HP OfficeJet 4620 - not the router's IP address

Hello!

I have a HP Officejet 4620, who worked until yesterday under power and off the fine. Yes, digitization is a PITA, but well, it was a gift

In any case.

Since yesterday my 4620 won't get an IP address from my router. I use a router TP-Link WiFi with OpenWRT. I had it configured the printer receives an IP, but even that won't happen again.

I printed directly from the printer to the Network Configuration page and the testpage so Wifi.

The wireless test tells me that the printer is connected to my wifi, by dint of perfect signal and has the right channel (11).

The network config page shows, however, that the printer is disconnected my wifi but has the correct SSID listed. And theres no IP assigned.

I have already tried to assign a manual IP in my network and have restored the settings default to wifi, but when the software waits a new IP from my router, it didn't get one.

Also several reboots does not change a thing.

But the router side he has changed nothing and all network (LAN or wireless) devices are connect well and they will have an IP address fixed or dynamics of the DHCP based on settings.

So I would appreciate any help b4 I throw this piece of sh * t through the window.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Hi Obi-illusion,

Thanks for the reply!

My apologies, I should have realised that before I sent the update of the firmware. You can also do it via computer if you happen to have a USB cable, just click here.

If this doesn't solve the problem, or you do not have a USB cable, please read this privacy statement for HP: http://bit.ly/pCUQT7 and continue to check your Inbox of forum for a reboot. If you are unsure how to check your messages on the forum this post, has the instructions.

I hope that does the trick!

My printer recently started telling me it was in a State of 'error' and could not print my documents.  Sometimes I could turn off the printer market and all that was trying to print would then print, if documents or Quicken checks.  Now I can't print from the computer at all, or it will print checks from Quicken even if I turn the printer power off and power on.  The HP Web site indicates that it is connected.  It is the second computer from HP Officejet 4620 of the original that I bought.  The first has a problem that has been covered by the warranty, and this one doesn't seem to be much better.

  • OfficeJet 4620 - will be not printed black - HELP!

I have an Officejet 4620 and the printer doesn't print black ink.  Other colors print fine.  After spending $ 65, I've replaced the ink cartridges, and it would not print!

I found the link to ""printer prints a blank Page or print no black or color ink for HP Officejet 4610, 4620, Deskjet Ink Advantage 4610 and 4620 e - all-in - One Printer Series " and followed all the instructions, TWICE, if not three times! "

I also cleaned the printhead several times, two rounds each, and again, it will not be printed.  What to do is print the calibration reports that continue to eat my ink!   Printing reports colored pieces, but nothing in BLACK!

This seems to be a very common problem with these printers because I have read several forums that describes the same thing, and HP does not seem a good solution or offer of difficulty or the problem.  I noticed most positions with this question end up making a private offline message.

Before I wonder, the printer is no longer under warranty and I live in the United States.  PLEASE HELP ME!

  • Photosmart 6520 does not print after upgrading the firmware on the router.

I have problems with my router and a remote technician for Verizon FIOS updated firmware, solve my problem of the internet, but now my printer is not working.  When I try to print from my macbook pro (OSX Lion 10.7.5) it is said that the printer is idle.  When I try to print from my ipod and the iphone, it is said that it prints, but then nothing happens.

I was able to set up direct wireless to print, but I don't want to go into the settings and change networks whenever I need to print.

I tried to turn off the router unplug the printer and turn it back on.

I checked to make sure that the WEP code and network name are correct.

    What can I do else?

I appreciate really all the efforts that you and other posters are on this issue, but I feel that I will not find a solution.  Maybe a new router?

It is a long shot. But since we are short of ideas, please try to change the configuration of the router from WEP to WPA2 and try again to establish the connection. Because WEP is very old standard, some routers may have a few inherited defects that were never resolved.

Well... This opens a huge can of worms, it leads eventually to a solution.  I changed the security settings and when I presented to them, 'wait while we apply the settings' screen appeared and never went away.  The timer kept spinning and this went on for over an hour.  Neither the old or new passwords worked and I completely lost my internet connection.  I called Verizon and ordered a new router and said the technician on the line of my being stuck in limbo. After a few basic tests (unplug and pluggng again) she transferred me to someone in the advanced group.  To make a long story short, he traced the fault not the router, but the optical network outside my home box.  It reset, reset the router (losing the new security settings and everything else) but my internet is back, and fortunately, so is my printer.  I'll live with that until the arrival of my new router state-of-the-art.

Thanks for the suggestion, it was a frustrating experience, it finally lead me to a printer to work! I doubt that I would come to this point another way.

  • Cannot access the Router #2

Here is a diagram of my home network.  This is what works.  If I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #2 router (wired or wireless), I can browse my network devices and browse the Internet without any problems.  My problem happens the other way.  For example, if I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #1 router (wired or wireless) I can see all network devices, with the exception of #2 router and all devices connected to it.

Starting from a device connected to the Router 1 # I can ping LAN ports and Internet #1, #1 wireless bridge and Bridge #2 wireless router.  However, I can not ping the Internet port on the Router #2.  I guess it's a setting on Router #2 just don't have yet.   Here is a list of my equipment:

Wireless routers are the two Linksys WRT 54 G

Wireless bridges are the two Engenius ENS202

Any ideas on why this is happening?

    Turn your router n ° 2 in a switch\repeater.

Changes required for the installation of WRT610n:

    1. Change the SSID of the evocative wireless for the location. Ex: UpstairsWifi
    2. This must be done at the same time on the configuration screen, change the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.254 for you there is an IP address conflict with your main router, disable DHCP and save the settings
    3. Don't forget after that point that the internet port of the router is not to be used only the LAN ports
    4. If you need to reconfigure this router you would use it's new IP address in the browser "192.168.1.254".

This means that your network IP addresses range starts with ' 192.168.1.. " If not the typical another range of IP addresses would begin by "192.168.0. * ' in which case the router's IP address must be changed to 192.168.0.254

    Hello

an OSPF router generates only a router-LSA (Type-1) by Area. This router-LSA contains a list with all the links in this area.

You can see your telesignalisations with 'show ip ospf router of database' - 'show ip ospf database' rather an overview:

    Router Link States (Area 0)Link ID ADV Router Age Seq# Checksum Link count9.9.12.1 9.9.12.1 326 0x80000028 0x00BE86 3
Router 9.9.12.1 announces a router-LSA for area 0 and the LSA contains 3 links. Apparently, you created the Loopback IPs when adjacency was already formed, if not the router ID would be defined the highest loopback IP (maybe that's the reason for your confusion). HTHRolf
  • New Internet Service, do I need to reset the router E2500?

I had used temporarily my router E2500 to work with a wireless broadband source by connecting it to a Cradlepoint CTR500.

Now I will connect the E2500 to run (and ongoing) with Time Warner Roadrunner using a modem cable Scientific Atlanta WebSTAR DCP 2100. Given that I'm changing the source of the internet, do I need to reset the E2500 to factury default values, and then perform a new installation using the Cisco Connect software?

The cable modem is currenlty connected via an ethernet straight cable to the PC. I had read that remove the ethernet connection and the cable from the cable modem and the modem powered off for 10 minutes will cause the modem to "forget" the PC's MAC address.  Once connect it MAC address of the PC had been "forgotten", the ethernet cable from the modem to the router, which make the modem pick up the router's MAC address and eliminate the need to clone the MAC address of the PC. Does this sound correct?

Unplug the power to the modem cable for 30 seconds should be good enough. In regards to the router, you should be able to get without a reset, if it is set to DHCP for the type of internet connection.
