HP OfficeJet 150 - default Installation Installer

Hi all! I ran out of options and in desperation mode.

I bought a portable printer HP OfficeJet 150 to pair with my laptop Dell XPS12 while I'm away at work. Unfortunately, the day I #3 and I can't get the installer to complete the installation drivers and programs needed to make the printer print and scan. "Unpack" itself when I try to run the installer, it does nothing after that. I tried to use the disc that came with the printer, as well as the full program file which can be downloaded from the HP website. Installs the Setup file and the printer works fine on my daughter's laptop that also run 8.1 in 64-bit Windows, this isn't a cable problem, software or print. I went as far as removing the antivirus McAfee delivered program pre-loaded on the laptop and tried to install it, but has always failed. I lived two levels of support by Dell as their XPS and divisions of the printer, as well as two levels of HP support on three occasions. In the end, each company pointing the finger to the other company, so I'm stuck in a void that I can't get.

Please, anyone else have any suggestions? I'm all out of ideas and really need this problem is resolved.

Thanks in advance for your time and effort!

VIC

Solution: My laptop being less than two months, I decided to try reinstalling Windows, since it's the only thing that had not yet been tried. After saving my work files, I went through the process of reinstalling Windows 8.1 long enough and then tried to load HP OfficeJet 150 installation software. It worked!

After so many failed attempts by three different at HP technicians and two at Dell, I think that the problem was actually caused by the first HP technician because it crossed my registry and deleted and changed the number of entries. The third HP technician, however, pointed out that my McAfee Firewall was probably the problem early. Disable the firewall was a step that no other technician had already tried, until she made the day #3. Had I finished with the third HP technician in the first place, this debacle could probably have been avoided.

Nevertheless, the problem is now resolved and I can use the printer for portability to work, which is exactly what I needed to accomplish.

Now, I try to set up a Bluetooth connection. Wish me luck!

Your much more course using the option 'tailor-made' for each program you want to install. Most of the applications have this option. Change the system variable or the registry entry can cause other issues, you may not like.

Hello! I install the database Oracle and Query Tool Express Edition for the first time. I have Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate Edition. If I change the default location, this will affect the software in any way (i.e. the program will have trouble to find some files)? Is there a real reason to install it on C:\?

You can change the location, but I strongly suggest do not use space when you use a different name

    Example:
    Use D:\My_Database\xxx

    Don't use D:\My Database\xxx

  • Could someone explain why default installation it has defects?

Installed 11 GR 2 today. Totally default installation - see my steps in the Installation forum - and immediately, EM reports 7 policy violations.

    Running on public UTL_FILE privileges
    Running on public DBMS_JOB privileges
    Privilege restricted to run UTL_SMTP
    Privilege restricted to run UTL_HTTP

I wonder why these are not automatically closed on a new installation.

Backward compatibility is not really cut it in my mind - all worthy of their name DBA would close the holes or explicitly favorable privileges with eyes wide open. I think that, since they are listed as critical, it would be simply documented and closed by default - possibly with a script to reopen, just like the ' CONNECT/RESOURCES/DBA' roles have been processed (finally).

    Just wondrin'

Personally, I wish Oracle would make a break, perhaps with version 12, but so far, they seem much more interested not break legacy applications in locking the door.

  • How can I print from my galaxy s4 and hp officejet 150 mobile printer all in one

I have connected my 150 mobile all-in-one hp officejet to my lap top.  Now, I want to connect my printer on my galaxy s4 Bluetooth smartphone, but the phone is new and I'm not sure the next steps.  Help.

Hi John. Officejet 150 mobile as you know is a Bluetooth printer.

HP does not offer an impression of the Android operating system solution Bluetooth:

See "Printing Bluetooth with a mobile device":

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03143772

There are, however, 3 3rd Party Apps that can work for you. Do not forget that they are not officially approved by HP and not guaranteed.

user "jbarsgixxer" of this post said "printershare" worked for him:

    Could you confirm please?

    Thank you very much

    Hey kvitiello,

I see that you have the 150 Mobile.  This printer is not printing or AirPrint takes 2 methods, often used for printing from an iPad.  The iPad does not support the bluetoothing to an iDevice and printing.

Hope this helps to answer your question,

  • HP Officejet 150: Can not scan wireless

I have a HP all-in-ONE Officejet 150 and that you are unable to scan wireless.  Right now, I can't even the bluetooth icon to turn blue, although it said that the radio is on.  I took my old printer because of such problems.  I handed to factory, combined with my Sony computer, but it does not recognize my computer.  Suggestions?  I can use a cable and get it to the scan, but that defeats the purpose of bluetooth technology.

    Hi @Dragonbebe,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not scan wireless with your mobile printer HP Officejet 150. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

This printer can only scan with the printer cable USB is plugged. As the wireless Bluetooth connection is strictly to be printed. Please see the user's Guide, for more information your printer.

I can't charge the battery in Officejet 150.

You may have a bad power supply. Have you tried different power outlets and make sure that everything is attached.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000: installation of the driver wireless Officejet 8000 Pro says default gateway is 0.0.0.0

I'm chasing a well-documented problem of my printer lost network connection after a variable period of printing to do not. The only way to connect is to change the power supply, but the printer may take 5 minutes to blow and grunts until it settles and prints...

I put a static IP address on the printer (10.0.0.250) as well as an empty default gateway successfully, and the documents are printed after 5mins of blowing and grunting (save the regular lost connection which I'm hunting...).

I put what I thought has a static IP address on the router to match (see image below), but now I don't know if it was necessary, and if the 'hosting of the fixed DHCP server' is correct. It might be useless and missleading...

Using the configuration of the printer to 10.0.0.250 interface, it seems to accept the installation of the network when the default gateway is blank. With the help of 10.0.0.2 caused the 'page not found' error in my browser (Chrome).

However, when you try to reinstall the drivers, the installer has grumbled to the default gateway is set to 0.0.0.0, which currently is the only way it will work...

The Win7 PC is plugged into the router.
The printer wireless to the router.

ipconfig on the pc gives Ethernet card details below.

So basically I have no idea what I'm doing...!

    ==============

Ethernet connection to the Local network card:

    The connection-specific DNS suffix. :
    Link-local IPv6 Address...: fe80::c8e1:63ef:85e0:7 24% 13 c.
    IPv4 address...: 10.0.0.249
    ... Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.
    ... Default gateway. : 10.0.0.2.

    Router config.

Thank you for your comments. It seems that I solved the problem of the default gateway. Time will tell if the remains of the printer connected through long periods of no use (see update below).

It seems that the configuration of the router of the "DHCP fixed existing host" has nothing to do with the device assigned a static IP address. In fact, it seems that this setting prevents the printer through a default gateway of the router address.

I noticed that when you give the PC a fixed IP, it connected through the router without any other configuration of router. If I reasoned that it may be applied to the printer also, so I moved the printer 10.0.0.251 and Bingo! the default gateway can be set to the IP address of the route.

Since then I downloaded to other updates, which is supposed to correct the common problem of wireless printers, loss of the connection.

I'll try to report in the next few weeks an update about the stability of connection network printers.

    UPDATED: May 23, 2016

And more of the foregoing, my router support suggested I increase a parameter "timeout" from 24 hours to 10 days. I did it more than a week. Today, the printer worked after the impression of not for about 5 days

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  To reach your goal of deployment installs silent, I recommend HP sicnce Administrator's Guide install it documents a method of installing command line which include an optional instal silent.  Here is a link to this documentation that can be used with the base HP driver.
