  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Wireless Configuration - print is in the queue, then disappears. Do not print

I just got the Officejet Pro 8600 as a gift and burden of implementing software and it on my wireless network.  When I try to print an e-mail or a coupon, the command changes to the printer and indicates in the queue. Then after a few seconds, the print queue (work) disappears without printing the document.  This command goes to the HP ePrint feature or the Officejet Pro 8600 network?  It shows the HP ePrint as being on USB.

I have run all the Diagnostics, downloaded all the new software, software packages and updates.  I spend several hours trying to get to the printer.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless, Mac OS 10.7.2 can't get it configured to run wireless

I have an iMac OS Airport Extreme and an HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Router 10.7.2.  Recently, I replaced my router with an Airport Extreme.  My printer installation CD is for OS 10.4 or 10.5.  I'm trying to configure the 8000 wireless but without much luck.  As I understand it, the HP 8000 Installer is now included in OS 10.7.  I followed some of the elements of an another post about it with OS 10.6.  Somehow I can't get to the place were the installation of the printer asks me to choose a network.  I have updated all the software, installation of a printer connected to a USB cable.

I figured this out (with the help of the Doc print "is there driver for Deskjet 3050 for Mac OSX 10.7).  Once I stopped thinking like the approach of Mac OS 10.6 with a hp utility things were easy.

    -delete all printers already implemented

    -rub the old hp software

-Unplug the usb cable from the printer if you have connected

-restore the network printer hpsetup (press the power button / stop, network 2 x button, cancel 3 x, output power)

-Print the wireless network test report (updated 2 x key and press the network button). Check the ssid is hsetup

-change the mac to hpsetup wireless network

-go to the sys pref > print scanning

    -Add the 8000 printer

-Click options & supplies, and navigate to the printer Web page

-use the network wizard and change the network of hpsetup to your network

    -finishing

-Return to the sys prefs and change the network to your network

-go to the printer and print the wireless network test report (updated 2 x key and press the network button).  Make sure that the SSID is your network

-try to print something on your printer.  It might take a bit of time first impression.

  • Several problems: OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless

We bought a HP OfficeJet Pro Wireless for our two Macs and it has been a nightmare. I searched the forums and help guides and hope you can help me solve problems.

It takes 10 minutes to start the printer each time. There are many ringing and noises.

Once it's finally, finally upon it still cannot print. I then usually to reinstall the software from the CD using the USB cable and not wireless for its work, which it will then be exactly once before that I then need to use the printer, turn it on and it will not print.

I tried all the configurations that I can think of nothing doesn't.

Currently, I just turned on and I have a message saying the printer is low on ink and I can't print. I have used this printer exactly 5 times, and there is no way that it is out of ink.

I apologize if I look petulant, I have simply never had these problems with any material and am worried that we have made a very bad investment. I'd appreciate someone really can give advice.

    Our facility is:

Portable Mac and office, the two leopard running

Wireless via a BT Homehub router

    OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless

    Thank you very much! -Rachel

I understand your frustration.  Here are some tips:

    1. do not turn off your printer.  If you MUST activate it offshore, it is with a power strip or unplugging the power cord.  Your printer will use ink (and a little of it) to start each time you put it on.  This is particularly true if the printer do not have power during his time off the power.  You will bleed your dry ink cartridges very quickly this way.  All the rumbling you hear is the sound of suck ink through the nozzles to clean them.

    2. set a static IP address for your printer.  Choose a number outside the range 192.168.1.64 to 192.168.1.237 than your HomeHub uses to deliver dynamic IP addresses.  192.168.1.50 is a nice round number.  Here's how:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-Click on the manual button IP and enter:
    for the IP address 192.168.1.50
    255.255.255.0 for the subnet
Let the gateway and DNS white
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

Remove and re-add the printer in the print queue:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Select the printer in question and click the sign less down the list
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

If this does not work, do the same thing, only instead of the second stage, right (control), click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless - pop-up window does not disappear

To start the computer, a window pop up keeps saying "Please wait while Windows configures Document Viewer.

Then he said: "Insert the Document Viewer disk error 1706 no valid source could be found for the viewer of documents produced."

I am connected wirelessly with a Hp Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer... And it prints, but message pops up everytime I open computer, or open HP solution Center.

    Running on Windows XP. -

Any help would be kindly appreciated - as this pop-up message won't go away.

I was hoping that the simplest method would work first.  I studied this carefully for you that I am aware that the missing files in your registry can cause this but I can't tell if this is directly related to the HP Solution Center or XP computer.  You are able to open the solution Center?  If so, then I do not recommend remove and reinstall the printer immediately if it is scanning and printing correctly.

Microsoft Forums gives a very long list of troubleshooting steps, but the reason it is suggesting that a clean boot is to make past the error.  I don't think it will fix actually.

This document entitled "Error 1706 - What Is It' had the same information I was looking for.  In the end, he recommends the purchase of a software computer cleaning, but if you read this document that tells where to find this missing file you and you can not find, I recommend the simplest method first which works simply on your XP Disk Cleanup (Start button > all programs > Accessories > system tools > disk cleanup) and restart the PC.  I really want to try to save the greater amount of time, and keep it as simple as possible.  Here is an example of the magnitude that it can get however.

Let me know if any of the simple methods do not work, and I'll give you the best recommendations on registry cleaning software.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not detect network

My Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless suddenly doesn't work when connected via USB.  Don't try to re-run the HP Installation Wizard, the program reports no network detected (if the printer is right next to the Macbook Pro, which has a full signal from the network).  If I manually enter the SSID he says that he finds not only the network.  Network Configuration AMPe reports

    Network offline status

    802.11 wireless status disconnected

    Wireless on COLLAR

    Wireless works FAIL

Network name (SSID reported no run)

    0 detected wireless networks

The blue wireless light is turned on.

    Any suggestions?

I appreciate the try, Dean, but again did not make a difference.

I talked to tech support and they put me through presses the button to reset the network settings and then drain power printer, and I'm back in business.

Can someone clarify this for me... just want to be sure I have a good model... works well, but the difference of $10 I can come back to Staples for the 8710.

These are only differences commercial for the same printer, which may apply to different retailers or regions.

  • Officejet pro 8500 wireless print envelope

2750 old boy had a slot "envelope" in the output tray to make unique envelopes.  Which was very convenient.  My brand new 8500 had no such "slot" and it seems that I have to remove all of the paper in the tray to put one envelope in!  That makes sense to me, but I'm not just any housing "simple envelope" anywhere!  Is it possible to print one envelope with the officejet pro 8500 wireless without having to use the tray itself?

    Thank you

    DrBillS

I HAVE THE ANSWER THAT WE ALL NOW!

If you're like me: I am running Windows 7, using Microsoft Word 2007, and you have the Officejet Pro 8500.

I just spent the last hour on the phone with a customer service very friendly Rep who tried to help me to print without margins on an envelope. I have try on mail merge and include a return address printed in the upper left corner and a printed stamp sorted in the right corner. Whenever I want to print it would create a margin on the left and right side.

She thought at first it was a software problem with Microsoft Word 2007, because in his version of Word 2003, she could print borderlessly. But I then created an envelope in Photoshop and tried printing without margins. Once more, it would create a margin on the left and the right that was a little more "5/8 of an inch. In fact, the exact margin size is 0,6875 ".

Anyone else having the same problem? I'm sure you are.

HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU WANT TO PRINT WITHOUT MARGINS ON AN ENVELOPE:

    (1) choose a new document in Word 2007, then choose Virgin doc 'LETTER' (no envelope)

    (2) a set of left margin: 0,1875 (Yes it's small!)

    (3) a set of right margin: 1.5

    (4) set the top margin: 2.1875

    (5) also set the bottom margin: 2.1875

    (6) turn the grid if you see your work area.

The grid can be enabled in the 'View' menu and then select the gridlines check box. If you hold down the 'alt' key, you can move objects (such as text boxes) without having to align them on the grid.

Create your envelope, then print. Essentially what you are fooling your printer to think you are printing on a letter for an envelope printing in reality. I need to print 1000 at a time, so it was do-or-die because I just bought this printer and love the speed at which it prints in color. especially on the functionality of the project.

    Good luck!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8710:8710

Just got a 8710 OfficeJet all-in-one, and when I use the scan key on the control panel of the printer, scanner, it stores the files in your My Documents folder.  Is it possible to change where he recorded at?  I know that I can change where to save the files using the desktop icon and do a manual scan. But it always goes back to my documents for later analysis. How to change the file permanently? Thank you.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Yes, you can change the Destination folder.  First make sure you have your software installed features FULL.

You can download from this link if you have not installed the software FULL of features.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-series/7902014/model/7902015#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

    1. to the user of Scan interface, select "Save to PDF" and then click on "More" (upper right corner)

    2. Select 'Destination', enter the destination under the 'Save to Folder' folder, don't forget to "Save"!  Subsequently, all analyses are saved in the folder - and "Scan to Computer".

    Hope that helps!
