HP Officejet 6500 Wireless-black line down the copied sheet

With the help of HP Officejet 6500 (E709n). When the automatic document feeder, copying copies resulting dating a (thin) continuous black line from the top of the sheet for any length, to 1 3/8 "from the left edge of the worksheet. Line does not appear when you copy directly from glass. Am not able to determine a way to access a possible source of problem (most likely a dirty friction roller). The original user manuals do not address this problem. Search for a solution. Thank you

  • All-in-one Officejet 4630: black lines at the copy and acanning

Hello... I just bought this all-in-one today, and it is printing very well.  The problem is with the copy and scan.  No matter if I place the original on the scanner or the top of the page, the result is the same... sheet is covered with black lines of variable thickness, running up and down the page, while the details of the actual document are barely visible underneath (or colored lines if I select color printing).

Not an expert tech by any means, so hard to solve this problem.  Have re-installed... rebooted the printer cartridges... try to print with a cartridge installed... nothing work so far.

Any help or advice is welcome and appreciated!

    Hi @D_Corbs ,

I see you got black lines during the scanning of the bucket and the ADF. I can help you with this.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

If the problem persists, please update the firmware of the printer. E-all-in-one printer drivers HP Officejet 4630.

  • Incoming Fax page, left thick black line down the side edge

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520 printer and had to return because of a wrong switch ON / OFF the printer.  So I returned and bought another. This second printer works perfectly so far!  However, when I recieive a fax, the page has a very thick Black Line crosses the length (less than an inch from top and down) on the left edge. It almost seems to be a template for a fax page?  The first printer (a returned) did not do that, but it does not appear on the second printer.  In addition, the original page fax I sent to my friend and he said, that it doesn't have a thick black line on the fax page, he gets... and then he sent me along a return fax with this black line appears.

    Comment of thoughts,

    Hello

For more than a week since my last post. And I also had the printer connected to an outlet of power strip surge protector (never needed to connect directly to a wall, which I would have if I had a problem).  The problem has been resolved by replacing the large black ink cartridge, which was not printing text.

In addition, earlier when I check the ink level, he showed the graphics still about 1/4 rest in the cartridge. I had also previously clicked on tell me when the ink level is low. None of this happened?  So now I have to watch closely what is printing a page of text clean/good.

So for now, the printer is good to go and I hope not to have more problems... thank you for your help!

  • OfficeJet 8600 Doc bac - line down the right margin when copy or scan

I have officejet pro 8600 premium.

When I print or scan from the document feeder, there is a line down the right side of the document printed or digitized, about an inch from the edge of the page.

The line does not appear when I use the flat bed.

He won't let a line from the original - just on the copy or scan when using the document feeder.

It happens when I scan my computer or copy to the screen of the printer when using the document feeder.

I just noticed the problem today.   It was working fine yesterday

    Thank you

This means that there is a place (dirt or tinted), on the ADF scanner glass. Try to clean the glass of the scanner ADF with fluffy. The ADF scanner glass is on the left side, under the ADF.

Yes, the warranty is still valid! I bought the extended warranty for the replacement. So I guess I will contact HP for a new printer.

  • Where was this black line down the Middle come from?

I have a black line in the middle of each page of a template that is visible in the PDF Export. Since it is a magazine model, is it supposed to be there?

    THX.

It's probably the edge of the page. When Acrobat poster towing pages you have the choice of a ditch or a black line between.

  • INCH BLACK LINES DOWN THE SIDES OF THE SCREEN OF MY LAPTOP SINCE THE INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS 7 NEED HELP... PLEASE

Ive just installed windows 7 on my copy of vista 64-bit. the thing is tho now my office is not whole screen on my hp laptop. It was fine with vista, but I am new to windows 7 and do not know what to change. Ive got two black line on both sides of my screen about an inch in size. HELP PLEASE

Right click anywhere on the blank desktop (not on an icon), and then select the screen resolution.

Under the box with the image of the screen the middle button label resolution with a value in the button X y. click on the arrow and is the slider at the top? The highest option "recommended" on this subject.

If the second answer is, the graphics card no doubt is not installed properly and needs a update driver because he did not interview the screen to get his abilities properly.

If this is the recommended option resolution corresponds to what you believe the display is capable of. Slide this setting and select apply and see if the black bars and the image fills the screen.

An LCD has a fixed number of pixels wide and high, and has a specific ratio. The standard reports are 4:3, 16:9 or 16:10. With black bars or the other side, it is very likely, the screen is a ratio of 16:9, but the graphical output is 4:3. Some stretch to fit other screens the black bands.

Any setting other than the good for the screen will produce a soft image with a loss of sharpness.

  • OfficeJet 6500 all-in-one - black line down page

Our newly purchased Officejet 6500 all-in-One is the production pages with thin black lines down the page about 2/3 of the way through the page (right side of page).  Is there a solution to this problem?

This was only happening with ADF.  After several cleanings with no changes, I found this forum.   After reading the plug on the glass, I went back and really clean the glass.  This has allowed the problem.  Thanks for the forum.

  • thin horizontal black line down page what scan on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

I've owned an HP Officejet Pro 8500 and scan was perfect.  I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

When I scan from the ADF HP 8600, I get a thin (several pixel wide) black along the lower edge of the analysis that results.  This line will be sometimes slightly twisted or appear only through half of the page, in which case, it tends to become thicker towards the edge of the page).  According to me, this line is an artifact of the analysis of the edge at the bottom of the original document.  I think it is to show where the bottom edge of the page was when parsing.  If the document is that a little offset, then the black line down will be a little twisted, probably following the edge of the page.  This issue is consistent and reproducible.  It is in the mode "Scan mail" and in mode 'Scan To Network Folder.

When I scan from the flat bed, I get a very narrow black line along the side of the analysis resulting very superior, but the background seems in good condition (although I have not tested this widely).

These fine black lines occurred when scanning the HP 8500.

I wonder if there is a setting to adjust it, or if it is a firmware difference between printers needs debugging.

    Hey KenAlker,

There are a few things I want to check if you have lines when scanning using the 8600. I see that mention you that lines appear both through ADF and flat glass. There may be something both of the glass sections used by this printer, but more often that otherwise, this isn't the case.

I would check if the printer is connected to a surge protector. If this is the case, then try plugging the 8600 in a direct outlet. Often the surge protector can cause this problem appears because the printer has a built.

    Also, try a hard reset:
    * Unplug the unit while the
Disconnect the other end of the wall socket direct
    * Wait 30-60 seconds
    * Plug the unit to the top

Also, try to take a look at the steps in the document found here.

    I hope this helps.

  • lines down the officejet pro 8600 copy

just got the officejet pro 8600 its great except when I copy there is a line down the Middle, but not when I print faxes reception could be tape somewhere?

This happens when you use the automatic document feeder to copy or scan?  This is probably a place on the strip of thin glass used for scanning with the ADF.  See the Solution 2, step 5 in this document.
