HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 not detected in Windows 7, connected via lan, works under XP

Hello

We have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909b, connected via local network with static IP address.

Using the installation CD, the printer and the scanner works fine under Windows XP.

Using the same CD of instalation, do the same steps, it does not get detected in Windows 7 64 bit.

At the end of the installation, there is a wizzard to find and select the printer. The printer is found,

but then a red circle appears saying that there was a problem. An icon is created on the desktop in order

to perform the same procedure, it is not detected.

Is there a problem with Windows 7 64 bit?

Thank you very much

Oliver

Solved!

  1. Right button on another printer ports, remove the IP address of the printer
  2. Uninstall all the HP drivers
  3. connection as the local administrator, not a domain administrator
  4. Install al normal, everything works well
  5. Then login as a domain user and use the scanner

I am connected wirelessly with a Hp Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer... And it prints, but message pops up everytime I open computer, or open HP solution Center.

Any help would be kindly appreciated - as this pop-up message won't go away.

I was hoping that the simplest method would work first.  I studied this carefully for you that I am aware that the missing files in your registry can cause this but I can't tell if this is directly related to the HP Solution Center or XP computer.  You are able to open the solution Center?  If so, then I do not recommend remove and reinstall the printer immediately if it is scanning and printing correctly.

Microsoft Forums gives a very long list of troubleshooting steps, but the reason it is suggesting that a clean boot is to make past the error.  I don't think it will fix actually.

This document entitled "Error 1706 - What Is It' had the same information I was looking for.  In the end, he recommends the purchase of a software computer cleaning, but if you read this document that tells where to find this missing file you and you can not find, I recommend the simplest method first which works simply on your XP Disk Cleanup (Start button > all programs > Accessories > system tools > disk cleanup) and restart the PC.  I really want to try to save the greater amount of time, and keep it as simple as possible.  Here is an example of the magnitude that it can get however.

Let me know if any of the simple methods do not work, and I'll give you the best recommendations on registry cleaning software.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more and Windows 8

    Hi all ~

Can someone tell what it means and walk in a fix?  (You know the question what our level of expertise...)

We had a HP Pro 8500 a desktop for a couple of years more.  We just got the HP TouchSmart with Windows 8, and while we can print from the computer very well, we cannot analyze.  Loading the CD for the printer, we get a message that says: "install cannot continue...". The operating system on this computer is not supported. Upgrade the operating system"

We do not know how to proceed.

    Thank you

Since you get an error that the operating system is not supported, you can benefit from getting on the HP site and download the package from there.  Here is a link directly to this site (US Version): HP Officejet 8500 has more full feature software and drivers.

In this link you will find all downloads of software available for the printer.

If you install the printer with a USB cable, disconnect the plug before you continue.  I would like to know if I can be more useful.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 not low ink printing

I have printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g all-in-one wireless.  I use laptop computers with Windows XP 32-bit, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I received an error message "Unable to print" - replace the following ink cartridge to resume printing (HP 940 M).  I replaced the single cartridge and all the cartridges and still have the error message.  I thought that maybe the Magenta Ink Cartridge, I bought was the problem and I tried another new cartridge of ink Magenta.  The error message was always the same.

I followed the "solving a problem" to "replace following the empty ink cartridge after I installed a new cartridge.

I even replaced the printhead to see if it would fix it, but no resolution.  Before replacing the print head, I could see the ink levels and he would show levels of ink full and empty intermittently.  Now it is blocked by the error on the screen and neither will meet press OK and continue.

This could be the cause of this error message?  You have a solution?  Is that all I can try to correct this error message?

    Dennis

It sounds like the problem of reading ink cartridges could be caused by a bug in the firmware of the printer. There are a few things you can try to clear the glitch. First of all, make sure that you have the latest firmware installed in the printer. I'll link the instructions below. If the problem is still there after that, try to do a hard and partial reset. Do the hard reset first and if that does not work, proceed to the partial reset. If none of that works, the printer is locked on the error and must be replaced.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 will not scan to folder - Windows 8 Pro

I upgraded my HP M9500Y PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro.

My printer is HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910.  In Windows 7, all the functions of print/scan/fax worked perfectly.

Windows 8, printing without problem, however, analysis of the file function fails.

When a document is scanned, the printer seems to be analysis correctly, but the destination folder contains a file of length zero with the new file name.  I tried the formats PDF and JPEG scans.  All attempts to produce files of length zero in the destination folder.

I tried to change the path of the destination folder by replacing the address IP for the name of the PC, but that made no difference.  The destination folder is shared correctly on the Windows network and the configuration utility based on the web of HP for the digitization of records indicates that all tests have passed.

What is the sequence of installation for Windows 8 will accept scan-to-folder operations.

  • My HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 cannot locate my network computer that you want to scan.

My HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 runs on Windows XP, wired network.  It allows to print from my desktop workstation, however, the printer will not locate my computer workstation for scanning.  I can't find any way to enable the analysis of the it function on the shortcuts the scanning HP or an HP printer connection.  I rebooted both my workstation and the printer, but still no connection for scanning.  Printing works fine.

    Hi hhcubed,

You will need to open the stock Scanner Solution Center and then click on enable the Scan to computer

    Hi mdewitt,

I appoligize we do not have a program scrub for this software package. I would like that restart you the equipment in the following order. Turn off the router, printer & computer and reboot the router. Once the router is completely reloaded start the printer and the computer. Let me know if you can scan using the HP software. If you are unable to scan using the HP software open paint and try scanning from Microsoft Paint.

Thanks for any help out there.

    Patti

    Hello Patti, there.

Only, I stumbled upon your post on your Officejet Pro 8500 not to print all pages in a document for you. I noticed that you ran printing and scanning Dr. temporarily fix the problem.

I suggest completely uninstall the printer software using a level 3 to uninstall and reinstall the printer on your system.

Side note: complete a level 4 is only available if you don't have a computer HP or other HP device installed on your computer. A level 4 will remove completely all files in HP. If you don't have a computer HP or other HP device, level 4 is OK to run.

Here are the steps and the tools I recommend:

    1. uninstall - HP Officejet software and driver removal utility

(Run, extracted, and then select uninstall_L3)

    2. restart your computer manually if the uninstaller does not restart it.

    3. Replace with one of the following methods:

Driver and complete software of HP Officejet Pro features

HP printer install wizard for Windows

  • Mini 110 and driver OfficeJet Pro 8500 wireless

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8500 909 g installed a few months, and it works very well with three laptops from Dell and a Dell desktop computer using the wireless connection.  Then, I bought an HP Mini 110 and tried to install the drivers for the 8500 from the disk provided with the 8500.  During the system check that the installer has determined that the screen resolution of 1024 x 576 of the Mini 110 was insufficient and demanded a screen resolution pass at 800 x 600.  Tried installing online - same problem w / ground 1024 x 576.  Got in a chat online with an HP technician - it offered to download and install the HP DeskJet 990c driver and gave me clear instructions on how to do so, claiming that he was 'the solution '.  While I am has not opposed in principle to 'the solution', I asked too many questions and either it bailed out put or the session has expired.

    The questions are:

    (1) the 990 c driver is actually a viable solution?  Some other threads I've read indicate that "mixing and matching" printers and drivers can have unexpected and unwanted results.

    (2) I've read how to 'force' a change of screen resolution of 800 x 600, which probably (?) will I would install the 8500 drivers - but what happens if I change the sdcreen back to 1024 x 576 ground?  The ration of aspect printer or the print size or appearance get all messed up?

    (3) why does it matter even the resolution of the screen?  Is it a question of WYSIWYG?  If it does so then 1024 x 576 ground is going to be a problem w / almost any printer, is not?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Don

The software requires a minimum of 800 x 600 resolution so that the HP software can be completely visible on the screen. If the vertical resolution is less than 600, then there is a chance of the window not being is not completely visible, and so you may have problems using the scanner software. Follow the document below to force the resolution to 800 x 600 temporarily to install the software. Once you change the resolution back to the native, the software will work, but the window CAN be cut and not be entirely visible.

  • HP officejet Pro 8500 909: HP Officejet Pro 8500 909 has not scan after downloading Windows 10

About 6 weeks ago, I downloaded Windows 10.  Today, I tried to analyze something and received the message "no Scan Options".  So I tried to go to the Hp Solution Center and who do not respond. When I was on Windows 7, I have had no problem scanning or with the HP Solution Center.

    Hello

You will probably need to reinstall the HP software after an upgrade of the operating system.

Please follow the steps for exactly the problem and check for the difference:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8500-all-in-one-printer-series---A9/3752454/model/3752455/document/c04714314/

Section ' can not analyze after upgrade to Windows 10 "should apply, or the"HP solutions Center can not run"or 'Scan is busy or in use' error with a connected printer"if it's the exact specified error when you try to open the HP solution... Center.

If you need to uninstall the HP software, uninstall it by running the following remove utility Uninstall_L4:
