HP Inisght Manager Diagnostics online
We run version 8.2 of the HP Inishgt Manager agents on our ESX host for hardware monitoring. I think that it is the same regardless of the version of the agent. I don't see anyway to run diagnostics from the SMH. It is an option with the default installation of the Windows agent.
My hypothesis is that HP agents would justify diagnostics are not included or do not exist for versions of ESX host. Is this true? No there is no way to run a diagnosis online on an ESX host?
When I unpacked the 8.2 agents for VMware at HP, I have seen no sign that anything beyond basic agents, SMH and ASM would be installed. A proposal, HP do not provide the features of 3.5 (no idea about 4) due to the older kernel, but you have to ask them, not me.

I completely uninstalled Intune to the machine, through registry and deleted all entries that will find there for Intune and Endpoint Protection.
The issue is that Intune installs successfully, but will fail to install all updates or endpoint protection. Initially, I removed the software because it has problems. In other cases, I've never had problems with uninstalling and reinstalling.
How I uninstalled:
From the console, I recused myself from the computer, whereas delete the software. I noticed that the deleted computer Intune EndPoint protection, so I had to manually remove the program from endpoint protection.

Failed to connect to catalog online Manager when OBIEE is SSO enabled

Single Sign-on is enabled successfully for OBIEE. Works very well.
But what connection to Catalog Manager in online mode, the following error message appears:

Published by: Frank Gjerde on January 20, 2009 10:59Frankly, you forgot an important set when you made your configuration of SSO. It is not well documented is not all your fault (it is mentioned about setting up authentication UNIQUE BI Publisher). :-)
What is happening is that Catalog Manager does not work in SSO so when he attempts to use/analytics /, it cannot pass any SSO details. So what you have to do is to deploy another analytical WAR file in your application server in a different root context. The documentation suggests that call you /analyticsSOAP/ instead of/analytical /. This Wep App require NOT all identifications, unlike /analytics/ which you have configured for PASS-THROUGH authentication. Once you do this, you can then use the App Wep non - SSO in Catalog Manager (i.e. server_name:port/analyticsSOAP/saw.dll). You can use the no - SSO Web App in the Task Manager and all plug-ins Office BI because they work either in SSO. Of course, this means that will need an account of RPD order for use as you cannot use PASS-THROUGH authentication.

If you choose for online backups rman, what a $ORACLE_HOME
Hello ladies.
I am rewriting our backup procedure. I learned that shortly the company will need the backups online (for the moment, we have the luxury of a backup of cold 03:00).
I would like to use rman, must justify the vultures/managers and why it is preferable to managed user online backup. Managed backup of said user would put the db in backup, then instant mode the registrants concerned.
The only problem I see with rman to date is that (so I read it) the utility won't save the binary / configuration files - that is to say the $ORACLE_HOME.
Is this true? If so, the corner of rman falls a point. Does anyone out there use rman for onlines? If so, how do you take care of your $ORACLE_HOME? I was thinking a user managed weekly export or something like that.
Seriously, I would start again using rman.

HP Insight Manager WEBEM credentials
We are transition from ESX to ESXi. We use HP Insight Manager and were previously loading in the Service of HP Management Agents Console.
Without the Service Console, you install vendors HP and WEBEM CIM is used. I have attached an image where the credentials are configured for WEBEM. I have it works correctly using credentials from the root.
(1) can I use another user (with limited permissions) to add an ESXi host to HP Inisght Manager?
(2) the permissions of this user would need?
(3) with ESX, we used the certificates to establish a relationship of trust between HP Systems Insight Manager and the System Management Homepage. Can you create this certificate of trust with an ESXi host now that the SMH no longer exists?

ReadOnly cannot satisfy all wbem operations. Note Wbem operations are either intrinsic (internal to CIM object manipulation) or extrinsic (a cycle of food through wbem), or an update of the software from wbem. Admin privleges are always required for the latter. That's why read only is not enough all your needs, in case you need manage aspects of end-to-end of the HP System...

VMware provides a KB with suggestions to minimize SCSI reservation conflicts when you use HP Management Agents KB1004771
He proposed essentially that you exclude (cmahost and cmahostd cmafcad) in the cma.conf file.
I noticed once that these agents are excluded, they no more all display the same information in Insight Manager. I guess it's because of these exclusions (see before fixation). The product name and the name of the OS is no longer to get detailed information.
(1) can someone tell me if it is precisely because I am excluding these agents?
(2) what agent exclusion is the cause?
(3) does the only thing affected by the exclusion of these agents?
I would have preferred the front but if it's only these 2 problems of information display, I can live with that to reduce conflicts of SCSI reservation but, I assure you it is not something that I'm not immediately noticed.

Never experienced it myself.
Texiwill - about your answer to 3 below, can you elaborate on "host control tools? The main reason that we load the HP Management Agents on our ESX host is to monitor and alert on hardware failures with HP Inisght Manager. If the deactivation of these agents, such as suggested by VMware, prevents alerts Inisight Manager, these agents become unnecessary.
Well you'll always get notified on NIC issues and a few others cut you most of the notifications, but VMware has its own tools as well. cmahostd is a fairly important piece of the software, but you should get the other articles in HPSIM. Yet, I have to disable cmahostd at all.
(3) does the only thing affected by the exclusion of these agents? Well he neutralizes most host followed by HP tools.
I let them active. I had never had a problem and I like everything to appear in HP SIM. It gives better followed than the VMware tools at the present time.

Hello I have a PERC 6 / i integrated controller. One of the disks had a yellow flashing with an error message on the screen Dell R710 of error 1810. I took the down server reinstall the drive is now flashing a green light. The problem is with Dell Open manage still see the disk that belongs to a RAID 5 as foreign?
Using Dell Diagnostics online shows everything as working properly?
I will not be able to restart and check the controller BIOS for awhile. Here again, I am reluctant to change anything to be sure that there really is a problem.

You'll need to do is to clear the log of material in open manage. You will also need to clear the foreign configuration of this drive that reconnect. This is done, then you leave the drive rebuild. Once the reconstruction is completed any disc should show also ready & optimal.

Inspiron 15 HLDS +-RW GU90N drive failing?
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 15-3521 system 64-bit Intel Core i3 @1.90 ghz and 6.00 GB RAM running Windows 8.1 home edition. In the last three days I was able to get my cd/DVD RW drive actually write or even format all media. My drive reads CDs and DVDs very well without a single problem. If I insert a CD or a blank DVD, it recognizes that the disc is empty, but when I try to write to the disk, the action will not end. I tried to burn audio data and no work. My camera is shown as working properly in device without conflict Manager.
When I try to drag and drop files to burn, I get this message:
"The drive did burn successfully. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your CD writer or DVD installed and then try again"
ImgBurn just gives several clerical errors in his diary and stops trying to write.
So far, I have:
Run Microsoft Troubleshooter - hardware changes were made, but the problem persists
Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers
Checked for new driver - best driver is already installed (cdrom.sys)
Run start diagnosis - no error
Run Dell Diagnostics online - all tests passed
Tried to burn in Safe Mode - can't burn
Restored to a point where the disc worked - can't burn
Gone through the troubleshooting of Osprey Kit - can't burn
Attempt to update the firmware, but Hitachi-LG does not all updates date of firmware (or firmware at all) for their readers GU90N
checked with NeroInfotool - drive drive shows that green and ready to use
In a last ditch effort, I went ahead and reset my phone, but the problem is still there. I do not understand how each diagnosis said the drive is properly preforming, but it's not. This disc is a failure in some way odd, undetectable?

raebridgeosprey4OK, same brand does not mean the same disks. Though Maxell and Sony are generally pretty good. But you burned these specific discs with success? Can you think of any recent changes to the system?
Yes, I have. I was in the middle of four audio disc burning when my burner stopped burning. I had not made any changes to my system or didn't I installed all the programs. At the time with burning discs with MediaMonkey. It burned very well and between a disk and the other, that it was not. I had a stack of 20 blank Maxell discs and each of them went through, but the burner doesn't burn. I tried the DVD - RW Sony next (eight of them) and not burn or the other.
Looks in time for a new drive.

XPS L501X no internet connectivity
Hi all.
I can't connect to internet either through a WiFi connection or ethernet on my XPS L501X 64 bit running Windows 7. This problem occurred suddenly after a microsoft update failed. The Action Center lists a number of problems including;
Host process for Windows Services. Windows Update installation problem
Microsoft Malware Protection utility command line (3)... Telemetry MP
Microsoft Management Console... Stopped working
Network Diagnostics Framework (4)... Impossible to diagnose and repair problems
Windows Wireless Lan 802.11 Extensibility infrastructure... Stopped working
I can copy the technical details on Notepad and send them if it would be useful to determine the problem and find a solution.
Of course, no connection internet, I have been unable to report the problem, find solutions or run diagnostics online and use another laptop to connect.
I downloaded and installed the latest driver and nothing helped (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000) WiFi adapter. I used the Wizard update Intel thingy which uninstalled the old adapter and installed a new. I have not updated the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller driver, but when I click on update driver, it indicates the the latest driver is installed. All devices are listed as working properly.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Start, Control Panel, Device Manager, right click on Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000 BGN, on the left, click on uninstall. Tell him to remove the drivers and software.

Webcam of XPS L702X simply stop going out no where
The last time I started my computer (this morning) the webcam worked very well (I use Fast Access software to connect). This afternoon, the white light indicating that the device did not come, and the camera doesn't send any image to any program. All I get is a black screen, although all programs seem to think that the camera works. The camera appears in the Manager of devices without any problem. I made the Dell diagnostics online and it reported no problems with the camera (so diagnostics - Dell worthless) and of course it is still does not work.
Someone has AN idea? I took good care of this laptop and camera is used only very moderately (for boot and Web site connection, but no video chat session). If there is indication of Dell 'quality', it will absolutely be my last Dell. Of course, I'm out of warranty, so...

Windows 8 problem with wireless network adapter
I had a lot of trouble to stay connected to the internet with my college wireless network on
my laptop Windows 8. Especially when my computer is endearing to load a large number of data, the connection becomes limited and stops working. I use the resolution of problems and there's always the wireless adapter, which always solve the problem. This problem will not occur on the unsecured network comments from school or home. 100% Windows compatible 8.1. Check with the manufacturer of your system (motherboard support

Adding Actions corrective OEM12cR5
Hello
I'm moving all my targets, jobs, etc OEM12cR2 to R5, and found problems on two instances where the add action button is not enabled.
The two instance are in the same server, but I have others on a similar server with the same version of oracle and it works very well.
I can't find what could be. Other OEM12cR2 works perfectly.
Please, help to solve this problem, thank you!
