HP Office Pro 8600: scan to HP Office Pro 8600

How to scan a document of several pages in a single file using the glass flat?  When using the document feeder, can I scan multiple pages into a single document.  When I use the flat glass, I get a file for each page.  Under Advanced settings, page file, I did check the box for "create a separate file for each page scanned.

Hello

The scanner HP on your source PC software as the glass flat, will ensure the scanning resolution is 300 dpi or lower and the Scan preview is checked.

Click Scan, use the button "+" below the print preview to scan the next page.

Repeat the same until you have finished and click Save to complete the analytical work.

Kind regards.

  • How to scan using your HP Office Jet Pro 8600

Well, I got my answer because I could not find a topic 'resolved' in this regard. So I decided to post my findings to help the next interrogator (is that a word = the one interviewing). FYI - I am not a "geek", and while I can find my way around a computer it sometimes takes a while.  Also, I have Windows 7 on this laptop if it makes a difference.

    1. go to control panel and choose:

    2. material and audio, then

    3 devices and printers, then

4 fax - HP Office Jet Pro 8600 (network) or whatever printer choice applies to your situation, then

    5 HP Printer Wizard, then

    6 scanner activities, then

    7. analyze a document or a picture, then

    8. Save as PDF

    9 scan

    10. save in a folder you choose

I know this may seem simplistic to most of you, but maybe someone like me is out there, trying to find this out and this could help.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8600: Error Message: Scan in use - wait until the job is done

-There is no unfinished business and I can't find anywhere to clear the error or erase any task the scanner thinks he's working on.  Has anyone met and solved this problem?

  • Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus scanning issues

I had my Office Jet Pro 8600 more for a few months and have been scanning a pretty good volume without problems.  Now, I have what I believe to be a their material.  That's the problem.  I'm getting random LARGE band (broad sense) about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of black, gray, or white streaks down the pages.  I had the problem of cleaning so I cleaned everything, always there, but not every time.  So I raised the lid and set the paper on the glass, guess what still there.  So now I know that it is NOT a problem of cleaning.  Switch papers, always there.  Is not a problem of cleaning, not a charger problems, not paper I'm scanning.  At this point, the only thing I can think is that some of the scanning light is on the fritz.  It seems to do better after a rest and as I said it comes and goes.  Any ideas anyone?   I think that this could be a problem of default.  Please let me know.

    Hey Boefixepa,

If the printer is to give you a black line when scanning/copying with the ADF and flat, then I would hazard a guess that the printer is connected to a surge protector.  If so, then try the following steps.

    * Unplug the printer while on

Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the surge protector

    * Wait 60 seconds

    * Plug the printer back to power on a direct outlet

The 8600 does not need to have a surge between her protector and the wall unit has protection against overvoltages, built in.  Being doubled surge protection can sometimes cause this type of line to appear using the 8600.  I hope this helps.

  • 8600/scanning HP Office Pro orders desktop.

    Windows 7.  Wireless printer.

I can scan from printer to the computer using the screen on the printer, but can not find the order desk top page.  Someone on this forum told me to double click the icon of the printer, but not much.  I belive that I used to do it with the HP Solution if my memory is.  Now, he tells me I havn't finished the installation process.  I have re-directed the installaition with my Boot cd, but it did not help.

I'm trying to scan a black and white document directly in my computer without having to print the document, first, then copy it into B / W, then the scanner.  Apparently, there are all these options when you control the process of my office, the screen rather than the printer.

    Any suggentions there?  Thank you.

You have the hp 8600 installed software? By default, if installed, HP Scan should be under start-> all programs-> HP-> HP Officejet8600 series

Otherwise, download and install the software: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40120/bi-108858-4/OJ8600_1315-1.exe

  • Office jet Pro 8600: how to change the folder for the scans on my Apple?

Hi, I want to know how to change the destination for my scans folder when I scan from the printer.  Currently, the scans go to "documents", and I want him to be in a business case.  Clues?  I tried to watch some instructions on the previous posts, but it seems that they are for windows.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi @jgossc,

I'd be happy to help you change your scan destination. I understand that when you scan your Officejet Pro 8600 to your Mac, the file analysis is currently underway to your documents and want to let them instead to a business case.

To change the destination please follow the steps below and let me know the results of your efforts:

    • Open HP utility
    • Select Scan to the computer
    • Click Scan tasks to change
    • Choose a shortcut to scan
    • Select Edition
    • In the options listed here, you should see scan destination

If this resolves the issue, please click Accept as Solution button below; If not, let me know and I will do everything I can to help. Thank you.

  • Scan is terrible quality on my new pro 8600 hp office jet all-in-one

Not only did I ghost lines quality is terrible, y at - it an update to help fix this problem?  I have to edit each document by adjusting the contrass, which makes my homework look as if it was burned down, so my instructor can read. Uhggg. I tried hard start and cleaning of the listed procedures, but none of it worked.  After I scan it and doctor a document that is mostly in "BOLD" impression. I save on my desktop as a pdf and then later join my email.

    Hey storm,.

I see that you have a scan image quality problem with your Officejet Pro 8600.  I would check how you have this printer connected to the power.  The unit has a built in the surge protector and using the 8600 with one another surge protector/power strip can lead to problems of image quality with copies/scans/faxes.  I advise to connect the printer to a direct outlet if this has not already been done.

So, check to see if the issue of image quality is with the scans or the question follows with copies so?  Try to make a copy of a scanned document, compare the original and the copy the image on your screen.

Try another test I scan a document, and then print the resulting scanned image.  It corresponds to the original, or is it like the image displayed on the PC?

You start the scan of the front of the 8600 or from the software on the PC?  How the 8600 is connected to your PC?  What is the operating system of the PC connected to the 8600 that you use for the scans?

I want to make sure exactly where the problem is that I used many 8600 s and had no problem with scanning as you describe.

Hello @kathy817, hope you are well!

Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.

I see that you are having problems when parsing printer Officejet 8600. Could you please try and make a copy of the photo on the printer? Let me know if the copy option works very well.

If the copy also gives you a black page, try the following steps:

    • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
    • Wait 2-3 minutes and then plug back the power cable directly to the wall outlet (do not use a surge protector or an extension cord)

If the copy is fine, please let me know. In addition, tell me how the printer is connected. Is it connected using USB or wireless?

I'll watch for your reply. Good luck!

    See you soon

  • Issue of scanning/Printing Office Pro 8600 N911g ADF

The printer works perfectlyt except when scanning or printing through the ADF. When the charger is used to scan or print material shows a thin, but documents line strong, black from top to the bottom of the printed output (or scanned in).

This line does not appear if the document is feed into the ADF and is about 1 1/4 "from the right side of the front of the scanned doc and the same distance on the back, but on the left side. If scanned into the computer and saved the doc file scan seems to have the line in the file. I thought it might be a problem of ink cartridge, but if the analysis file has a line on it of course is not a cartridge problem. The original doc of feeding through the ADF remains prestine. Interestingly, when the line appears on the printed doc or scan does not appear to align with a roller or the device of the feeder with the module duplex or ADF.

Have completed all the steps described on the HP support site in the cleaning of the rollers, etc. on both the two the duplexer and the ADF without success. The problem occurs only when a document is fed through the ADF, so am reasonably sure that the problem is internal to this part of the unit or it could be a software driver problem.

Am a relative novice here so any help, suggestions or advice would be really appreciated.

  • HP officejet pro 8600: office pro scan 8600 jet will allow to add pages in PDF format

Before I upgraded to Windows 10 my scanner enabled me to add new pages to a PDF document before you save it.  Now, I have to make a separate PDF for each page of my document.  I already deleted and reinstalled my camera and used print and scan doctor 4.9.  In addition, unplugged the unit for awhile and straightened my computer.

    Please try this scanning solution:

Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

How to scan multiple pages into a single document?

    Thank you

    Hi REDFIERO,

I can help you scan multiple pages to a file.

If you use a Mac, you can perform your analysis with HP Scan and when you save the file, choose PDF. Under the PDF Format you chose you will see the option to save all pages in a single file.

If you are using a Windows operating system, follow the instructions in the following document, Scanning of multiple in a single PDF Pages.

  • Office Jet Pro 8600: office jet pro 8600 clear the display

I have an Office Jet Pro 8600 and need to know if there is a way to fix the screen faded. You don't see the options like print, scan, fax, tools...  It isn't that I know where they are and who's who for the most part.

In addition, scanning is not clear.  Everything is faded.  However, it still prints and faxes by a fine.  I hope I don't have to buy a new All In One Printer.  I finally got most of the glitches and tricks when I have a problem with it.  Is it possible that there is a light bulb needs to be changed or something?  I appreciate your help & feed back as soon as possible.  I use in an office on a daily basis.

    Hey @mere4340,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

I see that you have some problems with the copy and see the display on your Officejet 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute.

If after the above, that you can't always see the screen or copy clear, the printer needs to be replaced because it has no replaceable bulbs in the scanner or the display. You can contact the HP Support by clicking here and filling out the form below to see what options are available.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
