Dell Diagnostics online

I was running the Dell diagnostics online on a remote desktop connection. About a minute after the start of diagnosis, it filled the entire screen.

I immediately stopped the machine and restarted. Everything seemed normal, and I'm running a deep analysis of virus right now.

I did a reverse image google search and got similar results.

I did this same process on other computers and have never had this kind of result. Has anyone else seen something similar?

    Dell laptops computers have various diagnostic tools available. Those listed here are those most appropriate to help separate hardware of software audio problems. A few other Dell diagnostic tools are not included here because they use Windows and related audio driver to test the audio, and so they cannot separate hardware issues problems with the software.

    l. the pre-boot (PSA or ePSA) testing

    It is a set of diagnostics based on ROM, residing in a BIOS chip on the motherboard. The function audio main tests to tell you whether your speakers are working or not. In a case where there is no sound from the speakers, but there is no audio through the headphone jack, you can use the test to determine whether or not the speakers are dead.

    > Re-start the computer and press the F12 key as soon as it begins to initialize. If the computer starts Windows, restart the computer and try again.

    > Select "Diagnostics" in the start menu, and then press the Enter key. The ePSA or PSA tests will be open - it depends on the model of your laptop.

    > Locate an Audio "Make Quick Check" button on the bottom right of the screen to menu main ePSA (see screen capture below). Press the button and listen to the Speaker beeps.

    > If you do not have the "Make Quick Check" Audio button then this. Start the PSA tests, and when he runs the test of the colors it will ask you if you see the color bars on the screen. Deliberately fail the test by not answering any (press key "n") instead of Yes. When you do this the PSA test emits a series of beeps. Listen to the beeps.

    It is a set of diagnostics to include with all new Dell laptops. He resided in a 32-bit of the hard drive partition, where the name. Reference includes Dell is no longer with the laptops.     6 If you do not hear the music during the test, it certainly means that there is somewhere a hardware failure in the system.

    7. If you hear the audio during the test, but not when you start in Windows, which almost always * means that the material is correct, but there is a problem with the audio driver or Windows.

    8. error codes: If you answer "no" questions that ask test, test generates an error code which can indicate a technician that you answered 'no' to this question. The test usually does not pinpoit the exact component that went wrong. Before you answer "no" to a question, take note of the circumstances at that time here so that you know in general what is the error code.

    Error Code 1 B 63:061 B - user indicates a failure
    Error Code 1 B B 22:061 - analog sound playback - user indicates a failure
    Error Code 1 B 22:111 B - audio playback of Mono output
    Error code: 1 B 63:181 B - user indicated that they have not heard the expected result
    Error code: 1 B 22:071 B - the user's response indicated a failure (external mic test)
    Error Code 1 B 63:0268 - Codec could not generate interrupt
    Error code: 1 B 63:0667 - Codec could not generate an interruption of the game

    Exception

    There is a situation where the test will pass even if there is a hardware problem. In a case where there is no sound from the speakers, but there is no audio through the headphone jack, the impedance of the headphone detection mechanism may have failed. Dell 32-bit Diagnostics does not test this specific failure and will pass the audio material. The Headphone Jack of FAQ has more details about it.

    The new Dell laptops do not have the Dell 32-bit diagnostic tool. An alternative is to restore the computer to the configuration factory of origin.     LV. compare drivers

    If you don't have a Dell 32-bit Diagnostics, a no definitive test is to compare the audio driver from the manufacturer and the driver audio Windows native. If you have the same symptoms with two drivers, there is a strong suspicion that the problem is caused by the material.

  • HP Inisght Manager Diagnostics online

    We run version 8.2 of the HP Inishgt Manager agents on our ESX host for hardware monitoring. I think that it is the same regardless of the version of the agent. I don't see anyway to run diagnostics from the SMH. It is an option with the default installation of the Windows agent.

    My hypothesis is that HP agents would justify diagnostics are not included or do not exist for versions of ESX host. Is this true? No there is no way to run a diagnosis online on an ESX host?

    When I unpacked the 8.2 agents for VMware at HP, I have seen no sign that anything beyond basic agents, SMH and ASM would be installed.  A proposal, HP do not provide the features of 3.5 (no idea about 4) due to the older kernel, but you have to ask them, not me.

  • PowerEdge 840 Dell diagnostics on HDD utilities, even on the cd?

    When the PowerEdge 840 Server starts, you can press F10 for "Mode Utility" which charge a diagnostic tool which seems to be a score of 57 pre-created MB. We also got the CD with the server, 'diagnosis and service systems","Drivers and utilities", etc.

    These CDs contain the same on that pre-installed diags utility on the hard drive? In other words, can I just wipe all of your hard drive and install linux instead, and when necessary, run the diagnostics from the CD? (although I suppose that by pressing F10 doesn't work then). Or should I keep this partition with utilities.

    There is also a 2.2 GB empty partition. Which is necessary as well? For example the utility from the 57 MB partition should the other 2.2 GB partition for temporary files, or something?

  • Dell Inspiron 3537, few problems

    Hello.

    I have an old Dell Inspiron 3537 of a few weeks. Was first Win8, but I have the update Win8.1.

    After that I signed up for laptop computer, the next step was to my C: partition on both sides of the partition, partition C (OS) and D (Data). After that, I installed successfully all the programs I need. And after a few days problems began with a few BSoD. There are few problems and I'll explain all of them.

    My Dell checkup "troubleshooting blue screen" reports every day one or more BSoD with explanation:
    "The unknown hit-and-run driver (C:Windows/system32/drivers/atikmdag.sys) seems to have caused a system crash. Perform the tasks below to help prevent unexpected stops in the future".

    On the same health check of my Dell, I try to run "PC Checkup", and everything seems OK, no reported problem. A personalized analysis on a single card, ATI (ATI Radeon HD8850) video and the result is 'passed '.
    I run also build in DELL diagnostics (boot menu) and there were no errors, and also Dell diagnostics online and everything was fine.

    I try to install the new driver from DELL (AMD Radeon HD 8850 M pilot 13.151.0.0) website, but during the installation screen blinked several times and then went away. I think it's OK because the video driver installed. I left phone for an hour to "complete installation", but noting happened. I turned off laptop by pressing ON / OFF button for 5 seconds, but after this laptop won't restart. Here, I noticed another problem that I will share with you in the moment. Fortunately, I have installed Acronis True Image 2014 so I was able to restore a system. BTW, same version of the driver is already installed according to the "MSINFO32).

    Now, my system works, I still see the BSoD warning in my Dell Checkup, but actually I don't really see this BSoD. Strange.
    If I click with the right button on the desktop and then click on "Property Graphics" or "Configure switchable graphics", I get this warning:

    Second problem. My laptop during "BLACKOUT" explained beforehand, I tried to use Windows Recovery. I tried "Refresh" and "Resettlement" and both times I got the message:

    "Could not find the recovery environment. "Insert the recovery media or your Windows installation and restart your PC with the media.

    If I try to use "Backup and recovery of Dell", I received the message:

    "Dell backup / restore could not detect the Partition Recovery on this computer." It may be missing or damaged. To recover your computer to the original factory condition and restore the recovery partition, please use your system recovery disk"etc. etc...

    I don't have any coz discs that OS was preinstaled. So, basically I can't use all the facilities to recover my laptop because I have no media or recovery factory recovery disc. Fortunately, I'm using Acronis, but it's not a point. I want something to recover my original system, factory condition.

    In fact, Windows catering facilities are OK and I can restore to a point, I created.

    BTW, my hard drive is partitioned on 7 partitions. Initially, there were 6 partitions with immense C: partition. I shared this one on two.

    And also, since this BSoD is probably caused by the video driver, how can I safely to update this driver. As explained previously, I had after the first test disaster. Can I try to install the new driver for AMD Radeon HD 8850 M from the ATI site?

    Hello I have a PERC 6 / i integrated controller. One of the disks had a yellow flashing with an error message on the screen Dell R710 of error 1810. I took the down server reinstall the drive is now flashing a green light. The problem is with Dell Open manage still see the disk that belongs to a RAID 5 as foreign?

    Using Dell Diagnostics online shows everything as working properly?

    I will not be able to restart and check the controller BIOS for awhile. Here again, I am reluctant to change anything to be sure that there really is a problem.

    You'll need to do is to clear the log of material in open manage.  You will also need to clear the foreign configuration of this drive that reconnect.  This is done, then you leave the drive rebuild.  Once the reconstruction is completed any disc should show also ready & optimal.

  • Inspiron 15 HLDS +-RW GU90N drive failing?

    Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 15-3521 system 64-bit Intel Core i3 @1.90 ghz and 6.00 GB RAM running Windows 8.1 home edition. In the last three days I was able to get my cd/DVD RW drive actually write or even format all media. My drive reads CDs and DVDs very well without a single problem. If I insert a CD or a blank DVD, it recognizes that the disc is empty, but when I try to write to the disk, the action will not end. I tried to burn audio data and no work. My camera is shown as working properly in device without conflict Manager.

    When I try to drag and drop files to burn, I get this message:

    "The drive did burn successfully. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your CD writer or DVD installed and then try again"

    ImgBurn just gives several clerical errors in his diary and stops trying to write.

    So far, I have:

    Run Microsoft Troubleshooter - hardware changes were made, but the problem persists

    Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers

    Checked for new driver - best driver is already installed (cdrom.sys)

    Run start diagnosis - no error

    Run Dell Diagnostics online - all tests passed

    Tried to burn in Safe Mode - can't burn

    Restored to a point where the disc worked - can't burn

    Gone through the troubleshooting of Osprey Kit - can't burn

    Attempt to update the firmware, but Hitachi-LG does not all updates date of firmware (or firmware at all) for their readers GU90N

    checked with NeroInfotool - drive drive shows that green and ready to use

    In a last ditch effort, I went ahead and reset my phone, but the problem is still there. I do not understand how each diagnosis said the drive is properly preforming, but it's not. This disc is a failure in some way odd, undetectable?

    OK, same brand does not mean the same disks. Though Maxell and Sony are generally pretty good. But you burned these specific discs with success? Can you think of any recent changes to the system?

    Yes, I have. I was in the middle of four audio disc burning when my burner stopped burning. I had not made any changes to my system or didn't I installed all the programs. At the time with burning discs with MediaMonkey.  It burned very well and between a disk and the other, that it was not. I had a stack of 20 blank Maxell discs and each of them went through, but the burner doesn't burn. I tried the DVD - RW Sony next (eight of them) and not burn or the other.

    Looks in time for a new drive.

  • Webcam of XPS L702X simply stop going out no where

    The last time I started my computer (this morning) the webcam worked very well (I use Fast Access software to connect).  This afternoon, the white light indicating that the device did not come, and the camera doesn't send any image to any program.  All I get is a black screen, although all programs seem to think that the camera works.  The camera appears in the Manager of devices without any problem.  I made the Dell diagnostics online and it reported no problems with the camera (so diagnostics - Dell worthless) and of course it is still does not work.

    Someone has AN idea?  I took good care of this laptop and camera is used only very moderately (for boot and Web site connection, but no video chat session).  If there is indication of Dell 'quality', it will absolutely be my last Dell.  Of course, I'm out of warranty, so...

    I suspect that the webcam came off, at the top of the screen, next to the webcam. This is when you open the laptop often.

  • Impossible to get Dell PC Diagnostics to run

    System details: Dell Inspiron 15R (no touch) less than 3 months; Windows 8, 64-bit; IntelCore i3-3227u 1.90 Ghz, 6 GB ram, 450 GB hd; added to install software: Bitdefender Internet Security 2013, 2013 Office, Chrome (28.0.1500.72 m), Trillian, ICQ, PDF-Viewer, IE 10, Brother printer utilities.

    Problems with a graphics accelerator blue screen and tried to run Dell Diagnostics PC online (by PC-Doctor) to try to diagnose the problem, but cannot enforce. Select the type of scan (have tried all), accept the license agreement, click 'Yes' to run Dell system to detect and BOOM, download super random and vague error: "a problem has been detected, please try again" (extra space before the comma typo Dell).

    Have tried this via Chrome and IE. Have tried this after disabling antivirus and firewall. Nada.

    Any suggestions?

    In case it helps, the original problem is a blue screen in recent weeks, saying something like "Intel graphics accelerator display drivers for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding and has recovered," which freezes the laptop, requiring a hard reboot. It seems to happen pretty regularly now, often when I'm in the middle of working on a Word document with a bunch of open tabs in Chrome and Bitdefender, commercial brother and Trillian running in the background.

    Try resetting your Internet Explorer settings, also if you install Dell system detects, right click on the .exe file and run as administrator.

  • No sound on Dell Latitude D520

    Dell Latitude D520 was in a good condition, a few weeks ago, regarding the sound and programming settings, functioned at that time here. Microsoft strongly reccomends that you stop the installation of this software now and contact the provider of material for software that has passed Windows Logo test. "The sales associate told me that my problem was a change in the sound for some reason or another settings. In the hope that the previous owner might be able to give me some instructions on what changes have been made so that I could directly where to go and what kind of changes, I do, I failed in my attempt to get ANY useful information like that either, because he says he brought no change, so the sound should work. Although it is most certainly not!
