HP Officejet 4500 G510n - z WiFi: double-sided printing

The printer above results unexpected when printing duplex (manual) option

He greatly prints on both sides, but: -.

Odd pages are printed first, followed by the even pages.

This translates into the even pages on the top.

For a 6 page document, this gives Pages 2/1(on top), 4/3, 6/5 (below).

Certainly it is easy to place a small number of pages in the order correct, but very annoying for a large number of pages

If the same pages were printed initially followed the odd pages no need to reorganize leaves - they would already be in the right order.

Double-sided for this printer options are POWER off and MANUAL.

Please notify.

FLYNNE

I've carried out your instructions, but I still get the same options of Driver as before.

There is no problems with Word or Excel, only Internet Explorer 11.

For Internet Explorer 11 I save web Pages in PDF format and print Acrobat Reader, which has many printing options that meet my needs.

Thank you for your time and advice - you've been most helpful.

    Hello
You can perform manual duplex printing by one of the methods below:

To perform manual duplexing, Joanie you use the Pages to the printer setting, you can find below:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01663233

Thus, another alternative is to use the HP two-sided printing software:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL35975/MP-88750-2/HP_Two-sided_Printing.dmg
You can access this tool by clicking the PDF button at the bottom of the print dialog box, and then select double-sided printing and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Hi @Jayburn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that the back comes out on top down, when duplex printing with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium, Windows 7. I am pleased to see that for you!

Please, take a look through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) for HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-all-in-one printer (H711). Follow the instructions for Windows.

    Guidelines General double-sided printing

Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or paper jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

    I hope this helps!

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n: installation all-in-one printer

The first step in installation is to click on 'Install', but the only option is "Exit". What Miss me?

    Tim,

I'm not familiar with this error, or use Webroot security software.

It sounds as if something is locked up - or blocked.

The State of the printer is constantly changing: wireless status, entry and work completion, changes in the availability of the Internet (for ePrint), enters the State of ink.  The computer must have the permission and access of / to the printer to provide updates to the software of the printer.

You may need to take a look at your Webroot security settings - and newspapers.

If the system is aware of any issue, the Event Viewer logs may have made note of it.  The trick is to find and understand the data.

Assuming that you don't find anything abnormal, only, you will need to restart all - this time this includes the router because it is one of the places where things tend to lock in new facilities.    If your router provides logging features good, you might be able to track all errors.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z hangs up during installation or has missing file

I have recently upgraded your older desktop for Windows 7-64 bit.   Everything works great except that I can't get my HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z everything-in-one-printer to install.

I loaded the software before when the machine was working under Windows XP.  I recently bought a laptop and used the same CD software to install printer on this unit with no problems.  When I insert the CD and AutoPlay starts the Setup program seems 1) hang up in the step of verification system, or 2) declare that a file is missing (I don't know which) and then stops.  I tried to uninstall the software, tried to uninstall using Uninstall_L3.bat and restart the PC, to no avail.  I don't know what else to try.  Technical support costs, I could probably buy another printer.

I tried to remove completely all the HP software from the office refurbished, but now I can't find the Util / CCC folder.

How can I remove completely any / all traces of the HP from the desktop software?  Still working?

My printer was working fine until I needed to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7-64 bit.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z: failure sending a fax from Word G510n-z

I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite running Windows 10 with, AFAIK, updates. I am trying to send a Word document by fax to my connected OfficeJet 4500 wireless. The printing process works, I get the dialogue Send Fax, I dutifully fill. The document goes to the queue from print, then disappears. The printer is not composing or anything; the document will just in the bit bucket, without error, not even in the case log.

    Other relevant details:

    • I tried reinstalling the drivers; After several hours the skin of HP software, I did.
    • The laptop has 3 printers associated with my physical device: 2 printers generically named ' HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z ' and ' fax HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z "; and "HP # (HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z) ' (where # is a hexadecimal number of device-specific, I'm not willing to share here). The third argument prints correctly to the book.
    • I can scan documents through the HP Support Center application.
    • Copy and fax work correctly to the device itself. For example, if I have first print the thing, I want to fax, then by fax using the document feeder and the front of the device, it connects and sends the fax correctly.
    • The last time I checked, I was able with a fax in a program on my archaic Macintosh.
    • To repeat the foregoing, no errors are displayed or saved. Each attempt appears in the Fax as "Completed." log I don't want to get all the answers canned on the subject, thank you very much.
    • I browsed this forum of the community and support site and tried what I could find and understand how to do in Windows 10 of bugs. (Disclaimer: I've always been a Mac person and a VMS/Mac/Linux software developer, to try to understand how to do something which expected to be simple in Microsoft mess was not easy for me.) It is not suggested with a laptop given to his wife by a friend, however.)

What unconscious thing [sic] I'm missing?

Sorry the post is so long...

I have installed and reinstalled the software for my printer at least 5 times.  Whenever I get a message that the driver did not download properly.  I discovered that I get this message because Windows search driver on the "Windows Update" updates on the Microsoft Update page.  I use the printer on a wireless home network.  I learned to double check the connection and all is well.  I tried to scan for the first time yesterday and guess what?  Cannot find driver HP Document Manager and uninstall and reinstall the printer again.  I followed every suggestion support on the Web site and the drivers still don't load correctly.  Although I'm not an IT wiz, I'm very capable with computers and the resolution of problems.

Please give me a solution time.  I interviewed for the job of my dreams last Thursday and I can not send a thank you letter or letter of reference which had been requested because of problems with this printer. I can't lose this job, in this market, it is once in a lifetime chance!

  • HP Officejet 4500 G510n Scan via airport utility?

How can I get my HP Officejet 4500 G510n to perform a SCAN using airport utility?

Airport utility is not related to operating an MFP. It there is no scan via airport utility function or any what router airport. That is, the printer must be connected through its network and NO USB connection to the router. What is the Airport base station is the printer is simply a network client. No printer function any is active via the airport.

You must install the drivers HP and the complete software for any OS that you are running on your computer.

It's the HP drivers and software that will allow you to scan over network. Or if NOT, maybe... often scanning on network is problematic.
