HP OFFICEJET 6500 E710 CONNECT TO SKY ROUTER

Changed my router to the sky. Everything is ok with the connection from the computer. Set up my connection of the printer (if any). Wireless Network Test report print - "no problem found" - "correctly configured a wireless printer.

Problem - cannot print to printer to computer! Followed all procedures, including uninstalling and reinstalling printer. It is in itself was difficult because the disc would not move because I'm now running Windows 8.1.

My laptop can find my printer but not to communicate with him.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Reset the printer to Factory Defaults and reinstall.

Can I connect my Officejet 6500 E709a via the USB connection to my router 9100EM Ultraline series 3 model so that it can be seen by both of my PC, which is connected directly to the router via LAN Ethernet ports? If so, what measures are necessary? At the present time, the printer is connected via USB to a PC and the other PC cannot use the printer, unless the first PC is on.

I gave up on the online software update from HP for the Officejet 6500 E709a and removed it. So, I just use my old CD to install the printer, this time to install it as a printer wired ethernet, which worked. Thanks for trying to help.

  • HP Officejet 6500 hangs DNS on the router

Hello, I have an Officejet 6500 wireless printer.

Connected wireless Netgear router/switch/point of access.

Vai Comcast Internet. Linksys cable modem.

Set up the 6500 and everything worked very well at least a year.  Then, our Internet connection * appeard * failure on a regular basis, i.e. nobody could get websites since a browser (more information on the * appeard * in a moment).  Reset the router & modem should solve the problem for a while, then it would happen again.  This was once a month, but he came to the point where this happens several times a day.  Comcast, I called several times, they said that there is nothing wrong on their side.  I say Internet * appeard * to fail, because I dug into the problem, it became clear that I * could * access the Internet, also a long time I used IP base10, no name.  In addition, if a name/IP were still cached in a box I could go to this site.  I checked the config of the router and all the data is correct DNS.  PING of DNS servers is OK.  Yet, the only way to solve the problem is to reboot the router.  Thinking that the problem was in the router, I bought a new.  Also bought a new cable modem.  This changes nothing :-(.

Finally, I followed the source of the problem in the HP Officejet 6500.  By chance one day I restart the printer and DNS services, ignored, because the printer was the starter.  It is completely reproducible.  DNS works very well and turn the printer off, DNS still works well, turn on the printer, DNS fails.  EVERY TIME.  I tried this * two * wireless and wired network connection.  The same problem.  I installed the latest SW on the printer.  I installed the latest SW on the router.  I installed the latest on computer SW/drivers (although this does not appear to be part of the problem).  None of this makes no difference.

I am at my witts end.  someone out there has a suggestion?   I started to wonder if it's a problem of HW/default.

    Thanks for any help!

    Chris

That seems like a strange question.  I don't know how the printer would be causing this problem.

The printer can be set to use a completely different set of DNS servers that bypasses the regular DNS routers.

Try to set an IP and static DNS address by following step 5 of this document from HP.  The only setting I recommend the change to the document is the DNS servers.  Use the servers Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4) the printer to stop sending DNS queries to the DNS servers of the ISP.

This should force the modem/router to handle DNS queries to the printer as standard Internet applications.  If the printer is really at fault, it should stop it.

  • HP Officejet 6500 E710: How to create desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box?

I would like to create a desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box. I'm not a fan of the approach to Tile Windows.

Under Windows, 8.1, there was a desktop icon which allow me to connect to my Officejet 6500 unit and allow the scan to computer option. Who disappeared with the upgrade of Windows 10.

I ran the print and Scan doctor and it solved the problems. When I went to test scanning, it arises from the familiar dialog box where I could choose different settings.

It worked perfectly. But after having closed the doctor, I could not find any place to launch the new dialogue box, outside the doctor.

I downloaded and installed the scanning HP and Capture app. It works very well, but I rather not leaving office to launch it, or use it enough to justify the taskbar setting.

Is it possible to create a desktop icon for the application of scanning and Capture

    or

is there a way to create an icon to launch the dialog box scan that print and Scan Doctor uses?

    I prefer this one.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Is there a way to create the shortcut to scan on your desktop. Try the following steps:

    1. open a file Explorer

    2 C: > Program Files (x 86)

    3 program Files (x 86) > HP

    4 HP > HP Officejet 6500

    5 HP Officejet 6500 > Bin

    6 bin > Scanner HP

    7. right click on the analysis of HP and "create shortcut".

You'll get a prompt that "Windows cannot create a shortcut here.  Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?    Select "Yes".

    Hope that helps!

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709a with a wireless router

    Hello community of HP:

After asking the opinion of the Best Buy Geek Squad, I went out and bought a network printer. My Geek Squad agent said that a printer that can connect directly into one of the four ethernet ports in the back of the wireless router will be accessible to all the computers on my network wireless (as long as each computer has the appropriate drivers). There are six computers on the network.

I've assigned 192.168.1.3 as the IP address of the printer. When this laptop is connected directly to the router wireless using an ethernet cable, I can the two ping the printer on 192.168.1.3 and print documents. However, when I unplug the ethernet cable and use the wireless card to connect to the router, I can no longer ping this IP address or the printer printing.

I tried to contact e-mail HP support, and to understand the limitations of English secondarily, I feel that the agents are only picking up some parts of this question. Each agent that I talk to think that I want to connect the 6500 wireless to the router and kindly reminds me of other models of the 6500 what wireless network adapter support. Let me repeat that this is not the case. The printer is intended to be connected to the router directly via an ethernet cable.

The Windows Firewall has been disabled. I am running Windows XP SP3. There is no error message when I try to print when the computer is connected wireless to the router, but the documents are pending in the viewer of documents (right click on the printer icon and selecting 'Show all Active printers' reveals a queue of pages that my family has since tried to print before I told them the printer was not hooked up yet). Although this is not a wireless printer (see previous paragraph), I use a Netgear router with WEP 64-bit encryption. I have a feeling that it is a problem of port with this computer, but I can only confirm.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It turns out that the guy who set up my wireless network had sent a signal to the modem cable three ways through a separator when he should have used a router. Splitter ports were wired in the ports of wall throughout my house. The printer could not be accepted by a wireless router (wired or not) located right next to her because of this configuration. I just had to buy another router and which allows to divide the modem cable so that each port has a separate IP address. This corrects the problem, and it is not the fault of HP.

cable modem-> splitter--> 3-port ethernet wall separated in my house, which one had the router wired wireless<>

cable modem-> router-> 3 separate wall ports, which was responsible for the printer<>

    Hey @godlesv,

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I want to help you get your HP Officejet 6500 a more e-All-in-One printer connected to your wireless network.

The following article is an excellent resource for establishing connectivity to the printer:

How to find the password WEP or WPA key for your wireless network

In particular, I suggest that you check the WEP or WPA you use to connect to your network is exact (these passwords are always case sensitive and very precise).

In accordance with article supra, here how to:

Find the password in Windows 7

    1. Click on the wireless icon () on the taskbar.

    OlGrayMare,

Follow these steps in the order presented to cancel and delete a scheduled delivery printing application.

Important : you must cancel the application of expected delivery in ePrintCenter Print before removing the application. If you do not cancel the App first, scheduled tasks continue to print, even if the application is removed.
  • OfficeJet 6500 a: cannot connect Officejet 6500 wireless network has

I had my Officejet 6500 has connected to my computer cable for the past two years.  Now I'm setting up a wireless connection.  In the control panel of the printer, I have chosen settings - Web Services Setup - "Yes to allow to the Web Services-'Yes' to accept the terms of service.  So I wonder for a proxy address.

I followed several older directions found in the forums on how to set a proxy address, but have had no success.  (Including printing the Configuration Page of the network, which was supposed to give me the IP address of the printer, but didn't).  There are indications to unplug the printer, while he was still on, then wait 30 seconds before plugging it in.  Then I tried to unplug the printer while still on, then disconnect the wireless router while still on, wait 30 seconds, and then plug in the router, leaving the network back to the top, then plug the printer back in.

In the upper right corner of my control panel, there is a small symbol which seems to be the end of a cord.  So I guess that the printer is always set to a wired connection.  How can I reset for a wireless connection?  And when this is done, how to find a proxy address?  Thank you.

Again, I don't know why you do not see these menus. I suggest you call HP directly now.

  • Windows folder instead of the Officejet 6500 icon icon has more E710n in devices and printers

Can someone help me get the OfficeJet 6500 has more e710n printer to display correctly in devices and Printers icon?

I have recently reinstalled Windows 8.1.  However, when I installed my printer, the printer icon in devices and printers, I get a generic Windows yellow folder icon.  The Fax icon is OK, just the printer icon is wrong.

If I double click the icon, I get a blank page with a message near the top of the page saying: 'information updates are available on your device.  Click here to download or learn more. "If I click on the notice, a drop down menu appears with 'Download update of information' or 'Learn' more.  If I choose Update downloaded information, a new printer window appears which is often empty except for a message in the center of the window that says "no task is available on this page" to learn the most fair option gives me info on the update of drivers.

The icon of the printer in the start menu is fine.

I used HP Print and Scan Doctor uninstall and reinstall my printer, but it did not help.  The program finds a problem with the printer driver and the fixed, but that has not changed the icon either.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit fully up to date and used the full version of the HP Installer for the printer (not the basic version) and HP Print and Scan v4.6 doctor.
