flex on it is quite low. (I changed the part until my warranty is out with bestbuy)

A year later, I have the same question \e once again, but worse. My laptop went to be very loose and the left side brackets at the base of the laptop is very loose (in fact, you can jiggle it).

In order for me to see the screen I'll have to play with it, up to a certain angle or hold in the the flex jiggly part.

I really don't know what to do if all \one has a solution please let me know.

PS please don't tell me to get a monitor or an external display >

When you say flex, I will assume that you have a hinge problem and it seems that the hinge (s) have let go where they screw on the base.

The base has brass in plastic inserts which hinges live in.

You will need to disassemble the camera yourself to find out what's going on for sure.

Here are some videos of the HP Media Services library, make sure you are connected before you click the link.

http://h20574.www2.HP.com/default.htm?lang=en&cc=us&hpappid=psml

It is a big job and it is not easy to get HDX series machines, so you can consider getting a local repair shop do it, don't send to HP.

The other problem is that the hinges can be very steep, there is an adjustment screw on each hinge where you can be part of the tension off so they do not work loose again.

Post again if you need help with the library or if you have other questions.

I also had a look at your other post and it seems that you need a new video cable as well. I suspect that if the hinge is broken or loose, it was heartbreaking the video cable beyond its limits and it has damaged.

  • FLEX - localhost began to appear in the browser but Network Monitor says otherwise

    Hello

    Today, I ran my FLEX application in FireFox and noticed that he was showing "transfer data to localhost...". "at the bottom of the browser. Originally, it would show my IP server, not localhost.

    I watched the network monitor and check that network traffic is NOT localhost, but my server IP address.

    Here are the screenshots to prove that I am only partially crazy! :

    localhost---problem.png

    ↑ This is the problem...

    localhost---problem-networkmonitor.png

    ^ Network Monitor shows that it hits the correct server IP here...

    This, everyone knows or knows why this is happening?

    I dug into the parameters of the project file and looked for localhost but couldn't find it anywhere. Not sure where that would be defined?

    I'm trying to clean up Firefox, which I think could be my problem, , but was curious to know if anyone has had their start of sudden app FLEX showing localhost calls in the browser status bar?

    Hi Devtron

    I bet that Flash Builder Network Monitor works exactly like charles webdebugger.

    What it does is to set up a proxy on localhost and game to configure the proxy server to your system, so all the traffic on your network goes on the proxy, and then the proxy is the inspection of data network. Then it would make sense that your browser displays localhost because data are extracted through this proxy.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry does not recognize the headset/Bluetooth headset

    I am posting this as a new message. I had earlier posted it as one 'response' to another post with a similar problem. I hope that it is acceptable (new Member of the Forum).

    My 8700 c won't recognize a headphone SoundPort Flex. The helmet worked perfectly until three days ago. My 8700 transfer calls to the headset correctly. The led at the upper right of the device will begin to blink blue. The screen of the device would show "call forwarding - busy," I would like to hear a "beep" in the headset, press the main button in the headset and I'd hear the person calling in the atrium. Same result if I put out the call. All of a sudden stopped the transfer process. I thought that I may have made a change by mistake in the Options but have not been able to figure out what I could have done wrong.

    My first thought was that it might be the helmet. I tried a headphone SoundPort Flex new, different and still no connection between the BB and headset.

    I followed the implementation of manual of BB. Here is what the screen shows when I implemented: "searching for devices. Search SoundPort Flex. Guest of the screen "enter the password for SoundPort Flex". I entered the password and click on the wheel. Hear "beep" in the headphones! Display shows "Devices paired like SoundPort Flex." Entry "Connect" screen displays "Waiting for SoundPort Flex." (The screen never changes and displays "Waiting... ("indefinitely.)

    By the end the other user in a similar message, under Options, my 8700 watch 'Discoverable' as selected.

    Bluetooth is turned "on".

    Under "Device properties", I selected "approved."

    The 8700 c (online) user manual reads: "Set if the paired Bluetooth compatible device can connect with your BlackBerry® device without asking confirmation." I don't find that Option on my device. Is the problem that the BB is ready to connect somehow manually?

    One last thing: within the "Bluetooh activated/paired devices/SoundPort Flex / properties of the device"-when I click on the knob to display "Device properties", I see that these items: name of the device (SoundPort Flex), trust (Yes), encryption (Enabled) control Echo (automatic). Below "automatic" on the screen is a horizontal line and below who are 'Services '. It is not accessible. But it lists 'Hands-free device' (twice) and then "helmet" (twice). None of these elements can scroll.

    I guess ill-informed, I accidentally turned on or off another Option that overcomes the connection between the BB and the headphones. Or maybe a software problem?

    Note: I just tried the whole process over again: removed the headphone SoundPort, disabled the Bluetooth then he allowed. I see the device right now, the corresponding LED flashes blue, the display shows "Waiting for Flex SoundPort, ' Flex SoundPort light flashes blue and, in the window"Bluetooth", active the" paired devices/SoundPort Flex shows BlackBerry as it is connected to the headset. " However, I've heard the "beep" as on the previous attempt to connect. And for control of voice mail, the phone works fine but still no transfer to the headset.

    Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you. Bret

  • Item Renderer display optimization

    I pretty basic line item converter displayed within a group of data, it is composed of a few labels and an icon. There a a few nested to display everything properly, but I it would not consider a layout that is complicated by all means.

    Whenever I have show a result set, 20 rows of data, it seems that stifles Flex showing makes it point. It takes about half a second from the moment where all makes them point have been created to actually draw on the screen and the Flex code that handles the drawing seems to hang, because everything on the screen freezes during this period of the second half. This blocking becomes an application rich very fluid display in a mess agitated as soon as the results are displayed.

    I went far away to make sure that none of my code blocks and I always give Flash Player the room he needs to breathe to maintain its rate setting, however I'm stuck with this display problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    At first glance, I count 1 BorderContainer, 7 groups and about 8-10 additional subclasses of UIComponent. That's a lot for an MXML itemRenderer past. The sad truth seems to be that MXML is just not effiecient, nor promote the design effiecient. It seems that Adobe has already abandoned MXML completely from his Mobile for pure AS3 envelopes, if it's no idea.

  • Modal alert waiting for the user, click

    Hello

    I used program InDesign plugins in C++. There are modal alert with YES/NO buttons, which stops execution until the user presses one of the buttons.

    Now to my question. I know that this alert does exist here in Flex. Flex shows alert and continues with the execution of the following code. I know that there is closeHandleFunction that I should use to deal with. ActionScript is the language of piloted by events and we should use ActionScript in this regard. So my question is perhaps more hypotetical. Is very bad idea to create this category MyAlert who wait in a loop up to push the button? You know, sometimes, it would be useful to have this alert.

    Thank you

    There is probably a better way to do this. I think that spring actionscipt provides tools to do such things, and it would be nice to be able to do it without tips...

    In any case, I was thinking about an alternative, something like this:

    private var i:int;

    private function lookForDisplayObjectsToRemove():void {
         for ( j:int = i ; i < whatEverYouIterateOn.lenght ; j++ ) {
              if ( /* condition to remove object here */ ) {
                   i = j;
                   var popUp:YourYesOrNoPopUp; // pop your yes or no alert here
                   popUp.displayObjectToRemove = whateverYouIterateOn[j];
                   popUp.functionOnYesClick = removeDisplayObject;
                   popUp.functionOnNoClick = lookForDisplayObjectsToRemove;
                   return;
              }
         }
    }

    private function removeDisplayObject( object:DisplayObject ):void {
         // remove object here
         lookForDisplayObjectsToRemove();
    }

  • [ASDoc] How to document the events?

    Hello!

    I am facing a problem and maybe you can help me.

    I have two doubts:

    (1) how can we document an event using ASDoc tool? I tried the @eventType documentation and used the event meta tag, but it does not include only the event on the Documentation.

    (2) when I type "addEventListener ("the Flex content assist popup with all avaiable in this class." What should I do to include my own custom on this wizard of content events? For example: I have a class named MyClass that distributes MyEvent. I would like it when I type 'addEventListener' on an instance of MyClass, the Flex show "MyEvent.CHANGE" on content Wizard.

  • How do I Center Align Alert.show () in flex

    Hi all

    I have a great Flex application that uses Alert.show () to display error/warning messages. This created problems when the error messages have been focused on the screen, but not visible when the screen is in a position of extreme scrolling (up or down). is it possible that I can display the alert in the center of the visible page of the user. I tried what follows, but did not work.

    var errorMsg:Alert = Alert.show("Error message");

    PopUpManager.centerPopUp(errorMsg);

    Thanks in advance.

    It depends on what the scroll.  centerPopUp() focuses on the scene.  If the step is larger than the display window and scrolls, you need to know about the viewport.  If the window is the browser, you might be able to get information about the viewport via ExternalInterface

    Are you sure that you run the mxml right? A few time to create a new also helps. Sometimes templates html (js files) are absent from this cause an error javascript and nothing to load. Usually, the own generation project done. If you right click on the generated swf file that shows?

  • Novice question: InDesign show bad UI Flex

    Hi, I'm little to Flex as well as this forum.

    I create a new project of Extension CS from scratch for InDesign CS5, it generates a display dummy for good original project but now I want to create the UI according to my condition so I'm editing this mxml file and adding new components instead of default components created by the default code generator but when I run the project it always shows the default UI instead of project that I modified.

    I am sure that I am ignorant of something and almost all extension CS programmers would have seen it pritty so could someone give me the right way?

    Thanks in advance

    Mac

    There is your problem.

    You must set the name of the swf file in the manifest.

    "Attach as" is available by right-clicking on your project.

    the code above shows opposite values from date to date axis it is to say it should show 01/05 2 / 05 / 3 / 05 4/05 but its display 10/05 09/05 08/05 07/05 on the date axis.

    Help, please.

    I saw this bug on Adobe's JIRA so nothing much you can do for now DateTimeAxis is quite bugged.

    In passing, is it me or mx:datavisu is on the low priority these days? Maybe the team working on a version of spark?

    https://bugs.Adobe.com/jira/browse/FLEXDMV-2231

  • OSMF in Flex: (autoPlay = false) does not show 1 Frame

    I create a mediaElement and mediaPlayer, mediaContainer exactly like in the osmf_dev_guide.pdf documentation. The only difference is that I addChild to a UIComponent since I am in Flex.

    mediaFactory = new DefaultMediaFactory();
    mediaElement = mediaFactory.createMediaElement (new URLResource (VIDEO_URL));

    mediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer();
    mediaPlayer.autoPlay = false;
    mediaPlayer.media = mediaElement;

    mediaContainer = new MediaContainer();
    mediaContainer.addMediaElement (mediaElement);

    myMxUiComp.addChild (mediaContainer);

    The problem is with the mediaPlayer in bold block. What I expect is a mediaPlayer paused with the first broadcast of the image. What I get is a videoPlayer suspended with a white/white frame (as if the mediaElement has not yet loaded in mediaPlayer).

    If I move the line of automatic game down to maybe make sure the mediaElement has loaded into the player, as then, it gets dropped and the video just autoplays and charges as if autoPlay = false is not there.

    mediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer();
    mediaPlayer.media = mediaElement;

    mediaPlayer.autoPlay = false;

    as if we did it:

    mediaPlayer = new MediaPlayer (mediaElement);

    mediaPlayer.autoPlay = false;

    I think sandwitching autoPlay = false in the Middle, as shown in the documentation, is the way to go, because I think that he made sure the player is suspended before the insertion of any media (before the mediaElement is assigned). But he would still get the first frame of the video showing, otherwise, it seems confusing to the user.

    Thank you

    David

    The autoPlay property is not retroactive, so if you set autoPlay after setting the MediaElement on the MediaPlayer, then he won't have an effect.

    The reason why you get the first image when loading of the fake video with autoPlay is OSMF adopts a cautious approach to the media loading.  If we were to show the first default image, then we trigger the download (for progressive video) or connect to the stream (for release).  In both cases, these actions could trigger "views false' on the side server, we have heard many clients is something to avoid.

    In addition, in many cases, the first frame of a video is uninteresting (e.g. no black background image), so it makes more sense to display a poster canned frame.  We experimented with some techniques to achieve this in our example application player example (see examples of "Poster frame" and "RTMP Poster Frame").  Demo is here, source is here.

    Finally, I would add that the behavior you're looking for is considered as desirable enough for the video Flex component (which is based on OSMF) that they have added native support.  So, you might also consider looking at their component (Flex 4) for video.
