  My HP Photosmart C4150 all-in-One printer/scanner/copier will SCANNER is no longer.  I uninstalled the printer in the hope of re - install and fix the problem, but now I can't re-install.  He tells me I'm the operating system (Windows Vista - 64 bit OS) is not compatible.
  I remember that I kept getting error messages when Microsoft Updates running on my computer and I followed some "fix" for the error to go away in a few months.  I think I should have done something to mess up my driver?

  1 did you change your computer, after which the issue started?
  2. are you connected to a domain?
  3. have you downloaded the correct driver version?

  I would recommend that you download the correct driver (Vista 64-bit) from this link and check if that helps.

THE NEXT DAY I TRIED TO PRINT SOMETHING AND I WENT BACK TO SQUARE ONE. The SCREEN LIITLE ON THE PRINT JOB CAME AND SAID THAT the PRINTER does NOT PRINT. I WENT TO THE HP SOLUTION CENTER AND A NOTE SAID THAT THE PRINTER IS DISCONNECTED. I RETURNED AND COPIED MY NETWORK CONFIG. AND THE WIRELESS TEST. EVERYTHING IS RUNNING WELL HUNG OF THE PRINTER. THE DEFAULT PRINTER IN THE RIGHT IMAGE. THE ONLY THING I NOTICED WAS IN THE PORT AREA. UNDER THE WINDOW VISTA, I GOT TWO PORTS. ONE WAS FOR THE PRINTER AND OTHER FAX. WHEN THE HP PRINTER HAS BEEN REINSTALLED, I DON'T KNOW IF IT STARTED WITH ONLY ONE PORT. THE PORT IS ENABLED BY IT AND HAS THE FAX FROM WORD TO THE END ON WINDOWS VISTA, BOTH PORTS HAVE THE SAME INFORMATION, EXCEPT A EU FAX OF WORD AT THE END ANY HELP ON WHAT SE PAST.

  I JUST INSTALL WINDOW 7, MY OFFICEJET J4680 ALL IN ONE PRINTER. NOW IT WON'T PRINT. THE DAY BEFORE, IT WORKED.

  I hope to help you with my suggestions for the problem you are having with the scanning function with your Deskjet F2480. I really don't know what could happen with what you have explained, perhaps the software has been modified in some way.

  Nevertheless, try to run the installation again to ensure that the full feature is installed, which includes the scanning software.

  Click on this link, to choose what operating system you have, click drivers and download the software. When it is finished, start the installation and follow the on screen instructions ended and the printer is installed completely.

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the uninstall_L4 (exe or Bat)

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  Thank you for your concern. I contacted HP through a chat session and received the information below to try to remove and reinstall. Well so far it seems to work. If someone else is having a similar problem, they should at least try this method.

  Here are the steps to manually uninstall.

  (1) unplug the printer from the computer or network.

  2) click on the Windows button on the computer.
  
  (3) type folder in the box and press ENTER to open it.
  
  (4) locate and click 7zs2b7.tmp file to open it, if not, check for any file starting with 7z.

  (5) open this folder and then find the Util folder and open it.
  
  6) double-click the CCC folder to open it.
  
  (7) double click on Uninstall_L3
  
  NOTE: For 64-bit, the uninstall file will look like and Uninstall_L3_64 for 32 bit, it will be Uninstall_L3

  Now, restart the computer and reinstall the driver software of all the features by using the link below.

  Windows7 does not recognize the newly installed software & more like another package: "HPPhotosmartEssentials.msi", which he says he can't find.

  Instruction was also found on the HP Web site: "Locate & install the .msi file is missing file in the Temp of your computer folder", but there is no msi file in the Temp folder (download goes to the downloads folder).

  Please response ASAP - I cannot USE MY PHOTOSMART2575 MORE scanning DOCUMENTS and have lost DAYS on this - making circles in the round...

  Sorry to say your advice has not solved my problem - but received a phone call the week last of Henry of HP at Gateshead (n. of England) support.

  After 4 hours or more (he missed his lunch...!) firmly on the phone and computer being "picked up" remote, it has removed HP all THE files on my computer (HP Mini) and then reloaded OLD original software for 2575 with updates,... Finally got all-in-one scan with the HP Mini success - so big thanks to Henry at Gateshead for his help there... :-)
