HP LP3065 30 "LCD problems

I use my HP LP3065 30 "LCD for about 6 months without problem. A few weeks ago, the screen went black for about 10 seconds, then came back. Since then, he has begun to do this more often. Now, when I first put it, the screen is black for about 10 to 90 seconds before the image appears. During the minutes then 10 or more, the screen will randomly go black for about 10 to 90 seconds, then come back. After about 10 minutes of this, stop the strange behavior and I can use the monitor indefinitely (at least 5 hours) without any other problems. I'm afraid that if I do nothing, eventually the monitor will just stay black all the time.

When the screen goes black, the display backlight remains lit. Sometimes, the power led remains green, sometimes the LED becomes orange. A couple of times I've seen the light power off, although the backlight of the monitor was. Power cycling the monitor or the selection of entries does not help.

I tried different cables DVI, DVI monitor different ports and different DVI ports on my video card. My card is a Nvidia GTX275 and the resolution I use is the native of 2560 x 1600. I took the temperature of the GPU and graphics card isn't overheating. The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I've checked that I have the latest video drivers for my card.

I don't have another monitor to try, still less that I could try at the same resolution. The symptoms, my best guess is that the monitor is at fault. I bought the monitor of bhphotovideo.com on March 23, 2010. I guess it's still under warranty? Unfortunately, I have more the box for the monitor, which makes navigation more difficult. Given that I do not have another monitor, ideally I buy a new HP LP3065, place the old in the new box and return so that I can be a refund. Is this possible?

Where shall I begin my process of return? Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?

Your monitor should be covered by the warranty.

Have you noticed a few problems with the native resolution of the poster?
It makes sense when you use non-native resolution LCD will be somewhat different.
So if the image is perfect with a native resolution, everything is OK.

If you did own option of recovery installation Win7 will be gone and you will not be able to install HDD recovery again.

  • Portege A200 screen goes very dark then works correctly

Hi, a customer has appealed to a Toshiba A200 protégé (PP415-006002) with lighting LCD problems.

It happened a few times, first time we thought it was a setting, so we gave him back...
Second time we disassembled the laptop and found nothing wrong with it, then put it back together, then it worked
THIRD TIME! : back, ran 3DMARK to stress out the graphics card could not darken.

Now no matter what I try to do, I can't do the lcd screen to darken, but whenever we give back the laptop to the customer, he always comes back with the same problem
Can anyone help me that the customer starts to become a little resless.

If go you into Hibernation mode or suspend, then go back to Windows, the backlight turns back?

Maybe the inverter needs a cleaning or replacement.

  • Tecra M3: black screen on startup, the vertical lines on the external monitor

    Hi all

I searched a lot on the Internet for a solution to this specific problem, I have, but did not find a thread
with exactly the same problem. I have a Toshiba Tecra M3 with Windows XP SP 3. Two weeks ago, I encountered problems with the commissioning. After a couple of times to restart it would work. Then it became worse... When I try to run I see no splash... the screen remains black. If I press the power button, I hear the fan and CD player but no screen. It is totally black. I know its working because I can go (blindly) in the installation program. Press end, and then press Y and enter. The computer will restart but still no screen.

I plugged it to an external monitor. Pressing Fn and F5 allows switching. The external monitor shows different
vertical lines in multiple colors. They change if I go to settings or you try to start windows.

Does anyone have a solution to these problems?

I have fear of solution can be given by the service only.
In my view, this question must be tested properly.

I can't say for sure, but to me that sounds like a technical question. Without testing you will know for sure what is the problem.
Here on the forum we can only speculate why this happen.

As you can see on notebooka? s LCD problem. On external it doesnâ? t properly work as well. It may be a faulty graphics card.
Try to contact the nearest authorized Toshiba service and speak with the technician.

  • Satellite A105-S1712 - what parts can be upgraded?

    Nice day

I have a Satellite A105-S1712 and trying to figure out what parts to this topic are extensible - other than the RAM and hard drive. I'm not afraid to take part, as I've done for a LCD problem.

Outside the possibility of upgrade of the laptop, I was also wondering if anyone out there has experienced a problem of overheating and loss of WiFi connection?

Thanks in advance to those who can offer advice.

  • Satellite M30-801: CPU only works with a 600 MhZ

Hi people, I have a strange problem since my PC back to toshiba support (lcd problem, on assistance report i red that the pcb has been replaced): my CPU goes up to 600 MhZ. I tried to update the version of the bios from 1.20 to 1.70 successfully and I have restored the default value believing it could be a related problem of bios , but nothing changes.

The problem is present in a new installation of Windows XP (from recovery CD), so I think I could exclude a software problem.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
    Roberto

    Hello

The update of BIOS does ' t solve this problem.
It seems that the Toshiba service partner forgot to start several compatibility tests. This is necessary after some repair procedures. Without this additional test, the CPU does not work with maximum efficiency. Well, there is nothing to see. You must contact the service again and it should solve this problem.

    Hello

I can't find exact laptop specifications and don t know what version of Win7 you have with your machine, but I can't imagine that you have such problems after the original recovery image installation.
Original recovery image contains drivers tested for your machine.

Sorry, but I must ask you once more: you may have noticed this problem even if you have installed the original recovery image that you got with your machine?

  • HP Pavilion DV4-2101TU: DV4-2101TU screen flashing

Hello! I have a problem with the screen flashing. I changed two times of the display cable, the laptop works very well for a few days, but then the problem comes back. If I press at times, at the bottom of the screen, it works very well, at the time when that pressure is removed, it starts flashing again. Is the LCD, problem LCD inverter problem or the cable from the screen once more? And if it is the display cable again which is damaging it again and again?

If someone can point to the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

The symptoms are exactly what you posted.

If the connectors are not properly "COZY" mounted, it can be pulling slightly, which is enough for casue you feel.

When you change the cable yourself, you must ensure that the mylar or tape covers the connections to FIX in order to reduce the movement, if not even once, it appears you are experiencing the symptoms. If you checked these, this could be the inverteer on the back of the lcd screen.

But I think you should check your connections as you mentioned that it works for a few days.  The person who did the work may have set no new band/Ribbon mylar for connections to hold it still.

  • Traffic going only 1-way?

    I have a vpn site-to site between a router Cisco 1941 and a router XTM22 of Watchguard.

The tunnel is up, and on the side with the Watchguard router, I have full access to the

    LAN side Cisco 1941.

However, I can't access any of the devices on the local network with Watchguard.

If you had to guess, what router should tell you the origin of the problem? I don't really know where

    to start the search.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Keith

    Keith,

Encrypted and decrypted packets usually means that the traffic goes through the tunnel, so I don't think you have a LCD problem. In any case you forgot to mention where you apply each ACL.  I guess one of them is for the card encryption and the other is for NAT, but I can't say about the other two.

Now, when you say that you have no chance to ride on the LAN side watchguard, what exactly you are trying to do? Address a reader? Ping a host?

Also, since the LAN Cisco can ping you the inside interface of the WatchGuard? Can you ping any host on the LAN?

    Thank you

    Luis
