HP Officejet 7612: Problems scanning with Officejet 7612

I try to scan at 600 dpi in my scaner but is not working, it say something about a connection problem.

When I install it all first it kind a work, he said: the thing a problem conection but done analysis anyway.

I can scan at 300 dpi, no problem, but I really need of the 600 dpi or at least 400 dpi, which is not an option.

Anyway to fix this?

Hello @Barberi, thank you very much for your answer.

It looks like a problem with the drivers on your computer. Follow the instructions below to completely uninstall the current drivers and reinstall the MAC OS 10.11 drivers.

  • Click on 'Search' in the Dock.
  • In the menu bar, click OK, click Applications, and then open the HP or Hewlett-Packard.
  • If the HP uninstaller program is located in the folder, double-click it, and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.
  • If the HP uninstaller program is not in the folder, go to the next step.
  • Click and drag the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder to the trash icon in the Dock.
  • In the menu bar, click OK, click go to folder, type/Library/Printers, and then click OK. The Printers folder opens.
  • Click and drag the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder to the trash icon in the Dock.
    Restart the Mac.
  • Right-click or Ctrl + click on the trash icon, then select Empty trash.
  • Then go to http://hp.care/2cyaSUh and download the MAC 10.11 drivers and install them on your computer.
  • So try and scan using the new scan application installed with the drivers.

Let me know how it goes!

See you soon

    Hello

I'm having some trouble to configure the Keithley 2420 to sweep a range of Volt and measure the amps in a cell.

The vi attached check the polarity of the voltage, then measure the short circuit current and then performs a scan.

The program runs, but scanning seems to measure resistance and outdated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Incase anyone reads this, the problem was with the drivers Keithley 2400 do not turn off simultaneous measurement mode when you set up the type of measure. Even if I set the type of measure amps, he was still measuring ohms.

I still don't know why it uses default ohms.

Anyway, I solved this problem by using the ENS:FUNC:CONC OFF command with the Instrument i/o assistant after having used the driver concerned of Keithley VI to set all other settings.

  • Problems scanning with Photosmart 5510 on Yosemite Mac (OS 10.10)

I recently spent a MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air Yosemite running. My printer/scanner was perfectly compatible with the old machine, but nothing else that headache has provided on the new.

The printer actually works OK but the scanner consumed enormous amounts of time to fix it and still does not work.

I have installed and reinstalled the driver current time more than I can count. Sometimes the HP utility freezes and has to be restarted. Sometimes it just hangs. Sometimes, I have a screen similar to the one below showing that it has connected to the scanner and activated, but when I go to scan, I absolutely zilch.

Please help me solve this problem. I've posted about it a number of times, sent tech support several times and I wrote to the head of the tech group. I got response ZERO in five days and am almost ready to ban all products HP to my office to go always.

Hi there @HVDesigner , welcome in the community

I hope to be useful for the problems of scanning that you face with your new MacBook Air, Yosemite running. Before attempting any software troubleshooting more, I will suggest checking the material, reset the printer and the network (if you are connected).

1 reset the printer, and then make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help analyze. I was witness to a direct connection, only this type of fixing problem.

Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

    2. try power cycling network devices:
Turn off the printer and the computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press the buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, turn on the printer and the computer.

    3. a copy to make sure that the printer is in good working condition to continue software troubleshooting.

    4. If copies of work without a problem, try the following steps in order:

    1. Mac OS X: how to reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. Restart the Mac.
    4. Download and install the complete driver here: printer e-all-in-one HP Photosmart 5510d printer B111h/B111j full feature software and drivers
    5. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers

    5. try scanning with scans and software scanning HP should work now!

If by chance the scans do not work, please, give us a call.

  • Problem scanning with HP 6500 and OSX 10.9 (Maverick)

Does not my laptop MacBook Pro scan after that I downloaded Maverick OSX 10.9.  Analysis to preview, but does not send an analysis appropriate to the destination (for example, IPhoto).  I get a white or black table.  The scanner says no. Options of Scanner.  If I go to copy, and then again to scan, I can scan something manually.  FYI, something similar happened with my Epson Scanner the same day after I downloaded Maverick.

  • OfficeJet 6500 E710n problems scanning with Yosemite

I have a MacBook Pro of the retina mid 2012 and have used my Officejet 6500 E710n z via Air Print, but now I upgraded from the Mavericks to Yosemite my scan feature is limited to webscan, with very basic features (I can't scan any other method proposed on these forums). My questions are what software may be available for me scan from my MBP or is it possible to use another driver of scan to improve scan options? How can I stop the Officejet make mistakes of permissions on my hard drive? It is time to invest in a different printer (I hope not)

    Here are the steps I took so far;

I updated the firmware on my Officejet, this was to remove all the drivers of HP; Perhaps my biggest mistake, that I should let sleeping lying, but I wanted to print on custom paper and may now have the opportunity to do so at the expense of the ability to analyze correctly.

I repaired disk permissions hard so many times (I tried to repeat the steps or other suggestions people made on these forums). On the last two that my MBP doesn't shut down, the screen goes black and the keyboard lights stay lit.

I checked for software updates via the App Store. I noticed that it seems that HP did not produce software updated for this model of printing or scanning - which does not involve pilots Mavericks should work? In this case how would I be able to try again. Or HP can produce something in time (I feel that I have some knowledge on how to fix things, but always count on step-by-step assistance).

I feel also very stupid, like reloading eveything in my preferences, printers and scanners, I noticed a standalone scanner, but no printer. I removed it and found my all in one printer instead. Now I'm wondering if this virtual scanner could me the flexibility I want (like so many people, I hate havig things that only half of the work).

I hope I've offered a representation about what I do for two days and I hope that there is someone who may be able to help.

    Hello CLBMac,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to start by saying that it is a great information post. You mention that the printer is added via AirPrint, if that's the case, AirPrint will only print.

Since there is no option for you to install all software complete features of HP and drivers, you need to scan using the means of scanning Apple. Here are the different ways that you can scan: scanning in OS X v10.10 Yosemite without HP software.

You will need to have the printer added as with complete pilot offered by Apple, not the driver AirPrint. In order to you have the most recent software available, install this: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers.

Once installed, please remove the added printer like AirPrint (reset the printing system is an easy way, will also clearly be other printers, as appropriate), and then add the add new printer with the Officejet E710n driver.

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem scanning with HP Officejet 5610 all in one

I have problems with the scanning of documents.

Computer is Mac OSx Version 10.8.5 operting.

I use to be able to analyze only the documents that have been placed on the glass and I would press the button "scan" on the printer and the document would scan to my counter top.  I could not scan several pages by feeding in the upper part of the printer.  It was with my old Mac operating system.

Recently, I had the SW on my MAC update to OSx.  Now I can go into the settings of the printer and scan several pages unless I have a document in the feeder at top of the page.  But I can not put a single item on the glass, then press scan.  I get the error message is 'no scan options.  Refer to the documentation for the device to trobuleshoot.  Press ok. »

    Any help?

    Hi pbeachiii,

I'm sorry to tell you that HP does not provide driver support of technologies for analysis of your product on the Mavericks.  This solution does not provide support for the scan on the printer button.

You can ensure the best experience with your product by accepting the Apple software updates so that you have the latest available print and scan drivers.

Use the Image Capture or preview applications to begin analysis of your Mac.  With one of these applications, you should have the ability to scan from either the glass of the scanner or the document feeder.  You just need to specify the source for analysis as a parameter in the scanning software.

    Hope this helps,

  • Problem scanning with Elements 9

    Hello

I use PSE 9.0 on a Dell laptop running 64-bit Windows 7.  Also, I use PSE 5.0 on an old Dell desktop running Windows XP.  My scanner/printer is a HP Officejet 6500.

On the desktop using Elements 5.0, I operate the scanner using the menu File/Import. Gives me 2 options  Can I use "Officejet 6500 TWAIN" or "Officejet 6500" WIA.  These come up as menu choices.   I can put several documents in the sheet feeder, click on scan once, and all scanner pages in PSE5

On the laptop using PSE 9.0 I don't get these same options.  In the menu File/Import there is only 1 import via scan - "WIA Support" option when you click on this option, it takes you in a box where you can select the device you want to use (in my case - the same HP 6500).  When you click OK the menu scan happens.  The default value is always "flat", but it can be changed to "charger".  It scans very well - but the problem is that it scans only one sheet at a time, even with the document feeder selected instead of the flat option by default.  If you load 3 pages in the plug with PES 9 you must go through the scanning process 3 separate times.   With PSE 5, you click on analyze only once and it scans all documents loaded in the sheet feeder.

Needless to say, a series of analytical documents takes much more time than it does with PSE with PSE 9.0 5.0.

I'm doing something wrong?  Is there a setting I'm missing?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

PES 9 you must first install the TWAIN plugin before you can scan. Go to C\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Photoshop elements 9\Optional Plug-ins\Import-Export and move the driver TWAIN Adobe Plug-ins\Import-Export.

  • Problems scanning with Photosmart Plus B209a with os x 10.9

Recently introduced from PC to Mac.  No problem with the installation of the printer.  Can pull up to scan in the preview or the Image Capture, but not all the features seem to be present.  For example, I have no setting for several pages (i.e. 'add another page' which was available via the HP solution Center on the PC).   All I seem to be able to do is scan a page.  All them include printer drivers are up-to-date.  Help please!

In the Image Capture, make sure you click on the "show details" at the bottom right.  From there on, set the type of file to PDF format, and select the checkbox "combine in a single document.

  • Problems scanning with HP Photosmart 7520 and HP Deskjet 2450

I could have sworn I posted this earlier, but I can't. I have problems with scanning for computer with my 7520 and 2540. The scan of the computer does not work.  On the 7520 when I try to scan a document to your computer in PDF format, it works. When I scan in JPG format, I get errors. "The"Move Finder items"action has encountered an error" and "no connection" appears." I have two printers installed wireless and wired hard. Cable installation the "Scan to Computer" is enabled but does not work. On the wireless (Hello), it says "Scan to computer" is not enabled. Scan the small icon on the bottom of my screen does not have an option of the printer to use. This shows just the 7520. The only way I can scan almost anything with the 2540 is through the Web site. The strange thing is. I have a laptop wireless hung in the living room and I have no problem analysis to the computer with both printers. Just my office's problems. How can I fix?

A power failure may cause problems. We had a power outage yesterday in my area.

    Helen

    Hi @Helen

I'm glad to hear that they are working together again.

It seems that you may have an option "detect the separate components' selected somewhere in the settings.

Let's take a peek into the HP Scan for this feature, and if find you it clear.

I just checked a Mac I have access to and I found a setting that would do the same thing that "detect the separate elements", it is called point limits and is located in the culture section. If your article harvest limits element selected, change it to zero.

The parameter you want may depend on the Mac version you are running. If you can't find the options I identified above, let me know what version of mac you have, I'll do some additional research to find the solution!

Since we have not fixed the first problem, think about scoring the post that solved the problem like "Accept as Solution" if others in the community can find the solution easily. Thank you.

I can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • Problems scanning with c6150 all in one and Windows 8

I have a new touchsmart from HP running Windows 8. I have an old printer c6150 all in one. I downloaded and installed the latest software and drivers for 64-bit Windows 8.

I feel, copy and fax without problems. But when I try to scan, it freezes. It starts to scan and then just stops responding. I have to use Task Manager to quit the program. I tried the scan doctor and he says that there is a driver problem and it cannot communicate with the printer.

    Help, please.

I solved the problem. The USB cable from the printer was not quite long enough to reach the back of my all in one computer, so I bought a USB extension cable. That works fine for normal printing, but apparently only works well for scanning.

Once I connected the printer directly to the USB port on the computer, the scan function worked normally.

  • Problem scanning with HP 6500 a Plus

I had a brand-new HP 6500 has more and it prints well. However, when I tried to scan a document from the touch screen I get this message "connection error: the connection to the computer is down OR the HP scanning application cannot detect the OCR software.» Check the computer for more details". In fact, I was able to scan from the computer and I activate the scanner. In addition, nothing in my screen. What should I do? Please help me. Thank you

It is a farce of HP.  The problem has been around since the printer was released without a solution.  It works with XP but not windows 7.  It will not scan the computer, no matter what you do.  I finally bought a memory card I put in the printer and scanner to that and then read on this drive.

  • Photosmart 5525: Problems scanning with HP 5525

After installing HP 5525 in a wireless environment, everything works perfectly.

However, after 3 to 4 scans (made by the Panel of touch control on the 5525), the wireless connection between the HP5525 and the laptop disappears...

Anyone have an idea how this problem can happen?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You can try this:

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. On your PC, go to control panel configuration, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Type the IP address for the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

    Thank you.
