HP Officejet 8500, A909a series, scanning, fax or copy

Whenever I scan, copy or fax documents usning the auto feed on top of the printer, the documents resulting from this process themselves with a line down the center of the document.  What causes cela and how to eliminate the line?  If I use the glass screen, the documents do not have a line through them.

I would like to clean the scanner bed and the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) to remove any buildup that could cause this quality problem that you are experiencing. Pages 184 to 188 in the manual for your model of printer has instructions to clean all parts of the appliance that could cause the problem. I would start with the ADF since it is the part that is in use when you report the problem. Here is the link to your manual.

The printer Officejet 8500 A909 series does not work with ePrint. You can use the House ePrint and Biz app for Android and Semien devices or application ePrint for iOS devices. However, you cannot use ePrint itself. Sorry for the confusion. Here are links to the ePrint and FAQ Mobile applications compatibility list. Hope that helps.

My officejet 8500 A909a worked fine on windows Vista.  Suddenly he began to hesitate for a minute or two before starting to print.  Once it starts printing it seems to work ok.  I installed the new drivers and firmware to try and solve the problem but to no avail.  It almost seemed to get worse after that.

I try to install my Officejet 8500 A909a (that I have connected to my wireless network) on my laptop. I go to the tab drivers and software, select the correct printer, and brings it to the top of the page where it is supposed to compile the list of drivers. The page says "HP is compile your results." It could take up to 3 minutes, depending on the speed of your computer and connection. Thank you for your patience. "The page has been loading for more than 30 minutes without any search results. I tried to add the printer in the "devices and printers". The printer is recognized by the laptop, but do not print due to not having a driver. Help! • OfficeJet 8500 a 910 scan does not work with my Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.8

OfficeJet 8500 a 910 scan does not work with my Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  I tried to reload of apple and HP.  My drivers and software are up to date.  I tried to scan from preview, Capture and print browser.

    It worked finally.

Why doesn't HP have updated the drivers for a Macbook Pro 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?  I couldn't find one for 10.5 or 10.6 Leopard.  I tried everything I could find. I found a note on the edge of Disussion which suggested someone try a driver for another HP printer may be similar.  I found if I used the full program for Macbook Pro 10.6 Leopard I could scan.  The fax appeared to be installed via blue tooth.  I have not faxed anything, but it has been tested during the installation of the program.  Complete program of the HP I can't print.  I loaded via Apple an another whick of printer HP Officejet 8500 A910 allows me to print.  It is the only way that I could make use of my HP printer, scanner and fax.  Crazy, but I think it works and I can put some scans and, hopefully, fax to my Macbook Pro.  I appreciate the help.  Please encourage the HP programs and drivers for my Macbook Pro Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

  • Impossible to scan, fax, or copy of HP Officejet 6500 All-- E709a One in

I can print from my HP Officejet 6500 All - in - One-E709a, but I can't scan, copy or fax.  All drivers and updates are underway; No recent updates have been made before the problems that occur. I use Windows 7 64-bit.  When the printer is turned on, it still shows Original charge, but no documents are in the charger or on the glass (I already cleaned the glass and have ensured that the lid is tightly).  I have problems to scan, copy and fax. The automatic document feeder works.  I tried to reset the printer several times.

When I try to scan a document into the document feeder (it feeds through) or from the glass, I get varying answers - rarely, he asked well how I save/handle the doc (e.g., save them in pdf format), but the document does not actually scan and I'm headed to reload the document OR it displays no. Scanning Options. The document does not appear in my analysis.

When I try to copy, it shows the document as copy, but there is a long delay before the progress bar occurs.  When I copy using the document feeder, I actually get a copy (rarely and always disappeared - looking) or copy prints white - two results are always followed by an error message to reload the document.  When you copy from the glass, the copy print in white with an error message to reload the document

The same problems occur when you try to Fax.   If trying to scan, copy or fax, the printer does a lot of gears whirring noises.

Again, I can print a document from my PC without any problem, the problem is limited to scanning, faxing and copying.

I tried the doctor of printing & scanning HP.  It always stops at the HP Twain scanning stage, saying that the scanning process was cancelled by the user (not true).  When I click on continue, it proceeds to the stage of Test analysis, but nothing happens when I click the button of Scan Test.  It only will allow me to ignore at this point.   All the other steps show green checks.

My first question is really going to reach the merits of the case, I heard you say that the printer produces noise, but if you lift the bar A) trip through the screen and the light cover B) up?

In addition, perform both of these resets and I would like to know how they are!

I try to use my printer HP Officejet 8500 A909a on my rt Surface. My list of devices shows the printer, but indicates that it is not compatible with this version of Windows. I check the site of Microsoft for compatibility of this printer and it shows that it is compatible. I tried to vote that it is not compatible, and my vote never registered. What gives. This printer is supported in RT or not? If it is supported, how to configure it?

    Thank you

PCL3 drivers worked, thank you! Now, I can print my surface.

I tried a LaserJet driver and killed the job before he traveled all my desire to print a line of gibberish on each page.

  • HP Officejet 8500 A909a: HP Officejet 8500 A909a accepts most of the computer print control

I have had this printer for years and never had a problem.  Then he stopped accepting the scan command.  I went for the scanner and printing doctor and follow the guests, including the installation of the new software.  Now, it scans when ordered.

BUT it does not now print.  Not an image, not a document.

I was again through the guests of scanning/printing doctor, uninstalled then reinstalled the software.  But nothing!  However, if I put something on the screen of the printer and press the button on the printer, which will print.  Is simply not wanting to accept commands from the computer.

    Any ideas?

    Hello @Stellabelle,

    Thank you for your response.

Since you are using a USB connection, do not follow the steps I mentioned in the post above. Try the following steps:

    • Unplug the USB cable from the printer to the PC.
    • Go to Control Panel - programs and features and ensure that no printer Officejet from HP in the list entry. If there are, uninstall the same.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Click on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL31041/mp-88604-3/OJP8500vA909_Full_14.exe and install the drivers.
    • Connect the USB cable as long as you are prompted.
    • Try to print now. If further questions, go to the next step.
    • Go to http://hp.care/2c5YKY5 and expand "Manual steps to solve the problem" and follow the steps under "step 4: Verify that the correct port is selected.
    • Now, try to print and check.

    Hope that helps!

    Good luck

  • Black line through all pages HP Officejet 8500 A909a

We've had this printer for some time at the office and not even a week ago, he started printing with a black line across all pages. Normally, that would be a problem with the head of the cleaner. FAKE! He is not the head of the cleaner. It will print the computer without the black line, and when something is printed glass monitor it won't be a black line in my documents. The only time where it appears is when I print copies of the Lac. It also occurs when we fax some of our documents to some of our major customers and businesses.

We NEED this to work. What could be the problem? It must be well fixed as SOON AS POSSIBLE! It is urgent that I get a response on what I can do for this printer. Faxes should be sent each day of our office. I have just files accumulate on my desk. Help!

    Thank you!

There is a small section (about 1 "wide) of glass which is used for the ADF to scan.  It's just to the left of the main window, see this post for more details.  A stain on the glass turns into a line, as the paper is fed through the document feeder.  This section of cleaning should solve the problem.
