My 8100 Officejet Pro won't recognize color when you try to print from my pictures in Windows 8.1. I've done all the checks... ok of ink, grayscale printing is turned off, blackonly is disabled, deleted the program and resarted from scratch with disc supplied. The computer brand new from Chillblast and is very fast and up-to-date. All inks are new and full.

It will print documents, pdf, etc, but I can't 'see' colors in my pictures, all the previews and print out black and white.

The only thing is that I don't know what, if any, changes may be required in the part "Color management" Settings Advanced... any advice... Thank you.

I just checked the download site pilot official HP and wireddrivers.com site and noticed that the number of driver for my printer Officejet Pro 8100 has changed!

    It was OJ8100_1321.exe... It is now OJ8100_1321 - 1.exe.

I downloaded this driver and all is well in my world printer!

I don't know if that was my question on this forum or my contacts a Microsoft technician, (which was useless and kept asking me to do things that I refused to do what I explained that I had already tried), but in any case, someone realized there is a software problem in the pilot and fixed.

I will now post this as resolved to help someone else who search... Regards Kevin.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8100: Officejet Pro 8100 won't print color after update software on Mac

I have a MacBook Air with OS X (Yosemite 10.10.3)-.

When I connect the printer via USB, I was able to print by using the generic drivers on the machine. However, as expected, update software detected an update for HP drivers - I installed.

And now the printer does not print in color. I checked every setting I can think, but it is still printing in black and white.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Welcome to the @mandikayencforum!

I have read your current position and the previous thread on how you were not and are not able to print in color from your Mac running 10.10. I saw that already test pages were color printing and would like to know if the test always pages print in color. If they do, a matter for the Mac somewhere, and I have some suggestions for you to do below. If the test pages no longer print in color, please let me know! If the printer is not printing in color when you print test pages, there is probably a problem of cartridge or printer hardware problem.

    1. follow the same steps of @Waterboy71 on your other thread here to reset the permissions system disk and repair of printing: Re: Officejet Pro 8100 refuses to print color (OS X 10.9)

    2. If you still do not have the ability to select the color printing on your Mac, try the procedure described in this post from wisgirl64: Re: won't print in color from my Mac or iPhoto for HP photosmart D110

If you find that the color print test pages, and the Mac does not give you the options to choose color printing, I suggest getting in touch with Apple support experts to see if they can help fix the problem of the OS X.

HP OFficejet Pro L7680 turns off and won't turn back on.

    Hello untech,.

I see it's been a while since you have posted with us on the HP Forums.  Please, let me take a moment to say "Welcome Back".

I see that you have a problem with the printer l ' auto turn off and not turning it back on.

You happen to have the printer power cable connected to a power strip/bar?  If so, please try to connect the printers power cable directly to a wall outlet.  Here is a document that explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

The printer in the document is a LaserJet printer but this document is intended for HP products in general and only use the LaserJet printers for example.

I'll also include a document indicating when the HP printer will not be running or to respond when the power button is pressed.

If by chance the problem is not resolved after you complete the steps described, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

Please do not hesitate to write me again if you have any other questions.

I wish you a great Monday!

    See you soon,.

    Hi RandyT9,

I think it's related to distinctive ring setting. Have you tried to put the distinctive ring for all the rings feature and see if the printer can automatically respond?

If you are using distinctive ring service, please refer to the user manual on the distinctive ring setting.

If you don't use a distinctive ring service, make sure that the Distinctive Ring

  • HP Officejet Pro e-all-in-8625: 8625 Officejet update won't scan to PDF

Recently, last week, I allowed a HP printer update which will be held in this printer: HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-all-in-one printer.

Today, I tried to scan a document on a USB key as a pdf (which I do quite often).  When I transferred the file to my computer, Acrobat has notified that the file has been corrupted or damaged.  I finally analyzed as a jpg image and then used Photoshop to save images in PDF and Acrobat format and then merge to images in the file of two pages, I wanted to and save it as a small PDF.  Obviously, this is not good.

Can I roll back the update?  Or is there a solution?

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.  My apologies for jumping in here.

You can download and install the software COMPLETE features of HP printing for your operating system:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8620-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5367611/model/5385111#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you will be able to print and scan.

Would you use the scan software FULL of scanning to PDF features, he amputates a step of your file transfer PDF scanned the USB to the computer.

Some good resources on the use of the HP scanning software:

    Scanning for Dummies

    Hope that helps.

I called the HP support by phone as suggested, and they had me unplug the printer, then hold the power button in during 15 seconds, everything disconnected in order to "drain the power."  Once I have it plugged it back in and he began to copy correctly turned on!  Hope this helps someone else with the same question.

  • OfficeJet 8500 has 910: Macbook Pro won't find my Officejet Pro 8500 printer

Until recently, my Officejet 8500 910 has worked very well with my Macbook Pro, desktop computer wireless Mac and iPad.  Now, it will not be printed with any of these devices. Yesterday, he worked with my iPad, but today it says that it cannot find the printer. On my Macbook and desktop computer, it is impossible to find the printer when I try to add.  You can find the scanner and fax part of my all-in-one, but not the printer. I deleted all my printers and tried to add this back.  I've stopped and restarted. I checked that my printer is connected.

I have same thing happened with a HP wireless printer in the 8600 series to work.  Sometimes he would find and connect.  Other times, it wouldn't. I appreciate all help.  Thank you!

    Hey @Jeanne33,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see that your Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One Printer does not appear on your network. I can help you with that.

    1. As you only use Apple products means that the printer is no longer connected to your network or a parameter has been changed on your network. That being said, this is what we will do:
      Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is off, remove the power cord at the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights came on the router, turn on the printer.
    4. Try to print.

At this point if you are not able to print, then we will do the following:

    1. On the printer, click on Configuration, network and wireless view summary.
    2. If you see a line indicating connected the printer is properly connected to the network. If this is not the case, then, from the main screen, click on Configuration, network and wireless configuration wizard to add the printer to your network. Try once done printing.

At this point, you should be able to print. If the printer still doesn't seem to add as a device for the Mac or appear on any other device and then you have a setting on the router that has changed. Your best option would be to communicate with the person who is provided with the router and ask them to do the following:

    • Open all ports.
    • Select multicast.
    • Disable MAC filtering/MAC cloning.
    • Disable the guest network
    • Make sure that the router has a band of 2.4 GHz.

Please let me know if this allows you to print or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great day!

If this solves your problem, then please help others find this post by clicking on accept as Solution on my post.

If you appreciate my help, so please let others know by clicking on the icon below my post thumbs up.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6835: The computer won't send jobs to the printer

My HP OfficeJet Pro 6835 is on and it says it is connected to my wireless network, but nothing will be printed on it.  I ran the HP Print doctor and he says that he has no problem.  I rebooted the computer and the printer and also deleted and redownloaded the drivers and the software of HP.  The HP Print doctor can get her pinter to print an internal test page, but no program will send a document to the printer (for example, word, excel, adobe).

    Hello

Lets try an other ways so that you should at least be able to print.

(if the printer is connected with USB)

Click START > device and printer > add a printer > add a local printer >

Select "Use existing Port" then Virtual USB from the drop-down menu, click on NEXT, in the production list, select HP / Hewlett-packard and in the right pane, select Deskjet 6980 and finish the wizard

    OR

    (if the printer is networked)

Click START > device and printer > add a printer > add a local printer > choose "Create a new Port" > type in the printer IP address click NEXT, in the manufacture of the list, select HP / Hewlett-packard and in the right pane, select Deskjet 6980 and finish the wizard

Now try printing from lotus and hopefully it should work.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 premium won't restart?

Two weeks ago, I bought a Premium Officejet pro 8600 and implemented. Everything worked. I was happy!

I left the country shortly after the implementation of the printer (and printing with it), but when I got home today, it will not re-start. I followed HP troubleshooting video instructions to a tee - disconnect and reconnect the chord, wait at least 15 seconds. Nothing has changed. I checked the plug for power and the power was very good - the test lamp I used works great. The printer will still not light. I looked for a "reset" button, but couldn't find one.

    Would appreciate any suggestions/support

Sorry you have to get a replacement, but happy, it will be back to work soon. If you have problems or questions, do not hesitate to ask.
