HP Laserjet MFP M12fn: M12fn MFP

A radical change in the print quality (which became so light that I can barely read it)... after a power failure power during printing.  Top sharp sound is heard when printing each page.  I tried to replace the toner cartridge, but the results are the same.  There is no paper jam.  Thanks for your help.  MacBook pro... 10.9.5 OSX

Welcome @brotherdon,

Thank you for your participation in the forums! I see that you have problems with the printer makes a noise and the print quality is not readable. You have changed the toner and have the same results. I'd love to help you.

Please try the following to see if he can help: fixing poor print quality.

Do you get sound with two tonics?

Check imaging on the toner drum to make sure there isn't any toner on it and nothing underneath that shouldn't be. If the blade is hanging down, it may be the problem causing the noise.

Feel free to click on the 'accept as Solution' and 'thumbs '.

Like others who have posted here, I have been unable to get the printer software to complete the installation. The printer is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn, 3 months. I'm trying to install the software on a new workstation HP Z240 performing Windows 10 (64-bit). The connection is via USB cable. The printer and the software have been previously used with a Windows 7 machine without problem.

I tried, repeatedly, to install the software from the disc supplied with the printer and also a 126.6 mb download HP Color LaserJet MFP printer M477 Pro series full software and drivers. I think I understood the question, 10 windows installs its own driver, and the installation program expects the hp driver to install.

DO this FOR THE HP INSTALLER PROCESS (when the percentage meter goes)

    1. go into the Device Manager and find the printer in the list of devices

    2. right click on the printer and select "Update Driver software"

    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

    4. choose "Let Me pick one...» »

    5. Select the named driver: HP Color LaserJet MFP M477 PCL-6 Pro (make sure it's one with a dash between the pcl and 6!)

    6. click next and back to the installation of hp box and must now see the printer and continue the installation.

  • Color LaserJet MFP Pro 277dw: MFP will print but not scan since update Mac OS 10.10.5

I had used my LaserJet MFP Pro wireless without problem for several years, with the Mavericks and Yosemite.  A few weeks ago a "update" the printer system is invisible.  After several hours of troubleshooting and to try five or six corrections, I finally got the printer online by using the IP address.

My computers, however (a performer of the Mavericks and a Yosemite running), do not see the scanner.  It's not a question of adding - they do not to add it.  By HP support, I have reset the system print and tried to start over.  I downloaded HP Easy Print (or Easy Start or whatever), which is the entire site of support in the way of software for the 277dw of the ACM.  The software through me the entire upward and congratulated himself for a job well done, but my printer was not, in fact, related.  He appeared in the printers Control Panel, but would not print.  Just "connecting to printer" in the queue for ten minutes about until what I called off work.  And the scanner does not yet show in the Image Capture, preview or HP Easy Scan.

So, I went back to my previous fix for the printer, use the IP address.  Any ideas on how to get the scanner appears?

    Hello

Restart your router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds.

Once it is fully up and you have internet access on your Mac reboot both the HP printer and the Mac.

From system preferences, select Printers and scanners and click on the plus sign to add the printer again.

Can you now ee he listed as Hello type or not?

  • LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro: Easy Scan

    Hello

I installed Easy Scan for my LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro on my iMac with OSX 10.11.1 and it worked fine until recently. I have not installed anything else or changed anything either, but when I run the program of the scan window does not appear and the program title bar is grey. Clicking on it will make the menus work and I can see the name of material, but even to open a new session of analysis does not show the real program window.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you very much

I'm responding to and mark my own post as solved.

The solution was simple and as always, was not a problem with the system as much as the operator...

Somehow the corresponding window opened onto a second screen-deleting now. So I couldn't see it. Muppet.

  • HP laserjet MFP M125a pro: m125a

Hello, I just bought a printer hp laserjet MFP M125a pro yesterday and during printing a document of 30 pages, I noticed the steam that comes out of the printer and the fumes forming. I have that it is quite normal on cheap laser printers that don't have a fan built in red (I assume that this printer has not), but again, this is not a cheap device. I'll try to get a new high of paper and see if it is still "steam". Does anyone have this problem with this printer?

    Thank you

    Bogdan Preda

    Hi @PredaBogdan,

According to me, there is nothing to worry.

HP has tested the performance of this product extensively, and this moisture is part of the normal operation of the product. The steam occurs because moisture condenses in the output area until the internal temperature reaches a level at which occurs without condensation.

    Thank you.

  • LaserJet MFP M125nw Pro: #2 cannot install LaserJet MFP M125nw Pro because of the error "the system cannot find the file specified."

    Hello

I struggled in the last 2 days to install my new all in one Pro LaserJet MFP M125nw. I tried almost all the stuff Google and this community offered under the heading "the system cannot find specified file", without success. My frustration is huge because I'm not really a novice when it comes to solve similar problems.

Here is what I do and what is happening:

I downloaded the latest version of the complete software for XP HP offers through their Web site. I tried to install the drivers through the install wizzard, then manually (used for the files in the folder 7ZXXX in the directrory temp) but no matter what I do, I get the same error again and again. In fact XP recognizes the printer and the scanner, it installs even drivers for the scanner and it works but after maybe 50 attempts in different ways, XP couldn't install the printer driver.

  • HP LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro: I need a free scanner software for management.

My all-in-one printer-scanner is HP LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro.  I need a software that will manage the scan function.  I don't know what these programs are called to a category, but what they do is:

    1. save my settings,

2 tell the scanner if I want to do an overview of the control program to display,

3 Let me drag a border to select the section of the preview I want scanned.

4 tell the scanner to scan,

    5. display the scanned image or document,

6 ask if I have another page in the same document,

    7. save the image or document where I want, with a name I go,

    8. save images in different formats,

9 save documents in the .docx format, .tif and a few other formats.

    10. documents of OCR.

My operating system is Windows 10.  A free program that makes the most of these things would be great, but if you recommend a program that is not free, I'll buy it if I can't find a free good.

Can anyone recommend such a program?

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you use a USB connection between your computer and the printer please unplug this cable now.

Source published by my colleague X-23.

If the problem persists, you can try the solution proposed in the thread below.

    (1) open the command prompt window by clicking on the Start > applications > Windows system > guest.

    Type: net stop spooler

    Enter: net start spooler
    Type: exit

    2) open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86

NOTE: any % is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; It is set when the OS is installed.  Most systems are like this C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86

    (3) in the w32x86 folder, there will be other folders and files.  Delete everything inside, but DO NOT remove the w32x86 folder.

    4) restart the computer - perform clean boot in Windows 10 / 8 / 7

  • LaserJet MFP M277dw Pro: Windows installs its own printer driver after failure of wireless printer, print

It is a problem really bizzare, I will try to explain as clearly as possible what happened:

    • I have 277dw LaserJet MFP Pro, which is connected to my PC via wireless network. I installed the drivers from HP and everything worked as a watch movement - printing and scanning.
    • Yesterday, the power is out for about 30 minutes. Computer stayed on thanks to UPS, but the printer power loss.
    • Once the power was restored to the printer, printer initialized and I was able to access his page of HTTP status without problems. All the parameters of the printer has persisted. Same IP address. Printer all self-tests pass. However, I have lost the ability to print (printer shows more as an option in the print dialog boxes). Scanner works as usual, save the scan to a network folder.
    • The State of device HP icon has disappeared from the taskbar.
    • A bunch of new entries titled "NPIF7BB8E (MP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw)" appears in the Device Manager. This 'new' device appears in the Device Manager 5 times under different categories of devices (see attached screenshot). In the Event Viewer, I discovered that Windows installed for this device right when the power has been restored to the printer.
    • Under control panel-> hardware and sound-> devices and printers, all devices installed by HP are grayed out and their status is not connected.
    • Restarting the computer does not resolve this issue.

Anyone have any ideas on what is happening here? It's the second time this has happened - I was able to fix the first time by reinstalling the printer drivers. However, I don't want to have to do every time the failure. This looks like a bug in Windows or the drivers.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Most likely your operating system is set to automatically install the drivers, when the lost connection the WPS driver build has been added.

Try these steps and check if that helps:

    1. In Control Panel, select network and Internet.
    2. Open the network and sharing Center.
    3. Search your active network profile, it appears just below the name of the network (for example Private Network, work network)
    4. The side pane select change advanced sharing settings.

  • LaserJet MFP M177 PCLmS Pro: live wireless

We have a team who have several of the LaserJet MFP M177 PCLmS Pro.  As you would expect, whenever we use a USB connection with these printers that a new driver is installed for each printer.  I was wondering if I would need to install a different driver for each printer on the direct use wireless?  Or a driver will work on any printer that I am connected directly to?

    Thank you

    Welcome @ilibao,

Thank you for your participation in the forums!  I see that you would like to know if you need to install a different driver for direct using wireless. I'd love to help you.

You don't need to install a driver separated for use of live wireless.

The HP Wireless Printing Direct allows you to print from your mobile device wirelessly on a HP wireless product active live without connection to a network or the Internet.

Use HP Direct wireless to print wireless from the following devices:

    ● iPhone, iPad or iTouch with Apple's AirPrint or HP ePrint mobile app
Mobile devices ● to run Android, iOS, or Symbian using HP ePrint home & Biz
    ● any computer compatible with any operating system wireless.

I have as much manual with more information about using wireless Direct on page 32 of the printer: LaserJet Pro MFP M177.

Feel free to click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'Thumbs Up' If this helped. Please let me know the results. Best regards
