  You can set the default BIOS ONLY inside the BIOS access BIOS by pressing F2 or at the beginning of the initialization of the order

  But I doubt that this problem is related to the BIOS.
  Maybe it s just a simple bad luck that this problem happened exactly after change something in the BIOS.

  Try connecting an external monitor and check if you can see something on the 2nd screen.

  I just bought an Iconia W3 810 today, after setting up and the Microsoft account I had to install 108 updates. Once they are all downloaded en installed had to reload. The new update Setup has failed and now everytime I try to start it displays a message indicating an error in configuration of the windows updates and it attempts to undo the changes. It was stuck on this during the hours, and when I put the boot order to boot the recovery disc from Acer it will boot the drive, but usually returns to the factory because of a bad disc settings. (I tried two DVDs of 1 or 2 in a powered external usb dvd drive) I have no way to start the tablet or change anything now. Is there a way to solve this problem or do I have to return it to the store and get a refund?

  Hello, if it were a disk you will need accessories. Provided that the Windows installation, Windows will not drivers necessary for your tablet. I would try the Acer support chat option or if you have this option to return. If you do some research here in this forum, you will find a lot of people trying to change the way in which the Tablet is from the factory. But not a lot of success.

  Important: Change BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  You can use an installed antivirus or conflicts occur

  After Marilyn link (which I had already gone before first assignment), I always have problems.
  Regedit.exe is blocked at startup. It does not automatically start even if it is supposed to in windows defender. I don't want to disable or remove it from startup. Just that it runs automatically at startup I want without me clicking on it to run in the taskbar. I'm also quite capable of editing the registry entries. So if there is an incorrect entry could you tell me where to find it.

  The registry editor is not set to run at startup as a clarification. It is an interface that allows you to edit the keys that specify the features and settings of the programs and services within Windows. Is it possible you're referring to another service or function? Also can give you details on what your experience with Windows Defender? To change the allowed items and their settings in Windows Defender:

  Firefox has started crashign at startup after I seconded a button in the bookmarks bar. It does not start in SafeMode either.

  This looks like a problem with the taskbar previews.

  It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

  Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and files possible sessionstore-# .js [3] with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

  Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

  If you have some problems with some Toshiba applications installed, I recommend you to reinstall the program and TOSHIBA common Modules that doesn t work properly!

• HP Pavilion HPE h9-1100 Phoen: computer hangs during startup after installation of 970 GTX

  The problem:

  So here's the deal. I bought a new EVGA GTX 970 and installed in my office (after you have uninstalled the drivers for my old AMD GPU). When that I start it freezes on the BIOS screen. Press a button and the screen goes black; It is still frozen. Fan works in beast mode, until I turn it off.

  What I tried:

  • I checked for if sure it was well installed in the x 16 PCIE slot and connectors double checked.
  • Checked to see if my motherboard supports UEFI (it does)
  • Using another monitor using vga instead of as before display port.
  • EVGA called and suggested they updated my BIOS on HP site (I think I'm already on the latest version)?
  • Called HP and they said I have spend $250 to have a technician to work on it. (I'd rather not pay nearly as much as I paid for the card to install it if I can avoid...)
  • Remove the battery on the motherboard for 5 minutes then replace and powered with the new graphics card.

  None of these things had No effect. (with the exception of the money payer which I have not yet made). I put the old card (Radeon 7670) back in and it started late.

  I'm kind of grasping at straws at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I tried to install the card in HP h9 1300 t friend (he also recently installed the same card) it worked fine, if the card is not defective. Then we installed his gtx 970 in my computer. Same results as before. Startup freezes on the bios screen.

  Sure that I narrowed down it to a compatibility problem with my motherboard. I ordered a new one, the ASRock 970 M Pro3 AM3 + / AM3 AMD 970 + AMD SB950 6 x SATA 6 Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (bite). I'll post here once again with results once it arrives here in a few days. I cross my fingers.

  The level of the BIOS of your PC is not compatible with the video BIOS in the NVIDIA GTX 970.   You need a BIOS to version 8 HP which is not displayed for your PC.

  BTW - A replacement of the card mother not HP will require a new license of Windows.

  Have you tried to install the original preinstalled Toshiba system using the recovery disk to check if the same BSOD error appear?
  If this is not the case, do.
  This BSOD can be linked either hardware or software problem and good work and pre-configured system could clarify the situation.

  Turning off graphics acceleration. Go to preferences-> Performance tab and uncheck the box there.
