HP LaserJet 3030 on Windows 7 64 bit

I had to reformat my computer and now when I plug in my HP LaserJet 3030 this does not work. HP Universal driver automatically installed and the driver HP 3030 PCL5. If I try to print, the document is sent to the queue with a status of printing. The printer is in its state of readiness. The unit is not able scan. What should I do?

No tearing of the registry is necessary.  To clean the printer drivers everything you need to do is go to devices and printers, select a printer, click Server properties on the toolbar, and click the tab drivers.  From there, highlight and delete all the drivers and the corresponding software you like.  Drivers must be removed from all printer objects until they can be removed.

My apologies, the 3030 is not a software package on Win7x64.  All you can download and install are UPDs.  Scanner drivers are either integrated into Win7 or can be requested through MS. updates  You may not be able to get all of the devices connected, installed in the Device Manager, but the printer and scanner should at least work.

Like I said once you have the printer object installed in Device Manager, then you must make sure that the priner in devices and printers object is set to a USB port.  You can find this information in the printer properties > Ports when right click on your printer from devices and printers.

PCL. XL error messages are associated with the printer PCL6 driver.  You can stop these error messages by migrating to PCL5 or Postscript.

  • Print with HP LaserJet 3030 from Windows XP to a Windows & Pro

We have a HP LaserJet 3030, we put on a Pro in Windows 7 64 bit computer.  We are able to access this computer from all Windows 7 machines on our network.  We are trying to gain access to this our Windows XP Pro (32 bit), which is on our network.  Although Windows XP can find the hp 3030, it me does not install the drivers, so that I can use this printer to the XP machine.  Any help will be appreciated.

  • To access the HP LaserJet 1320 on Windows 7 64 bit computer

I just replaced a desktop computer with a 64-bit Windows 7 computer and attached our HP 1320 laser printer via the USB port.  Windows 7 automatically configure.  The Win7 machine is connected to a local network with a 32-bit Windows XP Thinkpad.  Now, I can't reach the Thinkpad laser printer.  It is said the 'server is not the correct printer driver' but I can't find any way to update the server or the Thinkpad with a print driver.

Reading these forums, it seems that I should have a 32-bit printer driver on Win7 64-bit computer.  Links to the center of Windows 7 compatibility to the HP support site, which says that there is no HP drivers for the HP 1320 for a 32-bit computer or a 64-bit Windows 7.

How can I get the additional required driver and should be on the Win 7 machine (where the printer is connected) or on the Thinkpad?  I used to be able to print correctly from the Thinkpad.

Thank you, thank you.  With a location for the universal print driver, I was able to solve the problem.  Let me rephrase the question as well as others who may have the same problem can also solve their problem.

Problem: replaced XP with Win 7 64 bit desktop desktop.  HP 1320 printer connected to this desktop computer.  Win 7 Desktop connected via LAN to XP Thinkpad.  ThinkPad could use the printer connected to the HP 1320 network when the Office was an XP machine and could not use it when the Office was replaced by Win 7 64 bit desktop.  Win 7 has automatically added HP 1320 to the Win 7 machine using the universal printer PCL5 driver.

In an attempt to 'add printer' to the Thinkpad XP, I kept getting an error message "server does not have the correct printer driver" and I had no luck successfully install a print server (Win 7) driver.

I tried all the solutions proposed in this thread, of which most have a link to the site of HP print driver.  This HP site says there is no print drivers Windows 7 for HP 1320, because it is automatically recognized by Win 7 without special drivers.

    Resolution:

Follow the link provided by "smittychat" (above) that gives a Universal Print Driver PCL 5 fixed for XP and 64-bit and 32-bit Windows 7.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=4157320&locale=en_US&TaskID=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=503548

I first tried to install the Windows 7 32-bit printer driver on new Win 7 desktop.  It does not work.  (don't forget, the error message, said the print Server driver is not correct)  Then I used the same link and moved to the Thinkpad, installation of the XP version of the Universal Print Driver PCL5 series.  I received an error message, but the installation worked.  I can now print with all the features (two sides printing, etc.) both the Windows 7 Desktop (printing locally) and the Thinkpad XP (printing via the local network).  Thank you "smittychat".  It took me a week.

Hewlett-Packard is expected to change its pilot site so that verification of drivers Windows 7 points for the universal printer HP 1320 driver link.

  • HP Color LaserJet CP2025 in Windows 7 64 - bit... installed, does not print

HP Color LaserJet CP2025 / Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I went through all of the steps outlined on the HP website (has not used the CD of the product, plugged in USB, allow to find the Windows Update driver: the last HP Color LaserJect CP2020 Series PCL6 for 64 - bit indicates in the printer server properties) Windows Fix - it says printer is no problem, only one of the four diagnostic tools/wizards that HP actually provides support this printer (1 out of 4... really!) and only one tool that It is very well... when he's not.

When I send a job to the HP printer, it does nothing. No job/queue printing is created (the queue is empty... always). So far, a terrible experience... not support for Windows 7 in the basic installation, then any support for this printer HP by HP diagnostic tools. A complete skin... I'm about to go back to Amazon to refund and enter the negative feedback to warn everyone who could expect the support of Windows 7 now and certainly support by HP of the diagnostic tools and of the "wizards" for a real product, HP.

Someone out there has a similar problem and more important still, a real solution.

I've tried everything that (before), but I tried again... and not luck. So, I gave up trying with USB and figured out how to use direct Ethernet to my PC. There is no instructions with the printer on it good... seems they are focusing on the use in a LAN environment against a small home/office network. But it works now. Thanks for trying.

  • Color Laserjet 4500 on Windows 7-64 bit > share with XP - 32 bit > need additional 32-bit Drivers

    Here is the configuration:

Desktop: Windows 7 Professional - 64-bit with Color Laserjet 4500, connected shared, and work very well. The driver name is HP Color LaserJet 4500 PCL 5.

Laptop: Windows XP Professional - 32-bit.

No network problem. Laptop sees the printer, but cannot connect without the correct drivers installed additional 32 - bit on the desktop. The drivers only I could find are listed here. When I try to add under host print properties/sharing/additional drivers, none of the .inf files downloaded are accepted.

Since Windows 7 installed a 64-bit driver perfectly well, there must be a compatible 32-bit driver cab be added to allow the XP laptop for you to connect to this printer - but I was not able to find it!

For any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

    Rob

    I got to work:

I copied the extracted driver files (with the file updated the hpbf231i.inf) to the laptop client XP.

I used "Add a printer" on the laptop, installed as a network printer, stressed the shared printer and when you are prompted, pointed to the file hpbf231i.inf on the laptop.

What time, eat enemies! But it works!

  • HP LaserJet 1018 on Windows 7 / 32 bit: printer will not print

My HP LaserJet 1018, running off my Acer laptop with Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, stopped working without known reason.

I did the following to try to resolve the problem:

    * Check the cables and connections. These work, I think. Shoes printer green light.

    * I deleted the spoooler of local print.

    * I tried the troubleshooting feature.

    * I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer with the HP disk.

    * I rebooted the computer and the printer several times.

    * I have updated the latest version of the software on the HP site.

None of the above seems to work.

When I open a document and select print, it says that the printer is ready (Green Tick).

However, it does not print even if the printer is connected and the green light on the printer itself is a steady green.

When I check the icon of the printer on the bottom of my screen, it says that there are no print jobs in the queue.

My last resort is now going through a new cable or call a computer scientist on the spot. I work for myself and really don't want to bear the cost.

    Any suggestions? Advice?

    Thank you!

Thanks a lot 8lives for getting back to me.

I managed to solve the problem in the last hour or two.

    That's what I did:

    * Cable USB purchased and attached

    * In the Windows devices and printers, I chose to remove the HP printer

In the programs I uninstalled a PDF printer at random, I found

In programs, I uninstalled the HP printer and enabled the computer restarts

To restart the computer, the computer recognized and installed an HP printer and USB port without putting me the drive back in, and the printer worked.

That may help a user in the future.

But thanks again for your response, it is appreciated.

  • updated drivers for the LaserJet M1217nfw for Windows 8 (64-bit)

    Hello

Currently, the printer is working and running wireless.  However, I did not do anything other that let Windows 8 recognize it during the initial installation.

I notice that my ReadirisPro 12 software does not recognize the printer (scanner).

I guess that means that the printer drivers must be updated.  Which file should I download and how can I do to install - for example, my printer needs to be connected via USB or can it be done wireless?

    Thank you

  • HP LaserJet 3030 all-in-One printer range

    Hello, I m having trouble with a connected USB printer all-in-one HP LaserJet 3030 with Windows 7 x 64.

The drivers I found on the use of the isn´t site support and drivers HP good at all and it does not work to install via windows update, simply said: failed! Every time. The printer is really slow, can't sweep in more than one document at a time to the computer. It takes 30 seconds between each page print if there is more than one page to print.

Is this bad printer with windows7, because it worked fine with my old PC which had XP... If it is bad with W7, is there a similar printer that you prefer that I should buy, simple, USB, copy, scan, print.

    Thank you!

I recently bought a Dell laptop which has MS Windows 7 64-bit OS and I have an old Dell Desktop 4400 w/Windows XP I have a HP Laserjet 5000 printer is connected to the LPT1 Port.  I have the shared printer, and I can connect with my other laptop that has the MS Vista operating system.  I can't get my laptop which has Windows 7 connect and I have tried everything I can think. I connected to my laptop with Windows 7 and downloaded the latest driver on the HP Web Site.  The drivers for the LJ5000 are called universal drivers.  The drivers are installed on my W7 system and then I'll start/devices and printers and "Add a printer" option.  I select the 'look' in the network option and Windows looking for the shared Prnter and considers it.  I select the printer and it starts looking for the driver.  I think he's looking on the computer where the printer is connect anyway, it cannot find the driver.  I get a dialog box that says it cannot find and gives me the ability to navigate.  I then go to the universal driver I downloaded for HP5000 and I'm going to the folder that contains the files ".inf".  The program tells me it can't find the driver for HP5000.  What I am doing wrong?  Windows 7 supports the HP Laserjet 5000 printer.  I hope of course because I can afford to buy a new 11 "x 17" printer. "  There, can someone help me?  Thank you.

Try the following: on the Windows 7 machine go devices and printers folder, add a printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, then click Windows Update, and then select the appropriate driver.

    Hello

Is the printer connected to your PC by USB or network?

Using the USB connection, you can scan using Windows Fax and Scan software built into your operating system.

Scanning over a network connection unfortunately supported on Windows7 32 bit only, as you can find listed in the section about network scanning below:

  • LaserJet 5 M and Windows 7 64 bit - duplex problem

I have a Laserjet 5 M Postscript with a duplex printing unit in my home network.

Windows 7 64-bit, the duplex printing option is not displayed.

    1. I reinstalled the driver - cool from MS
    2. I manually changed the ' properties/device settings' to indicate the duplex unit is "installed".   I have administrator privileges.
    3. I rebooted the machine.

However, under preferences - or for actual printing, under available - possibility of double-sided printing is not displayed.

  • HP LaserJet M1217 Wireless Installation on HPG60 Windows 7 64-bit issues with no error message.

I tried to install a new HP LaserJet M1217 with a wireless connection to my PC (HP G60 with operating system Windows 7 64-bit).  I spent many hours trying to a simple task.  I have not in all instructions and options slowly and kept my concentration without success.  I have the method wireless attempt, the method of USB, the method of attached CD-Rom and downloaded from the HP website.  Always without success.

I followed the instructions of troubleshooting and always without success.

I currently have a HP LaserJet P1102's wireless installed.  It works perfectly.  I have a wireless HP7280 all-in-one printer installed prior to my purchase of a new M1217.  I uninstalled the software of HP7280 before my attempt to install the new M1217.

I don't have any type of error except the computer would stop downloading for all options except the web download procedure.  The web left me hanging with no next steps after being downloaded.

I'm exahusted after several hours of attempted an installation.  I can get the M1217 print when it is attached to my PC via the USB port.  How can I get to print and scan wireless?

Thanks for your suggestion.  I had already downloaded the PDF file and followed the instructions without success.

I received a diagnosis of the HP media card and I was able to complete the installation.
