HP Officejet Pro L7680 - Analyze Menu

Hi - the menu scan, used to give several options including "scan to file" - now offers only menu: 1 Scan & print 2. Scanning to device memory - how to get back the full menu?

Try to run the diagnostic utility scan and solve any problems that arise.  www.HP.com/go/Tools

I have a few PCs in a network running on Windows ME, and I would get very BASIC printing, connect to a HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-One color in the same network. I don't have scanning or fax, only very basic print options. Suggestions how to recover a basic driver?

    Thanks in advance

All you have to do is to add a TCP/IP printer to the printers IP address port and install the HP Deskjet 990c printer driver included with ME (?). which should help you to print.

I started my printer and it won't print in black.  Don't copy in black no more.  Test page does not work and the color works very well.  I changed all the cartridges, so it isn't the ink... No idea what is the problem?  He served 6 months off and disconnected.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7680 AIO: OfficeJet Pro L7680 AIO DRIVER will be available for Windows 10?

(NOTE: you don't list Windows 10 64-bit under the above operating systems.)

I have an OfficeJet Pro L7680 AIO running Windows 7.  It has been a wonderful printer.  (I started to work on printers in 1966, so I have some experience with them).  Its quality and reliability have been superb.

When I "upgraded" to win 8, I found that no driver was, so I bought a new HP AIO, but its controls were so poor and hard to see that I returned it immediately.   Then I returned to Windows 7, a good solid o/s.

Now, I'm thinking 'redevelopment' of Windows 10.  I had assumed that no driver for my L7680 would be available, but I read somewhere that one became available for Windows 8.1 (?)

My question is: a driver Windows 10 will be available for my excellent L7680 AIO?   Or do I have to stay on Windows 7 to use it?

Windows 10 is not quite finished yet, is not clear what will be included.  (Last week there were three versions of the builds on the fast ring.)  The last public version includes a printer HP Officejet Pro L7600 Series driver.

Page www.hp.com/go/windows10upgrade no details, but said toward the end of July for more information on what will be officially supported in Windows 10.

  • All-in-one HP OfficeJet Pro L7680: it has an internal memory?

Same question as the last message for a printer differnet model (sorry for what may seem like a question in double - I'm trying just to be sure that I don't cause me a headache later).

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 all-in-One (FAX, Scan, Print, Photo) I would like to get rid of him.  Before disposing of it, and for reasons of security, I would like to know if there is an internal hard drive that could potentially be storing all I can have copied, scanned or faxed.

Hello sixmil5and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have concerns about the internal memory of the printers.  Memory is automatically reset when the printer is disconnected, so you have no problem with personal information being recorded.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums and please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7680 Allin1: Software for HP all-in-One Printer

I have a HP all-in-one Officejet Pro L7680, and every now and then it disappears from my computer Windows 7 64-bit.  It is removed from the list of printers in any program use to print something, and it has also disappeared from the list of printers and Windows devices.  The center of HP Solutions icon cannot access the computer and gives an error message saying that the printer is not completely installed.  Printing software is always on the computer, in order to reinstall the printer, I have to go through the process of uninstalling all software before installing again from scratch.  I thought I had all the printer installed updates, but there may be something I don't know. I know how to uninstall and reinstall from scratch - I will do now - but this product every two months, and I would like to avoid having to do that later.

Help or advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

I add this addendum to the message a day after posting the original message in order to provide additional information.  Yesterday, I removed and installed from scratch print drivers.  I ended up having to do this three times.  Each time, I managed to install the complete printer very well, but when I installed updates (directly or in the past), the printer drivers "disappeared" in my list of printers and it was not accessible more programs I need to print things (processor or browsers).  After the disappearance, I deleted programs and reinstalled.  In the end, I chose to not not to install updates because that has caused the printer to disappear.  I was able to print.  However, today when I booted up my computer, the printer was 'gone' again.  I deleted the drivers (using windows 7 uninstall a program function) and I reinstall drivers again, but given the speed at which the printer is missing, I'm not optimistic that this will work for a long time.  I don't know all major changes I made to my computer recently that could possibly cause the disappearance of the printer suddenly occur so frequently.  I get Windows updates each week.  Hmm.    Another note - after installing the drivers yesterday so I could print, I created a "restore point" on my computer.  Today, when the printer was "gone", I tried to restore to the restore point, but the restore process has failed.  That's why I have to reinstall the drivers again today.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Thanks for letting me know.

Let's start with the instructions I posted, but change a few steps: please do not follow the steps in RED

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type % temp %
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Download the software and choose Save as, save to desktop > OJProL7X00_Full_14.exe
    4. Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error fix
    5. After step 3 and extracted downloads software, open the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
    6. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    7. Open the Util folder
    8. The CCC folder
    9. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer no HP run the L4uninstall.exe

Instead of the procedure described in the reading, please uninstall the software by following the steps in this link: uninstall the printer software Instructions

Now, you can return to pick them up to step 10 and complete all the steps of the procedure.

  • "HP OFficejet Pro L7680 turns off and won't turn back on"

HP OFficejet Pro L7680 turns off and won't turn back on.

    Hello untech,.

I see it's been a while since you have posted with us on the HP Forums.  Please, let me take a moment to say "Welcome Back".

I see that you have a problem with the printer l ' auto turn off and not turning it back on.

You happen to have the printer power cable connected to a power strip/bar?  If so, please try to connect the printers power cable directly to a wall outlet.  Here is a document that explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

The printer in the document is a LaserJet printer but this document is intended for HP products in general and only use the LaserJet printers for example.

I'll also include a document indicating when the HP printer will not be running or to respond when the power button is pressed.

If by chance the problem is not resolved after you complete the steps described, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

Please do not hesitate to write me again if you have any other questions.

I wish you a great Monday!

    See you soon,.

  • My HP Officejet Pro L7680 print a blank page before every PDF print job

My HP Officejet Pro L7680 print a blank page before every PDF print job, regardless if it's a PDF I create or a tht is sen for me.  All PDF files behave in the same way. The Document is good, but its annoying to have to go out the blank sheets and put back them in the printer.

    Hello @RMorley,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand that when you print pdf documents on your HP Officejet Pro L7680, it prints a blank page.

There could be a few things gong here, we will make sure that you have not configured it to use a separator between the draw sheet:

    1. go to your devices and printers

    2. right-click on your JO L7680

    3. navigate to printing properties

    4. click on the Advanced tab

    5. click on the Separator Page

It was empty or was there something put there? If something is listed here please delete and apply the changes.

If there was no set of pages of separation, I would like to you to perform printing and scanning doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools- it was designed by HP to offer users troubleshooting and characteristics of fix needed to solve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan the products related to Windows computers.

The PSDR find something, let me know the results?

If you still print the extra, please check the size of the paper, that is - this currently fixed at?

Please let me the following information if you still get the blank page before prints:

    1. What is your current operating system, Windows or Mac and what version?

    2. What is the connected printer, USB or wireless?

    3. If you print from the internet or e-mail you get the blank page or documents?

    Thanks again,

  • All-in-one Officejet Pro L7680 suddenly leaves impression

My HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one was printing and then abruptly stopped. In the print queue window, it says 'printer ready '. Under the heading "job info", it says "ERROR: / private/etc/cups/interfaces/HP_Officejet_Pro_L7600 failed."

That's all. No additional inequality at all. I searched online for anyone with a similar problem and could not find anything related.

Also, as a side note, when the printer was working before, in my Mac toolbar icon was a picture of the black printer. Now when I hit print on a paper, original icon pop up and then converted to an image of a gray printer that does not resemble the printer. Don't know why, but it seems apparent.

To begin I suggest to remove the software and then reinsert from the link below, these are the drivers up to date and I hope this will solve your problem.

    Hello jschembri,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

Regarding your request to install the L7680 on Windows 8, I have the solution. Given that the CD is not compatible Windows 8 you can install with this download: HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver.

This will be just the installer similar from the CD, only specific to WIndows 8.

    I hope this helps

  • Try to install OfficeJet Pro L7680 via a wireless network on OSX 10.8.2

    It does not work!

I watched the videos and documents, and the printer appears in the menu of add printer, no matter how long wait.

I CAN manually add it via the IP address, but it only tri-des works; I can only print B & W and no other feature (fax, scan). I can update the drivers, but the drivers updated... weird, because if I then remove the printer and try and add it again, he will see it as ONLY a fax.

    Router is D - LINK DIR-655, if it's important.

Summary: can add printer via IP, but it his lack of features, cannot add printer via the normal method.

Add a printer by IP Yes, never give all the features, usually only basic printing.

Make sure that your router has the latest firmware and it is freshly restarted by pulling the power plug.

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.
