HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g - touch screen ' back arrow ' & 'Home' icons do not respond.

The touch screen on my brand new (3 days of use) HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g does not work well. I am able to select an option, for example, the 'settings', but I can't go "before"through screens - the 'back' arrow, or the icons 'Home' of work." Whenever I want to get in another section of the configuration, I power the machine off and back on to see a menu of 'House' cool touchscreen.

This seems to be a hardware problem. You should maybe contact the HP Support (1800-474-6836) or taking it back to the store. Well, here's a link you can follow and help with this question. This can solve the problem. Let me know the results.

    Hello

I have an officejet pro 8600 and the touch screen has a very annoying attribute. The touchscreen overlay coincide with the screen itself. On the left side, the overlay is in the correct position, but when you move to the right the overlay gets more and more mismatch of whats on the screen. For example, when the screen is showing a keyboard it is indeed impossible to type a '0' (zero) as 1 mm from the right side of the overlay gives a "9".

I used to have a windows device THIS old iPaq you rebooted it asked you at each of the corners touch in turn so that he could align the screen with the touch screen overlay. The more than 8600 there any possibility to align the overlay, perhaps with a downloadable application, or am I stuck with not be able to use certain bits of functionality on the printer because the overlay align properly?

    Stuart Watton

Sorry, but this printer does not have the opportunity to download an application, or align the touch screen. It is more of a hardware issue, and you must contact the Support HP (1800-474-6836). I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 n911g stops and you need to restart the spooler on Win Xp

    Hello

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g printer.  It is networked and I put the static IP address on the printer.

I have a user with about once a day to restart the Windows print spooler service so that tasks start printing.  I loaded, uninstalled and reloaded the Windows XP drivers.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

Have you used the latest version of the software on the HP site?

If not, uninstall the printer from programs > HP > printer folder and then install the latest version below:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-108858-3&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=228&product=4323648&sw_lang=

I suspect also any security program which may block the network connection (assuming that by the description of problem on a single user), temporary disable any software firewall running and check if that can cause printing to stay in spool it print.

Try to run the HP print and Scan doctor, click on network > firewall help and make sure any firewall running is disabled, then follow Fiox print and check what is happening:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-109037-2&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=228&product=4323648&sw_lang=

If still the same I guess rather the envoirnment of the OS, you can try running Microsoft Fixit to diagnose service print spooler for questions and automatically check if this can help:

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g: Officejet Pro 8600 Plus software

I have the ability to print from the computer, so I know that the drivers of HP printer work.  I also checked that I can run a scan from the printer and the computer using the icon "HP Scan" through the start menu.

The problem is that I can't run HP software suite via the desktop shortcut icon or the icon of the file in the source of the printer folder.

The printer is connected via an Ethernet cable to the network from home.  I deleted and reinstalled the software suite, and when he arrives to find the printer, it fails.  When I plugged in the name of the product he couldn't find so I used the network address (192.168.1.4 - off the Test Page from Windows printer), and it continues the installation until it appears at the end.  It places the "HP Officejet Pro 8600" icon on my desktop as well as its 'Supplies - HP Officejet Pro shop' icon.  If I click on the "Shop supplies - HP Officejet Pro" icon, it takes me to the appropriate supply online store input screen.  When I double click the icon "HP Officejet Pro 8600", it gives me very briefly the windows just 'work' swirl but does not open the software application.

I tried to uninstall the printer using Windows "Devices and printers" Control Panel, and then deleted the HP using "Programs and features" software, and then reinstall everything using new drivers and software HP through their web site.  This has not changed the symptoms or outcomes.

    Hi GL1800A,.

One last thing, you can try, if you wish, is to go through this guide, HP monofunctional and Printers Multifunction - HP Printer Wizard opens with an error in Script or in Notepadand try the fix that is provided.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 n911g: ink level 8600 rest from scratch with new 950XL

My black cartridge in my 8600 printer ran out of ink. I had already replaced all the colors of three cartridges with a 951XL defined, a month or two ago, and the process went smoothly as planned. Today after replacing the black cartridge, adjustment noise seemed short, and the façade is estimated ink level zero rest.

    I tried the following diagnosis:

    -Reinsert the black print cartridge

    -Reinsert all four cartridges

    -market power

    -a second new HP 950XL

    -test page

    -the print head alignment

    -clean the printhead

-Printing HP and doctor Scan, install and run - prompted me to update software - which did not fix the problem

Print quality seems good on the test pages. I can only assume that the printer works satisfactorily, but I prefer to resolve this problem and eliminate the uncertainty of my use of the printer. Please suggest how I might solve this problem.

I have OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911n, Firmware version: CKP5CN1334ER and having problem with print jiberish characters on top and bottom of pages on each page. I tried to update Firmware on the HP website. CLP1CN1322CR I got the same error message. The PC is 'Not Applicable' on the Web similar to that shown above and unity iteslf he keep control of updates forever and never finished.

Printer was fine until a last week, he began to print chracters crazy at the top of each page not only PC printing, even from copy, or internal reports the same result.

What is happening on the HP?

    Hey there again!

Could you try a reset of the power and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help to solve this problem on its own.

Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Make a copy or two and let me know if you still see characters garbeled on copies?

Also tell me if you are still in warranty.

  • problem with Officejet pro 8600 N911g ePrint

I'm trying to install eprint on my officejet however I have questions. I went into my settings to printers via the IP address and when I click on activate ePrint, it says this:

Unable to connect to the server.

Check the Internet connection and try again. Or contact your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.
If your network requires a proxy server address to connect to the Internet, click Proxy enter or check your browser settings.

As far as I know of I do not use a proxy server address. I have Cox Cable internet and have set the IP to my computer/printer to static. All other work well i.e. wifi printing, iphone/ipad and ext.

    Thank you

    Danny

The steps below a usually resolve the problem you are experiencing:

    1. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.

    2. unplug the power cord at the back of your router (and the modem, if they are separated from the router).

    3. wait 20 seconds, then plug the router (and the modem, if necessary) in.

    4. wait for 30 seconds, then plug the printer back and power.

    5. press the button on the front of the printer ePrint, and it should try to connect to Web Services again.

These steps usually fix the problem, but if it persists, you can try definition of network information static for the printer (which is sometimes useful to stabilize the ability of the printer to get outside of your network to the internet):

    1. tap the wireless at the top of the screen of the printer and note the IP address.

    2. Enter the IP address in the address bar of a web browser on a computer and press on enter or click the go button browser.

    3. the printer status page must be open.  Click network in the upper part.

    4. click on networking on the left.

    5. Select the Proxy settings.
Note: If you are prompted for a redirect, click OK.  If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that allows you to continue anyway.
If you receive an internal system error, refresh the page until it loads the proxy settings.

    6. check that all fields are empty.  If they are not, make them disappear and make sure that the Proxy Server requires authentication is unchecked and click on apply.  You should get a success message.

    7. click on the network address (IP) on the left.
Note: If you only configuring IP address and DNS address with a yellow note Configuration, refresh the page until it loads completely.

    8. leave automatic IP IP address Configuration.

9 change the DNS address to the manual DNS Server Configuration.

    10. enter manual for the manual preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for auxiliary DNS.

    11. click Apply and you should get a success message.

    12. turn off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it on again to force the new settings take effect.

    Hello
Gmail offers several options of security which are not supported by the printer and it will block to connect to their servers.

First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you are facing problems of implementation.
    https://myaccount.Google.com/

In the section connection & security click on signature in Google and make sure 'The 2-Step check' is defined as 'Off '.

In the left pane click on connected applications & sites and make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'ON', otherwise the check fails.

In the left pane click peripheral activity & notifications, within the "security events" section click on the link to control events and make sure there is no connection blocked attempt (it will be highlighted in red), if there is no warning, proceed to the screen to ensure there is no block for this device.

Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.

    Kind regards
    Shlomi

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g: 8600 Officejet more connection WiFi

When I look at the WiFi signals available on my cell phone, I see my printer is a WiFi signal (name: 'HP-Print-20-Office'), but it asks for a password and I don't know how to enter the system to change anything.

I know somewhere I should be able to communicate with a web server of HP to rest my password for my registered e-mail address. But I have not yet found.

    Any suggestions?

I finally found! I had to go on Youtube to find videos downloaded HP on how to print the configuration page, that you have suggested. She provided a procedure step by step on how to find the network configuration Page. The password is a series of numbers, not a word or phrase that I thought it might be. I am officially connected with more signal and speed. Thanks for your help.
