HP Officejet 6300

Three installation disks using the Vista one when the first bought printer. Now the Vista went to the case of the computer and I would like to use the printer with laptop computer which is Windows 7 64 bit. Can I use the Windows 2000, XP disk, the disk of Vista or do I need something else? =

Hi father, I see that you want to install your printer on your Windows 7 computer. To answer you question, no, you cannot use the driver diskette that you used to load the software on your Vista computer unless it says on the disc it self that this is for XP, Vista or Win 7. If your drive has NO Windows 7 listed, please click on the following link to get the drivers for Windows 7.    HP Photosmart and Officejet full feature software and drivers.

If you still have questions, feel free to write again.

Thank you.

I use my all-in-one HP Officejet 6300 as a standalone Copier, because he's too old to install it on my Windows 7. Now, I get the error message that the print cartridge door is open. I can't find any door open but can not use the machine until I get rid of this message.

I solved my problem by placing a heavy book on top of the printer. Apparaently, something is a little out of place and the book guard door is closed properly. Not a very technical solution, but it worked for me

  • HP Officejet 6300 - printing blank pages...?

    Hello world

I have a HP Officejet 6300 that I installed the ink successfully and aligned cartridges but when printing its just empty pages... Ive done a clean place and that made no difference.

One thing is that the color innk cartridge is empty but the black ink cartridge is full... I gave instructions to print in gray scale, assuming one would use the black ink cartridge...

For some reason if I remove the empty color cartridge the printer displays the ink cartridge missing message... ghoulish I on increase this?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you have a problem with the printer, printing blank pages.

No, there is no way you can replace the error message.

Most printers will not work without all the cartrides with ink.

Color cartridges mix with black to make a true black color. It is an older model of printer. Some older printers can print without the color cartridges. Not sure if this is one of them.

For starters, you have given a serial number of the printer, not the printer number.

Go top HP website, get the right drivers and install your printer.

  • OfficeJet 6300 message offline

I am using this in a network very well until I had to change the router.  My husband's computer is fine. (XP). My laptop (7) does not print. It keeps showing "offline." I tried to reset but defaults to return online.  What is going on?

In Control Panel > devices and printers, delete the printer.

    2. click on > start > Control Panel > printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the host name of the printer (found on the network printer configuration report the generated above). Click Next.
If you get a message about required additional Port information, then the printer is not found using the host name. You can go back and start over or using the IP address of the printer instead of the host name.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.

  • OfficeJet 6300 Windows 7 drivers

According to the website of HP, Windows 7 can be used when the printer is connected to a computer via USB, even though the fax from a computer is not supported. There is apparently no support for this unit when it is connected via a wired network, which is the main reason I bought this printer.

I am able to scan and print using the software after much agonizing Vista in Win 7 Professional, but am not able to fax. The only way I can fax is to connect remotely to a document PC running Vista and to fax my document to this machine, assuming the document is on a shared drive.

HP has had the opportunity to develop the work of the drivers for Windows 7 since January this year, when the first public beta version was released. Apparently, this was not enough time for them to do things.

Are there plans to fully support the features of Windows 7 for this device in a networked environment?

OK - credit where it's due. Full drivers have been released and they work on my Win 7 Professional installation.

    A couple of points, however.

    1. The installation of VISTA gave me a choice of what software to install. Installing Win 7 does not work - only, it goes ahead and installs everything. It is my pleasure to be given the choice.
    2. I can not fax to my all-in-one which is connected to another PC (Vista Business PC) on my network. I tried to use the MS Windows and analysis tool and the HP printer-fax. Maybe it just can't be done, but it would be nice if I could (I can connect to this computer remotely via Windows and faxfrom a shared drive, but want another way to do it).
  • Cartridge error: cartridge on right must be replaced.

HP Officejet 6300, Windows XP, cartridge error: cartridge on right must be replaced.

I got this error message on the printer from my wife everything last, so I it network in my HP Photosmart C7100 to keep her going. After of course replace the cartridge of the printer on the right (black ink), he worked for a week, then started again the error message. I just searched the net for a solution and found the following amazing revelation

    http://www.brokenmind.co.UK/2009/05/22/cartridge-error-cartridge-on-right-must-be-replaced/

I tried the reset solution option I found there, but it did not work. After searching around this forum, I hit on the idea of return to the old cartridge because I was convinced it was ink stay there, if I had kept. Hop, after a restructuring process, the printer is ready for action again.

This may or may not be a definitive solution. Who knows what next week will bring, but if someone has something to contribute on this error message, I would have.

The company that provided this cartridge not HP acknowledged that there is a bad reading on the chip and asked that I'm going through their reset process, i.e. to remove the cartridges, remove the power cable from the printer and leave it powered off for 10 minutes. Then reconnect and replace the cartridges again. It works no more.

The company indicated they now replace the cartridge of the free and return to the old one so they can inspect further. It's too good service from them. From this, we know now there is a fault with chips on the cartridges from a source of the problem. Of course HP could also say to use the original cartridges and you don't have the problem at all, or at least the cartridge is certainly out of ink and needs to be replaced.

  • Photosmart C4780 installation fails at the "system cannot find the file specified."

My problem began simply with your printer, a HP Photosmart C4780, who has always had a wireless connection and would not print.  Initially, the checked network connection fine control panel of the printer.  I ran a Microsoft printer troubleshooting, which found a block in line print and authorized.  The first test page print, but did print the "internal test page.  I did not understand what it meant, so I looked for help on the HP site.

I ran the HP print and Scan Doctorand he suggested I have reinstall the driver.  I have downloaded and saved the current HP (PS_AIO_06_C4700_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175.exe) and then uninstalled the existing driver.  When I tried to install a new, a window pops up saying "the system cannot find the file specified," with only a single box for click that simply says "OK".  The installation went through 'examining installation options', after entering "check updates, download updates, install updates" and then it was all in "audit system", who jumped out of the window "file not found" upwards, and when I clicked 'OK', the installation window as well as the error message box simply disappeared.  Which I suppose is the path to the file is under the window, but it didn't fit so he showed not the end.  What I read was "C:\Users\... \Local\Temp\7zS588E\Setup\.\Setup\hpzpnp40...»

I found a topic on the same printer model for the same problem in the forum, which offered this hotfix:

You must first complete a level 3 of the software uninstallation. I've included the steps below to do this.

    1. press the Windows key and the letter R
    2. type %temp%, and then click OK
    3. open the 7z folder (a more recent if there are multiples)
    4 open the util folder
5 open the folder of the ccc
    6. double-click on the Uninstall_L3

Once you have completed the Uninstall_L3, delete all of the items listed in the temp folder. Note, you will not be able to remove all the elements, please ignore those that do not. Then please empty the trash and perform a clean boot. I've included the document «How to perform a boot in Windows» If your computer does not request it, restart your computer.

Once your computer is back, you must reinstall the printer software. You can do this either by using the Setup CD, or by downloading the software.

I did what was suggested, until he got to the point where it says it was the case recommend not removing any more items if I had intended on using the HP Officejet printer (Yes, I have a second HP printer connected to the network) anytime in the future.  Not really understand how it all works, I decided to stop what I was doing, so unfortunately it has not solved my problem.

Do I need to uninstall both printers HP before I can reinstall a?  And if I do that, is there a reason that I wouldn't be able to reinstall the two printers?  Looks like I'm asking trouble.  Bottom line... I can not install the driver.

I tried to install the full versions and the driver base and still get the same result.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 - 3100t for computer laptop, running Windows 7 Edition Premium, version 6.1.7601 family service pack 1 64-bit.  I have not installed new hardware or software.  This printer has always had a wireless connection.  The router I'm using is a Netgear 54Mbps WGR614 v6 (provided by my cable company) and the network includes not only my laptop and the Photosmart printer, but also desktop ASUS, HP printer, an Officejet 6300 series (used only for printing graphics and photos via a wired to the router) and a chip on Vizio TV.  I use Norton 360 first Edition and disabled the antivirus auto-protect when I downloaded and tried to install the driver.

Help, please!  And thanks in advance for your time and your attention.

Oh, Jamieson, it worked!  I can print again!  A massive amount of thanks and congratulations to you.

I couldn't believe it when he actually passed the point where it normally would stop the installation, but then almost at the end, upward jumped «Fatal error during installation»  My excitement sank into a depression.  He said while the installation was not successful and he needed to collect information in order to diagnose the fault.  I looked at what has been collected, and it was more or less gobblety-* beep * for me.  There was a code of 19714722 error condition, if that means anything.

Then he placed on my desk, the "Error of Installation HP - Windows 7.hta" file and instructed me to do away with the current window, restart, and then open the file and move forward with these guidelines.  I did and he basically had me to restart the computer once again, and then turn the printer off, unplug the printer, then unplug the router, wait 30 seconds and then plug the TAA - DAA and back in, I'm back in the business of printing.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

All the best to you and yours!

  • Cannot install the Solution Center in Windows 7 for HP7310

I have a HP7310xi AIO that works very well until recently.  I've recently updated Win/XP to Win 7 32 bit and the printer software will not be installed correctly.  I downloaded and tried all the diagnostic tools that I can find on this site, nothing helps.  I can print but cannot scan due to lack of Solution Center software.  I want this to be a device connected to the network and part works very well with the printer, but I repeat, it will be no scanner - is network or USB accessory.

I downloaded (several times) the file of the AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141 software, which is supposed to install the necessary software, but IS NOT INSTALL the Solution Center.  I tried HPPIW for installation and also HPHNDU and HPPDU for the diagnosis of the printer, and who work very well.  I also tried HPPSdr (who works for the printer, but not scan) and HPSDU, which does not at all.

I still have my original installation CD and I tried, but of course it does not work with Win 7.  I also tried to uninstall the entire software package and then try to re - install, also without success.  It seems that the uninstall process is incomplete, or at least that's my guess.  I tried running also uninstall batch since the original installation CD files (the files to \util\CCC\Uninstall, Uninstall_L1, etc.) and they seem to work, but still the re - install subsequent does not install Solution Center.

I recently ordered the customers a new installation CD, expecting a full installation CD for Windows 7 and receive.  The label of the CD says it's for "HP Officejet 6300, 7200, 7300 all-in-One-series", and also that it is "Version 13.1.0" and "Windows 7" and "Multiple languages"  It is the number of piece CB744-10003 and seems to be exactly what I need.  HOWEVER... This is ACTUALLY ON THE CD!

Usefully, the label gives the following instructions:

Insert the CD in your CDROM drive

    All Windows operating systems:

    (a) click on 'Start' in the task bar, then click on 'run '.

b} type d:\Setup and click OK (where "d" is your CD drive letter"

This is exactly what I expected to see on an installation CD; BUT there is NO "SETUP" FROM THE CD FILE!

The content of the CD is exactly TWO FILES:

    AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe, and

    AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.MD5

The first file is the same as I've downloaded several times on your website and many, tried several times to install.

THIS CD DOES NOT CONTAIN WHAT THE LABEL SAYS WHAT IT SHOULD CONTAIN.

I spent a lot of time on the phone with 'Technical Support' (telephone number 1-800-474-6836) and just got a huge evasive.  The best suggestion they could offer was that I should 'upgrade' my printer!  I know the printer is old, and I know that the printer itself is not supported.  However, I expect better than that of a software package that is supposed to take care this device on Windows 7 AIO.

If I can't get this resolved successfully, I'll upgrade my AIO - but it WILL NOT BE ONE OTHER DEVICE HP!

Hmm...  I have an Officejet 7410 similar, I used the same configuration file to install and have used it for a few years on my Windows 7 system.  A few questions:

You have the printer connected by USB or network?

You said that you had upgraded to Windows XP.  Was this a clean install on the XP machine?

Are there any error messages during installation?

There are a few things to try: If the printer is connected with USB, unplug it before you continue.  Navigate to the folder folder (open the Explorer and folder type in the address bar), look for a directory starting with 7z and a date corresponding to when you tried to install the printer.  Go to the util/ccc directory in the 7z... directory and run uninstall_L3, uninstall_L2, and uninstall_L1 files.  (This is the program of uninstalling the version of Windows 7, it might be more effective than the XP uninstall program).  After you run each file three batch restart the computer and log in as a user with administrator privileges.  At this point, run the Setup program.

I have recently updated from Windows XP to Windows 7 Pro 64 and now my Hp Officejet 6300 all-in-one does not have to be analysed as before in pdf format - I downloaded the new drivers and comprehensive on the HP site and installed software, but when I run printing HP and scan doctor a problem happens with the scanner section - it says I need an update to fix the problem , but when I followed the news of update - I gave a download to a different printer, once downloaded and try to install, it just means that my device does not have this update?

    Hi Yabulela,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you have recently upgraded your operating system to Windows 7 64 bit and now you are not able to scan on your HP Officejet 6310. Did you uninstall the printer software before you upgrade to Windows 7, or did you just install the software and drivers for the new OS? Please follow the steps listed below:

    1. disconnect the USB key if you use a direct connection.

    2. remove the software HP 6300 to uninstall from the control panel of your computers an option of the program.

    3. restart the computer.

    4. make sure that all the software 6300 has disappeared from the list of programs, but also your HP folder listed under all programs in your Start Menu.

    5. now, go ahead and download the software and drivers for your 6310 (DO NOT connect USB until the software prompts you to):

    6. go ahead and print a test page.

    7. If you are unable to print a test page, please run the HP Print and Scan Doctor- designed by HP to provide users with troubleshooting and problem-solving features needed to solve many common problems encountered with HP print and scan products related to Windows computers.

Please let me know if it was successful! I'll watch for your reply.

  • Print to C4700 wireless is more than MacBook Pro 10.6.2

Sometimes this weekend my wife and I were more able to print on our our Macs C4700 wireless printer.  We have all two Proa MacBook with OS 10.6.2.  However, I am able to print the printer test pages AND I am able to print to the printer on my Linux laptop.

So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the printer, but rather the mac drivers?  In fact, within the HP utility test page indicates that the page will be sent directly to the printer without the driver and any other system of treatment.  It seems that since the test page printed fine there must be a problem both of our Macs, printing systems.

I removed and added the C4700 printer several times and this has not solved the problem.  In fact, much of the time when I am trying to add the printer on MacBook Pro Hello my wife of NOT find the C4700 printer.  It's to find the Scanner C4700 but not the printer.  Sometimes, I had to resort to using the IP address and the host name to add the printer.  I can find the printer on my wireless network and access its state information within the HP utility on our Macs and the web page of the printer.  In addition, as I said before, I am able to print wireless using my Linux laptop.

When I try to print, I get a connected to a printer message in my queue and after a while, it goes to idle.  Nothing is printed.

This printer has worked for a few months.  In addition, I've been on OS 10.6.2 since BEFORE I had the C4700.  I'm not sure when the C4700 stopped printing, but it seems to have started at least over this last weekend.  I have another printer HP (Officejet 6300 series) with a wired network and we are both able to print to this printer very well.  It's ONLY my wireless C4700 printer.

What can I do?  I am all of these ideas.  I don't seem to remember in the last days of ran my update of the software for laptop and I think I remember HP printer updated driver.  The latest driver updates may have caused this problem?  I'm grabbing at straws here.  I do not understand what could have happened?

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

It's very strange.  I strongly suspect something in your Mac.  Did you do a permissions repair (Applications > utilities > disk utility)?  Select your hard drive, then click on "repair disk permissions".  Maybe try to download the drivers OS X Apple?

In addition, have you restarted your router and checked that it has the latest firmware?

I'm running out of ideas, will you?

In the P & F pref panel, I tried to install the printer using all 3 protocols (Line Printer Daemon - LPD, Internet Printing Protocol - IPP and HP Jetdirect Socket), I plug the verified address of PPI, I selected the generic Postscript printer and the HP 6300 series drivers and nothing works. When I run the HP utility, I get a message "192.168.1.104 is currently unavailable...". ».  When I try to print, the printer status box returns a message "host 192.168.1.104 network is busy, try again in 15 seconds".

What is happening here? Thanks in advance.

OK, now I feel really dense. I plug the wrong IP address. Is is possible that this change? Could have sworn that I had it right. In any case, I print now, thank you for your time.
