HP LaserJet 1022n

Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit all patched up.

I applied this patch: http://i48.tinypic.com/fvvbyd.png

edited the post to include inline image:

and now it keep printing a page one page document or test until cancellation. The printer is connected via TCP/IP and was working fine before this update. This happens on several different computers on 64 bit W7 Pro SP1. I applied this update of firmware http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18... but it did not help. The computers that did not have that update stil printed as expected.

You can try to disable the bidirectional communication with the printer:

In "Devices and printers", make right click on HP 1022n, select "Printer properties", under the "Ports" tab, just below the list, it is "Enable bidirectional communication" checkbox and uncheck the BOX...

I heard that it was effective in some cases similar to yours.  Good luck!

  • "Laserjet 1022n Windows Update", causing problems printing: print jobs do not print

    Hello

A few days ago I installed upgrading Windows Laserjet 1022n on my Windows 7 64 bit and since then I can not print a page normally: the page does not print. I use a TCP/IP network port.

I made several attempts to resolve this problem:

-uninstall the printer driver and install it again (I tried the latest version on the HP site and an older one that worked perfectly before)

-update the firmware of the printer to the latest version on the HP site.

When I put the printer in pause and start the print job, you can see in the list. Resumption of the printer, printing starts on the printer but you see that the job remains in the list, flashes again and again. The printer keeps printing the same page.

I don't know what I can do to solve this problem. There is no way to uninstall the update of the HP Laserjet 1022n software because it does not appear in the list of installed programs (course list is also op updates from windows updates).

I have same problem printing to the same printer from another PC Windows 7 (with the same windows update done)

But I have no problem printing with my laptop on an other network printers.

Is there someone who has the same problem and how to solve?

    Thank you for answer

I found the solution on this site: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/59912-29-1022n-printer-stop-printing

Just uncheck the chekbox "enable two-way communication" on the "Ports" tab of the properties of the printer and it works normally again!

  • LaserJet 1022n printer (spooler Services) question

Whenever I try to print, I get an error message that the spooler sirvice does not work. I use the troubleshooting to fix the spooler, but he won't stay fixed. My print screen won't let me choose the printer, it's a LaserJet 1022n.

Can you please try the following:

    (1) Press Win + r (run the window will open)

    (2) type "services.msc" and press ENTER.

    (3) in the window that opens, locate the "Print spooler" service

    (4) make a right click on the "Print spooler" service and select 'Start Service'.

If the spooler service was stopped, then this should help solve the problem.

  • Windows 7 x 64 Laserjet 1022N printing issues

Background:  I have three computers connected via a cable network on a LaserJet 1022N.  The computers are running on a domain.  Users have a user access to the computer.  All computers are new and under Windows 7 x 64 with the latest updates applied.  All of these computers have the same problem. A Windows 7 x 32 attached to the computer even works well.

Problem: When the computers send a print job to the printer, it continually back at work until the job is removed from the queue and the printer is restarted.  If I send a copy out a test page.  It does not matter which application is printing.  We tested with Word, Excel and Acrobat Reader.  It does not matter the length of the document sent to the printer.  We treid a documents as well as multi-page documents page.

Have you tried to uncheck the option "Enable bidirectional support" in the port real estate 1022N tab.

  • HP LaserJet 1022n cold reset 0.0.0.0

Performed a cold reset on a HP LaserJet 1022n, with a static IP that is already assigned.

    Bed config page IP 0.0.0.0

    Config-Manual

I can not connect to the printer to manage the Web

I think that the best bet now is to update fw on the printer.   You will need to connect to the printer via a USB cable to do the update for your network connection does not work correctly.   Here a link to the fw update.

That should bring your printer to update or delete the question.  Give it a try.

    Hello

What is the exact error code or error message?

The HP LaserJet 1022n printer is compatible with Windows 7.

    Hi @phlump,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to print from Internet Explorer 11 to your HP LaserJet 1022n printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that you are able to print from other applications. While this question would be better suited for Microsoft, I can make some suggestions. If these solutions do not help, please contact Microsoft.

Reset Internet Explorer settings (backup your Favorites):

You can reset the Internet Explorer settings to return to the State they were when Internet Explorer has been installed on your PC. This can be useful to solve the problems that could be caused by some settings changed after installation. Reset Internet Explorer is not reversible, and all the previous settings are lost after reset.

  • LaserJet 1022n pilot Wireless does not work for Windows 8

I am just checking that the 64-bit of Windows 8 for the 1022n driver will work for wireless printing. I have been unable to operate and I noticed that the pilot says that it is for basic printing. Does that mean he does not support wireless, and if yes then when they will fix it. Anyone know?

I'm sorry you have a problem with wireless printing. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.

The BASE DRIVER means that you will not be able to SCAN and other features with the software. You can print only.

It seems that this printer doesn't have the feature wireless without (external optional accessories). The Laserjet 1022NW printer, had the wireless feature, but you will need to connect to this printer via USB cable.

'"Click the WHITE STAR if you want to say thank YOU" '

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Laserjet 1022n, 1022nw printers shared cannot print

    Hello.

We have a number of these printers shared on a Windows Server 2003 server for Windows XP clients.

We use Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 on certain print servers and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 on the other.

Some of them work, but some refuse to work. You will get the first page to print, and then print queue will be for more claim to be printing, when it is not. Restarting the spooler service will reset things. I can't what is different between those who work and those who are not, well on the same network, it seems that no 1022 will work at all. I've tried three different Windows 2003 servers, and they all fail.

Printer drivers that I use are the last leave the HP website, and I have firmware updated printers also.

    I use a Standard HP TCP/IP port.

I found that they seem to print correctly if shared on a Windows 2000 Server, but it doesn't really help me.

Can anyone suggest anything please? We have been obliged to the coil of a number of them out of Windows 2000, but this should be temporary.

    Thank you very much

    Paul.

    Hi Rick.

I spent some time on this investigation via google but also experiment with the drivers, and it seems that if you be wrapped this printer from a Windows 2003 server and that you have the latest MS patches, then you can print only if you have administrative privileges on the server. It does not matter at the end of the workstation. However, it seems that some of our printers are not affected, and I can't believe that users who continue to print well have administrative privileges on the server.

Anyway, there is a simple solution to this - use the Laserjet III of the original distribution of XP driver. This driver appears to print very well to the 1022.

However, it would be nice if HP has acknowledged the problem somewhere and eventually created new drivers. I see no evidence of this on the internet.

Hope that this workaround works for you.

  • LaserJet 1022 upgrade

    Hello

I have a HP LaserJet 1022 that I love, it is a great printer and it does its job very well.

I wish the 1022n but at the time (quite a few years guaranteed to run out in 2008!) it was not available in local stores so I just got the 1022 version.

Now, I would have my printer on the network - I don't want a separate print server I would very much like an integrated solution, so I was wondering if I can improve my current printer. I found a "HP LASERJET 1022N NETWORK VERSION MAIN FORMATTER BOARD' on eBay and I was wondering if this can be used to upgrade my printer? There is a small stopper plate on the back where the network port would go. Alturnativly is there a kit I can buy at HP? I don't want to buy a new printer because it would be just a waste - my printer is already perfect for me apart from the lack of networking.

    Thank you

    -Andrew.

Incase someone else is interested in this, I just switched the Board in my printer and it works perfectly as a LaserJet 1022n.

    Here's the advice I bought:

The seller is very friendly and helpful.
